Fantastic hotel, very clean with Great service from all the staff, food is amazing would Deffinetly recommend the spicy stir fry! the 3 entertainment guys work hard to get every one envolved and the 2 girls are stunning! a good evening performance most nights! which is great, only problem are the tourists who stay there no control over the children either at the Pool side or around the food, should probably blame the parents, overall a great hotel with very hard working staff 2 minutes from a beautiful beach!

After booking this holiday through First Choice and reading some amazing reviews over the last 4 months I was really excited about visiting Palmeras Playa. I have just come back and felt the need to share my thoughts. I very much wanted the hotel to live up to my high expectations but in truth it didn't.

I travelled as a couple without children and although I knew this was a family hotel, I certainly didn't except quite so many children. I found that it was very difficult to have a leisurely swim in the pool because it just isn't big enough for the size of hotel. As other reviewers have stated, the reserving of sun beds is really quite annoying. On arrival the Rep clearly asks people NOT to reserve sun beds before 9am yet some people continue to do so, often not returning to them for hours. The sun beds are also far to close together.

The hotel itself is very clean and well presented, the rooms are spacious and the showers are amazing! The beds are unfortunately very hard but you can ask for a topper which does provide a tiny bit more comfort. The cleaners come every day and will change the towels if left of the bathroom floor but be aware that they start fairly early (8am onwards) so if you do not want them to walk in when you are sleeping then leave the "do not disturb" sign outside the door! The hotel does offer WiFi but unfortunately we couldn't get this to connect even though our room was on the 2nd floor! To access the WiFi we had to sit in reception which was a pain.

The food is always very varied and there is lots of choice for everyone, although as it is produced on a mass scale, it can sometimes taste very average. Although that said, the stir fry chap does them fresh to order and they taste amazing. On arrival at the hotel they offer you a voucher to attend an Italian night which is a half table service but if you want pizza you need to ask the waiter for it as we discovered slightly too late but the night is worth attending. The drinks through the day at the outside bar are good with a self service beer pump and all the soft drinks required. The staff will pure spirits for you if you ask but these are only house/local spirits. Also, if you fancy a cocktail then most of these are not included and need paying for.

The hotel is situated very nicely and so close to Sa Coma beach. We spent a day there and the sand and sea were so clean/clear so definitely worth a visit. There is also a strip with lots of restaurants and bars in case you decide you have had enough of the average "professional" shows. On a Saturday night there is a lovely late night market with all sorts of nice things like candles, toys etc almost like an Aladdin's cave! Lucas/Lukas (children's entertainer) was very good, he is literally on the go all day everyday and gets the crowd involved.

Room Tip: Block B gets no sun at all so if you love the sun then this isn't the block for you.

We went here for a two weeks the first two week break my wife and I have been on.
It was a great decision to pick this hotel from the multitude of available hotels from Thompson firstchoice .
I have never been so I awe of reception staff as I was here they absolutely brilliant and a very well done to them .They go out of their way to make your holiday the best and help you achieve it if you ask .They are all lovely .
The room we had was fantastic and in a great place over looking the stage (don't worry all entertainment fininshes at 11)try and get C block although there is not a lot of sun there it was a relief for us .
walk in shower as the rest of the bathroom was very nice and very clean. The bed was huge! ! And the furniture was very nice IKEA sort of quality. The room was kept very clean buy the chamber maid.
The only iffy thing as said on previous reviews the pool area is quite small for the size of the hotel sunbeds I am afraid can be a premium. Apart from that it was lovely place to be and the pool bar is the usual type of thing but the staff were very happy in their work.
The restaurant again was far above average food was varied and hot and replenished when needed. Please try the stir fries !!OMG the sweets and unlike previous hotels they didn't just look different they all tasted different.
If you get the opportunity eat at the Italian it's really nice and makes a great change (we recommend the mushroom ravioli)
We had a great time at the protur palmeris .Thank you all the staff for a great holiday.

We found the rooms enormous and very clean and with everything you could possibly need,
The food was excellent, great choice everyday.what made the difference to us was,the staff, the girls on reception were very helpful and kind and always very pleasant, They made checking in very easy. The rest of the hotel team were always very happy and pleasant, they seem to enjoy their work and they passed this on to ensure we were having a enjoyable time too. everywhere was spotless, cleaned everyday, there's a life guard and medic all day by the pool. there are plenty of sun beds, to many really you're crammed in like sardines that's the only complaint there is.
Its only 100mts to the fantastic beach and the hotel lone you sun brollies free, Once again the hotel & staff were marvelous. We had a fantastic holiday and would have no hesitation in going back.

Room Tip: They are all superior rooms

Stayed in June 2014 for 1 week and fantastic stay. The superior room was clean, modern and spacious. Large balcony overlooking the pool and the all inclusive was classy with smart restaurant and attentive staff. I would recommend paying 6 euros for a bottle of upgraded wine at dinner as this was Superb value and much higher quality. Close to the beach and and do check out the facilities at the sister hotels which are about a 15min walk away.

Room Tip: Our beds were a little firm but the reception staff arranged for a mattress topper which was great.

Just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel and found it brilliant. The rooms are big, and very clean. All the staff are lovely but a special mention to our great bar man Kevin who was just great! The food is good, you can always find something you like and a great veggie selection too. The towels on sun beds is something that happens everywhere, so just go to the beach it's great. We had a fantastic holiday and would have no hesitation in going back.

Room Tip: High floor

We have recently returned from the Protur Palmeras Playa with Thomson for 1 week, we travelled as a couple both aged 23 (I celebrated my birthday whilst out there!). We went to this hotel on recommendation from my partners parents who have been before and loved it.
Firstly, credit to Thomson for the very comfortable flight and smooth transfer to the resort - I couldn't fault any of the staff at all, all very friendly and easily found in the airport to guide us to our transfer bus.
Once we arrived in resort we were swiftly checked in by the hotel staff, all with a friendly smile and they explained the layout of the hotel and eating times etc.
Hotel rooms are AMAZING! We were lucky enough to be upgraded and had a suite room on the 4th floor which was fantastic. The beds were comfortable enough for us (although it is 2 singles pushed together) and plenty of wardrobe space etc. Bathrooms were beautiful, the shower is huge and the staff have kept the rooms extremely clean - very impressed!
Food is great, always a good variety, my partner was particularly impressed that on some nights he could get freshly cooked steak! I also found the stir fry lovely and this was again cooked fresh. Also lots of the typical all inclusive food - something to suit all. We never struggled to get a seat outside and the tables were cleared quickly.
Staff were always smiling and happy to help - definitely make the hotel.
We caught a couple of nights entertainment, our favourite being the comedian (Family Man I think?!), and one of the bands, however can't comment too much on any of the others.
Great location for us as right near to the beach (gorgeous beach) and could have a walk round to a few of the bars/restaurants.
We received 3 bottles of Champagne (Cava) during our stay as it was my birthday, our anniversary and my partner was a returning guest - lovely thought from the hotel.
Over all I couldn't fault this hotel at all, it is more of a family hotel so if you want to party don't go here! Good for a relax and good quality/value.

Room Tip: Rooms opposite stage seem good as you can sit on your balcony and watch the entertainment. If you ca...
