Glorious view to the monastery, which is illuminated at night and to the hills and valley; the setting really is wonderful. Sitting at breakfast, which is plentiful, with just the best scrambled eggs, you hear the tinkling of goat bells, cockerels and gentle baaing sheep; idyllic.
The honesty bar by the pool is a great idea and towels in plentiful supply and umbrellas for shade.
The best part is because there are only 12 rooms, you don't have a scramble for seating, or have to put up with annoying others over breakfast being too close. It feels very private and calming. The staff are really super and you only have to request something and it is there. So friendly and personal. The food is simply delicious, even if you weren't staying it would be worth coming just for dinner, it is really excellent, the best we had and in such a fabulous setting. n.b Taxis are expensive and few and far between at night.More
