This is a lovely hotel with friendly and attentive staff. The hotel, rooms and swimming pool area are very clean. The food is very nice and there is plenty of choice - the food selection changes every day. We never had to queue for anything at this hotel. There is a good mix of nationalities of tourists and the staff make sure that all announcements are made in a variety of languages, including the entertainment, which is nice - no one felt left out. The beach is 10 min walk down the road but there is a hotel shuttle bus (even though the beach and resort is very close!). The beach is stunning.
What I appreciated the most is the service: as we arrived on a night flight there were snack and water put aside for us, on a last day we were able to use the hotel facilities (incl food and drink) even though we had checked out. On the last day every member of staff who noticed we were leaving said goodbye. What more can one expect?

We recently went to Sa Coma and stayed at the HSM Torre Blanca and had an excellent time.We were a little bit anxious having read some of the comments here but found the hotel, staff and facilities to be fantastic and well worth the money.
Starting with the rooms - we had two young children in our group and we were placed in a ground floor apartment - this was great as they have a little patio area and very secure. We also had a fridge in our room which also was very helpful especially for our 1yr old- added to this Grandparents were next door instead of elsewhere so it made the holiday all very easy for us.
The food was very good and there was always a good variety added to this the staff who worked in the restaurant were very friendly and they were constantly cleaning the tables down so there was never an issue with finding somewhere to sit. I have been in hotels with higher star rating where the food was not as good - so definately a bonus.
The pool area is clean and well maintained - there is a bit of an issue of towels going onto beds early doors but it is not that much of an problem - it is just a case of joining in really, if you roll out of bed at 9 and expect a sunlounger you will be disappointed! The pools themselves were great, they are not massive but big enough with a separate split level away from the pool bar.
The pool bar was functional - all alcoholic drinks are behind the bar but slushies, soft drinks , ice creams etc are all self service which reduces queues - so again another bonus. The bar staff again are all very efficient and friendly too, the drinks themselves were good - I don't drink shorts so can't comment on those but the beer and wine was good enough - no complaints here!
At night the pool bar is a bit quieter and has a very nice atmosphere as the main entertainment takes place in a little staged area elsewhere. The entertainment staff worked very hard throughout our stay and were always arranging something - our children particularly loved the mini disco which happened around 8pm on most evenings, this also tired them out a bit which was good! The entertainment staff put on shows most nights and there was a lot of effort in these - I think that there was maybe 6 entertainment staff and they really tried hard and we really enjoyed them.
Regarding the guests - as it has been mentioned the majority are European but I don't understand why this is a problem at all - there was a nice family atmosphere about the place and we mixed with Germans, Dutch , Spanish and had a great time! I would recommend it 100% as an inexpensive venue to take a young family. We would go back to this Hotel.

Regarding the resort - it was about a 15 minute walk to the beach or a 2min drive in the shuttle service that runs from reception. The beach is fantastic, very family orientated, clean water and a long wade into the water, no sudden drop offs so it makes it suitable for young children.

PS - the entertainment staff used to organise events in English, Spanish and German - so we never felt left out at all. The majority of the songs in the mini disco were in Spanish/German but these are songs with a tune - mostly my children danced to the tunes rather than sit there worrying about what was said/sung!

My partner and daughter have just spent a week at torre blanca and we had a great time, although british families were a little few and far between we mixed in not a problem with the Spanish Dutch and German families there. The Swimming pool and poolside area is great. Be up very very early with your towel if you want a poolside lounger though, 6 am is good enough.
Restaurant was very good in fact ive had similar in 4 star accomodation cant fault it.

The entertainment wasnt that of a west end show in fact it was a little hard work understanding what was going on in 4 languages nevertheless I found the bingo quite amuzing and all in all a lot of effort by the staff.

Good work torre blanca a+

This was our first all inclusive trip and we paid a little extra so that we could get the most bang for our buck. We were very disappointed. The food was very bland and the same every day. The chicken and pork was red and not cooked very well. We had ants in our room and when we complained, they were supposed to send someone up, but no one came. Our room was right above the bar and could not sleep due to all the noise. With no air conditioning, we had to choose between sweating or the noise. It was the same guest every day that would use the lawn chairs by the pool, or just leave their towels on them to reserve them for the whole day. The alcohol was watered down. The one positive was that the staff were very friendly and most would communicate in multiple languages. Outside the hotel it was very nice, with multiple choices for dining and shopping at reasonable prices and the beach was also excellent. I would not recommend this resort for the price we paid. It would be fine just to sleep and then go eat somewhere else. As all-inclusive you are better off to go somewhere else.

Room Tip: Anywhere away from the bar, eating area or theatre area.

I spent the same two weeks at Torre Blanca as the English family below and must say that our European companions were very friendly and hospitable.

If you want egg and chips, knobbly knees competitions and Sky Sports, go to Blackpool.
If you like to experience a mix of nationalities then there's no better place in Sa Coma in my view.

The Staff were very helpful, all could speak good English and made every effort to make us feel welcome. The entertainment is similar to other HSM hotels, and all in English. the music is European, but the kids loved it and learned a few words of Danish, Dutch and of course German.

if the couple below had taken the time to speak to any of the other guests they would have found that there were many German, Dutch French, Russians and Poles as well as us Scots.

We had a great time, we've used HSM hotels before and weren't disappointed this time either. The accommodation is 3star, no frills but good enough, tidy and clean. The food is plentiful, continental in style and satisfied our two fussy kids every day. The pool is lovely and there is plenty of room for the kids to fool around in.

All in all a great break and well deserving of its stars.

family of four just returned from club torre blanca ( 2 adults and 2 children aged 2 and 3)

felt i had to come on here and write a review as i booked this accomodation based on the positive reviews on here and was totally mislead in some respects.

whilst the hotel is well kept and generally clean with excellent staff i feel that it shouldn't be advertised on websites with avaliability for british families. i had seen on here that there was a strong german presence at this hotel but it was only on our first day that we realised we were in fact the only english family staying at the resort. the people that were staying there were mostly german along with some dutch and french too. all i can say that it made me extremely proud to be british and have been brought up with manners. the people staying there were generally rude. they barged about in the dining room as if they owned the place and their social behaviour at times was disgusting... especially in the pool. as the mother of a girl of 3 and a boy of 2 i was trying to help them gain confidence in the water yet the older german children thought nothing of throwing water in their faces and squirting them with strong water pistols. kids being kids you may say... however none of these childrens parents did anything about it!!! i would be appalled if my children did that to someone else smaller than them.

all the entertainment was in german too with minimal english. the childrens entertainment programme was a german package called 1 2 FLY and my 3 year old daughter spent the first 3 days devastated that she couldn't understand the songs they were singing or dancing to. she couldn't go to the kids club as all notices for the club were in german.

we felt totally isolated in this resort and spent some days down at the beach just to get away from this.

onto the hotel itself we were in the seville block at the back... apartment 118 and whilst the apartment was fine for the 4 of us it was quite small and had no air conditioning which was stifling in the 30+ degree heat. rooms were really stuffy with big ceiling fans that just circulated the hot air. fridges have to be hired at a cost of 6 euros per day or 40 per week which is disgusting in my opinion especially as a family with a young child who drinks fresh milk. maid service is good. maid cleaned 6 out of 7 days we were there. fresh towels all the time too. big ant problem in our room too. first of all it was just a few in the bathroom but by end of our week they were in kitchenette too. yuck!!!

food was ok but thats about it. made me laugh when speaking to a dutch woman that she thought that the hot buffet choices at breakfast were the english influence! bacon that was in fact pork belly... hot dogs for sausages... lunch and dinner were better and puddings were yummy!!! i cannot fault that the food was hot and fresh being constantly replenished by the efficient staff.

drinks good choice of soft drinks and slush for kids from 10am till midnight. spirits weak though as is often case at all inc resorts.

sa coma is a lovely little resort but don't think enough there to go back again and definately not back to the club torre blanca. had it had more brits there and a british entertainment programme then a totally different experience may have been had but under the circumstances i felt relly disappointed that we spent our money there when we could have gone elsewhere and had a better time.

luckily we enjoyed our time together as a family which is rare as a family where both me and my other half work full time alongside caring for our 2 young children so time together is precious.

DO NOT GO IF YOU ARE BRITISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! receptionist even apologised to us on our last day about lack of british people there. i feel so strongly that this should not be advertised for british occupancy that i have written a complaint to our booking agents.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Guests,

Thank you for your comments. We are sorry to hear that our hotel was not exactly what you have expected. Our Apartments HSM Torre Blanca are not defined with a type of client, it depends of the month we have more Spanish or Skandivian guests, other months more germans. But if you are looking for a bristish ambiente, we have the hotel HSM Canarios Park or HSM Calas Park (also we do have hotels in the area of Magalluf), where you will find mostly british clients and so more english animation programs. We will be glad to inform you fot the next time.

With kind regards,

After much deliberation on whether we could afford a holiday this year, we eventually booked this resort 24 hrs before scheduled departure, based primarily on the price and positive feedback we had seen on this website.
We knew we had made the right choice when we arrived at the hotel at midnight, with an exhausted 2 and 4 year old in tow, and the receptionist not only provided us a box full of food and drinks that they had earlier put aside for us, but without asking then assisted us with carrying several of our bags to our room!
For a three star hotel the resort exceeded out expectations with a very clean and comfortable apartment, clean and sizeable pool for both kids and adults, a wide selection of good quality and tasty food at all meal times, and very friendly and helpful staff.
If you prefer the comfort of British food, entertainment and company then this may not be the place for you, but if you are like something a bit more cosmopolitan then it will be. The majority of families staying there were from Europe (mainly Germany) and there still exists the cultural behaviour of reserving sunbeds by the pool with a towel at the crack of dawn (which then may or may not be occupied for the remainder of the day), however everyone was sociable, the kids were all well behaved and the atmosphere was definitely better than what I have experienced in 'all British' resorts.
Having stayed at Alcudia before, which we liked, for me Sa Coma was a better resort generally, with a nice sandy beach (15 minutes walk from the hotel), clean sea and nice shops, facilities etc.
With the busier Cala Millor ten minutes away by bus, the location was good for whatever you wanted, although definitely suited better for couples and families (especially those with younger children).
If we wanted to be picky it would have been nice to have had a fridge (has to be hired for all inclusive guests), a better TV and selection of channels (14" screen and all German/ Spanish speaking..apart from BBC world news) and greater access to sunbeds, but overall, for a holiday on a budget this proved to us that if you do the right research you can find something decent out there for your money.

Room Tip: I would recommend asking for a 1st floor or 2nd floor apartment, purely from a security/privacy pers...
