We have just returned from 2 weeks staying at the Palmeras Playa and had an excellent time. The hotel is fully refurbished to a high standard. Our room was modern, bright airy and overlooking the pool. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were incredibly helpful, polite and all in all lovely people. (especially Rachel at reception) The food was outstanding. There was so much choice all day long and all prepared to a very high standard, it was impossible not to enjoy. Ignore any negative comments on here regarding food (or indeed anything else) as i cant believe it could possibly be true (usual compensation seekers im guessing) You will not be disappointed if you book up here, it really is a lovely hotel, clean and well equipped, with staff who cant do enough for you. Its literally 2 minutes to the beach so after a morning by the pool we would wander across to the beach to snorkel and then return to another swim in the pool. The hotel caters for all ages and is a perfect family hotel. The entertainment team were fantastic. We will miss Kamilla very much! Theres plenty for the little ones to keep them busy and the older ones too. The entertainment for the adults runs through the day also with various activities and in the evenings there is the kiddies disco, entertainment for all, followed by the club dances for all which we loved. Everyone gets together and has fun. It finishes at 11pm (probably due to noise restrictions) so you can always sleep well without music pumping out. We often felt peckish by then and there were sandwiches served in the bar until midnight. Perfect. We took advantage of a day at La Reserva nearby. Its a lovely pool, with swim up bar, jacuzzi, childrens area and a couple of flumes for the kids (or big kids!) The all inclusive is applicable once youre in and the food was fantastic. Ask at reception about it. Its definately worth a day out. (Walkable, but taxi only 4 euros) We paid 9 euros each (adult) and 4.50 kids. Worth every penny. We also did Western water park (have been there previously and loved it) but take your driving license and hire a car from reception at a good rate because its a long coach journey otherwise and you really dont get long enough there and you really need a full day to enjoy it properly. Dont miss the diving show though-fantastic! Overall, do not hesitate to book up here or relax and look forward to it if you already have! Im actually quite fussy and i loved every minute, could not find any fault whatsoever. Thank you to all at Palmeras Playa for a perfect relaxing holiday. (ps- are Kamilla and Mika a couple?? If not, they should be! They were fantastic together! he he!)

Ok, to keep it simple: Great location, great rooms, and food quality about average for a 4* hotel in Majorca. The only real flaw is that because this hotel was not designed to be an 'All Inclusive' resort , it sufers from the dining area in the main restaurant being a little small. With the sheer numbers coming in at both breakfast and dinner, being at times, above what is comforatble. However the staff work extremely hard to clear and make up tables, so the wait is kept too a minimum. A second buffet to get the food from, and say a few more tables would sort this, but unfortunatley there isn't the space. The pool area can get crowded, but being peak season not surprising Resort itself a little quiet, but great for families with small children. Beach was lovley and only a couple of minutes walk away.

We've just returned from a weeks holiday staying in Sa Coma @ the palmeras playa. The hotel was great, rooms were very modern and very spacious. The bed was huge! Bathroom was lovely with a huge shower!! All rooms had a view of the swimming pool &entertainment area however it was noisy until 11pm with the music and entertainment, but nothing to complain about. Food was fantastic, the best all inclusive food we've tried! There was a big selection of meats/fish and veg, every dessert possible, breakfast was great, cooked if you wanted it or cereals, toast, croissants etc. I especially liked the fact the chefs were freshly cooking the food in front of you while you waited. all the staff were very friendly and spoke better English than us!! Swimming pool area was nice, bit small for the amount of sun beds, we had to get up early everyday to ensure we got 2 sun beds together.....along with every other person staying at the hotel! But it was never a problem! Just outside of the hotel(2-3 min walk) was the nice long sandy beach, very clean. With some lovely places to walk to over the rocks! Just behind the beach were the 'souvenir shops, little supermarkets and bars. We went with First Choice and went out on a trip to Palma shopping And a visit to the Valdemossa- lovely picturesque town up in the mountains, def worth a visit! We really enjoyed this hotel and contemplating coming back next year!

We have just returned from the Palmeras Playa after staying here the last week in July. This hotel was listed as a four star but has a way to go yet before being close to it due to the fact the food was poor quality and poor choice. The hotel itself and its decor, bar areas and rooms are all fantastic as it has been totally refurbished and the bathrooms in your room and also the toilets throughout the public areas of the hotel are gorgeous. However, the main dishes in the restaurant are very poor compared to 3 star properties we have stayed in. Although you cannot fault breakfast and the choice of salad and vegetable/pasta accompaniments at lunch and dinner, the main restaurant dishes have a poor choice and consist of poor quality tough cuts of meat which quite frankly let the hotel down. I have stayed in 2 star hotels with better quality/choice of food eg (Paraiso de Alcudia, Majorca). If this is going to be a Thomson Premier Hotel in 2012 then they need to get a new chef, a new meat supplier and get an extra buffet counter in to hold more choice of main dishes. Hotel built unusual design in a u shape and it means the area around the pool only gets sun at certain times of the day and the rest of the time it is in the shade. Entertainment usual miming and dancing about by the same team each night, if you want some real entertainment go to the Britannia Bar at the other end of the Ses Savines Road, we saw some great tribute acts such as Take That and Lady Gaga whilst we were there and the food is good if you fancy a meal out. Sa Coma itself is a small resort which is quiet and not a lot going on, get a taxi for 5 euros into Cala Millor if you love shopping. Nice beach, lovely sand and shallow waters great for little ones.

Room Tip: We were booked for a superior room but were given a suite which was beautiful.

I stayed here from 21st july for 1 week with my 2 daughters, I cant beleive some of the bad reviews Ive read! The rooms were spotlessly clean and very spacious, with many english channels on tv, we had a fridge but did not use it as were AI, the staff on reception were great cudnt do enough to help, the bar staff and restaurant staff were always friendly and polite, we never had any trouble getting a seat in restaurant or around the pool area. I agree with the comments about the first choice rep we also did not see him and there was no welcome meeting, but that did not spoil our holiday.
Sadly the weather wasnt that good, but you just have to make the most of the holiday, we met some really nice people and had a fab time! I would definatly go back to this hotel.
