Although the guy out front is a bit pushy, this is a very friendly, helpful and nice restaurant. we stopped twice, once for a drink and once for lunch. the food was excellent, not the cheapest around, but this is a nice, clean modern restaurant.

It has a great view over the seat, with excellent seating inside and out.

My only concern is there is no lock on the mens toilet, it is broken and the door opens on it own, for direct view of the restaurant. Don't make the mistake of thinking this is a communal toilet, it is a single cubical, so they either need to fix the lock, or you need to take a friend to hold the door closed!

One of the better venues in the resort.

We have visited El Bribon since it opened but this is the first time with my disabled mother. They were very helpful and their facilities are some of the best in the town,The menu is varied an always very well cooked. The addition of a next door bar is very welcome during the ay we enjoyed cocktails and tapas in the sun enjoying the beautiful view.

La Mar is in a lovely location, and the restaurant itself is still nicely laid out, but... The starter (Special almost tapas like selection of Octopus, bits of fried Fish, Canarian potatoes) was overcooked and not too clever (could swear the Canarian potatoes tasted a little mouldy. Our main course of Sea Bass and Bream looked like identical fish and were massively over cooked and impossible to bone. Deserts were OK. The whole meal cost €90 plus a tip which we gave (waitresses were very pleasant, but we had to go to counter at end as La Cuenta por favor did not seem to register (probably more to do with my almost non-existent Spanish) so too expensive and pretty poor

Just to let folks know, this restaurant is no longer known as El Bribon but is now called El Mar. I think following a change in ownership. We have only stopped by for a drink since the change so I cannot comment on food dishes. The view from the restaurant is wonderful and they have both inside and outside seating. Service was good. Only negative was the bloke standing outside trying to get people in, who was being a bit more pushy than all the other guys.
