“Hmmmm....Confused”
Reviewed 26 August 2010

We stayed at Villa Romana (villa 10.3), however, not sure whether this was really Villa Romana as it wasn't the same Villa in the photos on the holiday booking website. That aside, it was still a lovely and spacious. Check-in was easy and we were shown to the villa and full instructions given on the various aspects, ie, jacuzzi, aircon, etc by Sven. The villa is quite far from the centre of Corralejo (I would guess about a 50 minute walk) and we found the car(s) we hired for the duration of our two week stay were a must. The area surrounding the villa is not particularly attractive as there is a lot of unfinished building work and also inside the complex itself there were a few villas being renovated/finished. In our street, there were at least 4 or 5 villas which were unoccupied.

Utensils in the villa were pretty basic, but it sufficed for us and we had a basic barbecue kit for a 5 euro deposit from reception. The pool and jacuzzi were great, although water did tend to get everywhere. The pool/jacuzzi were cleaned regularly and bed linen/towels were changed at least twice during the two week period we were there.

It was fairly private, although there were a group of people in the villa attached to ours who you could see and hear quite clearly until dawn most days!

If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday (apart from the driving), where you are happy to spend your time around the villa, then I can recommend these villas. If you are looking for a place to stay that is in the centre of the town and near to restaurants/bars/beaches then Bahiazul will not meet your requirements.

stopped in villa romana it was very nice but 1 or 2 simple things could of made a big difference 1 bbq and no gear to use it [like having a car but no petrol]
no 2 electric keep tripping [fix the fault and it will stop tripping]
3 patio doors very unsafe 1 tug and they open
4 no oven self catering and no oven uh!
5 location not ideal like a bomb site when walking to centre
good points
1 private villa
2 very clean
3 nice pool area
4 good roof terrace
5 and best of all sven & pascal nicest people you will meet

What a gorgeous place. The villas are superb - real luxury. They are very clean and bright and spacious. The private pool and roof terrace are breathtaking. The privacy and peacefullness really made this a memorable beak away and the beauty was gorgeous both day and night. We arrived to a very warm welcome from Pascal who was great throughout our stay and the lovely Sven looked atfer our every need, the night time security man was really sweet aswell. I would deffinately rate this 5 star accommodation with most deffinatley 5 star service. We would return in the blink of an eye********************************************************************************************

Travelled with husband,2 sons, their wives and 19mth old grandaughter.Villa was even nicer than the photos.Everything in it was first class, from furnishings and decor right down to kitchen utensils and crockery etc.My husband and I have been to corralejo on many occasions and always go self catering to this resort as we enjoy the many restaurants. How good it was to actually have EVERYTHING you need for 6 adults and a toddler.Having your own pool was bliss, lovely to cool down in and the rooftop jaccuzi was fantastic.I had read some reviews that the jaccuzi did not heat up.In villa bougambilla I can assure you if you make sure you understand how to work it properly you will find it heats up lovely.Pascal and all staff are extremely pleasant and will do absolutely anything they can to help to make sure you have a great stay. The villas are outside town but we hired a car which is very good value compared to some other destinations.Walking could be done but I would say it would probably take about 45 mins.Taxis are also cheap here.It just suited us to have a car for the baby. Also it was so relaxing and quiet in the complex you got a great sleep after sitting round the lit pool and in the jaccuzi. We all had a wonderful holiday at Villa Bougambilla and I would have no hesitation in recommending it.So a big thank you to Cesar,Pascal and staff for making it possible.

We have been staying in villas all over Europe for over 25 years. This villa was very nice and spaceous but we feel that it lacked in cooking facilities ie an oven and grill. The bbq was in a good spot but if you wanted to eat up on the roof area the table was too high!! The lack of toilet doors in 2 of the bedrooms needed getting used to. overall we really enjoyed our stay and all the staff were extremeally helpful and pleasent and the whole of the complex was immaculate!!!!

if you stay here at the bahiazul resort, you will not be dissapointed, pascal and his staff are fantastic, they cannot do enough for you to make your stay a great one, the resort is well maintained as its cleanliness, along with the facilities that are on offer e.g tennis courts, restaurant, and spa and more are superb. Bahiazul is situated just outside Corralejo town, but easy within walking distance to the shops, restaurants and beaches and night life, oh and i musnt forget Bacu Water Park is only up the road for a great day out, but if you dont there is everything you need on site, and the local shop is a 5 minute walk away. I amongst others im sure will be re-booking for next year, the island offers a great deal to see and do also.

Stayed at Bahiazul for one week and we had a fabulous time. The villa was immaculate and the complex is extremely well run. We had some disappointing weather for the first few days but we made use of the Spa on the complex and it was very relaxing. Pascal and Sven were extremely helpful and friendly to us and that makes all the difference!!
Would definitely return again and have no hesitation in recommending this well run complex.
