Small fishermen village with several wonderful seafood/fish restaurants right on the beach. No tourist crowds or built-up beach here, pure authentic atmosphere and hospitality.

If you desire a bit of oddness. This is it. One must seek out this area. once there one needs to bring a nice book and lounge along the seaside and enjoy the air, view and tranquility. there is no starbucks, no commercialization, and only the sea to enjoy.
The beach is rocky and another one can be hiked fy foot if you dare. The water is a bit rough,But it is an adventure and lovely to see.
Some cute restaurants on the sea. Locals come here on weekends.

The tiny fishing village of Playa Quemada is totally unspoiled by the concrete ugliness that has violated much of Lanzarote's coastline. It is testament to its original identity that there is not even a local bus service, so we got there by the breath-taking cliff walk from Puerto Del Carmen.
The village has four restaurants on the beach front, and even these succeed in fitting in with the quiet pace of life here. Think of the small beach-side restaurant run by Tom Conti's character in the film Shirley Valentine, and you will get some idea of what they are like.
The beach has no sand and is very long, with the restaurants at the village end. The far end appeared to be naturist. The surface is large flattish stones rounded at the edges, and almost completely black. Physicists reading this will know that this significantly raises the temperature of the water when the sun shines.
Playa Quemada is a beautiful romantic setting, with no noisy anything. So much of Lanzarote is commercialised, a visit to this quiet spot is a quiet alternative.
Enjoy.

Well worth the 10 minute walk over the hill to get to the volcanic beach. Quemada was very quiet when we visited - and the fact you have to walk over a hill makes this beach even quieter. Quite sheltered and nice swimming - but note that as it is East facing with a large cliff behind it you lose the sun quite a bit before sunset.
