August 2010
We have just come back from a wonderful 2 week stay at Bahiazul Villas Club. The complex, villa and staff were absolutely brilliant.

The restaurant on site was fantastic. The service and food excellent.
We cannot thank everyone enough for making our stay the most perfect happy holiday. Our special thanks to Pascal, Sven and Natalia.

One word of warning.
Do not hire your car through the internet site Car3000. They provided a car for us through Orlando Hire Car.

When we got to this trading estate from the airport we were horrified to see the state of the car we had booked. It was unroad worthy, bald tyres so badly damaged and the engine sounded as though it would blow up. The fifth car we were offered was not that much better but had to accept it as all cars on the island had been allocated.

Make sure you ask the villa owner or Pascal for advice on car hire.

All that said we got to the beautiful beaches. This holiday will hold
many happy memories for me and my family.

We went to Bahiazul Villas with my partner and 4 children. I literally came home this morning and had to write my review and rate how lovely the villa and staff are. From the moment we arrived the staff could not do enough for us, we were picked up at the gates by the security man and taken to our villa in a golf buggy, much to the delight of our children. The villa was out of this world, when we arrived it was 10.30pm and the villa was all lit up and all the pool area looked gorgeous, the children jumped into the pool there and then. Pascal (the manager) was so helpful and friendly, he visited us the next day and went through everything with us, he was so friendly and helpful as were all the staff, even the maids were lovely and chatty and could not do enough to make our stay more comfortable, the villa is spotless and the photos did not do it justice. We felt totally safe with the 24 hour security and never even used the safe or even locked our patio doors at night. The highlight for me was the hot tub on the roof terrace, sitting in that in the daytime with the sun beating down on me can not be beaten, the pool was gorgeous if you needed to cool down, the kids were never out of the pool. The little touches like intercom throughout the rooms and the fact that you could have music on either radio or your ipod throughout the villa made it so much more enjoyable. I actually spent most of my time sunbathing on the rooftop terrace on the gorgeous comfy sunloungers, with a full day of sunshine. We got taxis into town and this worked out at aroun 4euros to 5euros, the vast restarunts and bars and shops in town made it a fantastic holiday. The food in the Bahiazul Restaurant was out of this world with excellent friendly staff. There is a gym and sauna and spa and also tennis courts to use. Also the spa shower in the master bedroom is so fabulous! We will definately be back, Pascal and his staff made our holiday unforgetable! AAAA+

Just returned from our second visit this year (see April review). This time, as we suspected, the villa was much better equipped - almost everything you could ask for. Fully equipped kitchen including oven, microwave and dishwasher, extremely high standard of furnishings and air-con throughout. Fabulous hot tub!

A couple of gripes... the pool was cleaned as well as it might have been and the en-suite shower in the master suite did not drain properly.

Watch out for the pool area! The surface on the villa we rented was painted with gloss paint. I slipped on the wet floor and ended up in casualty with seven stitches to my head and a 1200 Euro hospital bill.

Lovely villa, had a wonderful holiday here, couldn't have been more relaxing. Children loved it. Ate out of onsite restaurant a couple of times, food very good. Didn't hire a car taxis readily available and very cheap. However in saying that it is a nice walk into correlejo centre. Pascal and Sven very welcoming and helpful and made our stay more enjoyable.

We stayed at Villa Romana (villa 10.3), however, not sure whether this was really Villa Romana as it wasn't the same Villa in the photos on the holiday booking website. That aside, it was still a lovely and spacious. Check-in was easy and we were shown to the villa and full instructions given on the various aspects, ie, jacuzzi, aircon, etc by Sven. The villa is quite far from the centre of Corralejo (I would guess about a 50 minute walk) and we found the car(s) we hired for the duration of our two week stay were a must. The area surrounding the villa is not particularly attractive as there is a lot of unfinished building work and also inside the complex itself there were a few villas being renovated/finished. In our street, there were at least 4 or 5 villas which were unoccupied.

Utensils in the villa were pretty basic, but it sufficed for us and we had a basic barbecue kit for a 5 euro deposit from reception. The pool and jacuzzi were great, although water did tend to get everywhere. The pool/jacuzzi were cleaned regularly and bed linen/towels were changed at least twice during the two week period we were there.

It was fairly private, although there were a group of people in the villa attached to ours who you could see and hear quite clearly until dawn most days!

If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday (apart from the driving), where you are happy to spend your time around the villa, then I can recommend these villas. If you are looking for a place to stay that is in the centre of the town and near to restaurants/bars/beaches then Bahiazul will not meet your requirements.

stopped in villa romana it was very nice but 1 or 2 simple things could of made a big difference 1 bbq and no gear to use it [like having a car but no petrol]
no 2 electric keep tripping [fix the fault and it will stop tripping]
3 patio doors very unsafe 1 tug and they open
4 no oven self catering and no oven uh!
5 location not ideal like a bomb site when walking to centre
good points
1 private villa
2 very clean
3 nice pool area
4 good roof terrace
5 and best of all sven & pascal nicest people you will meet
