After having hired a car (CICAR) and driven around most of the day we took a break on the beach with all the Kite surfers looking out towards Lobos.
The sands are clean and white, and warm for some too warm. The sea cool on entry but comfortable once you're swimming.
To be able to lie in the sun watching the kite surfers learn & practice their skills was so relaxing.

The harbour is lovely. We loved walking along the front where all the restaurants and bars. We walked from the market down main street to the harbour. Got on local bus back to are hotel.

If you want a bit of privacy then this an ideal place for it, with miles of sand dunes it is an ideal place for a long walk. If you like that sort of thing but be aware you may come across some naked people, wind surfers are in abundance It can get quite windy but still take sun cream as it can catch you out.

Bathed in the gentle peaceful shore while wee fish nibbled our feet. Pleasantly comfortable and an experience that would have cost a fortune in a therapy shop. Taken by surprise however by the appearance of nudists literally out enjoying their freedom as it were. Did put me on the evening bratwurst back at the hotel.

the sand dunes are vast and go on for miles. there are lots of nudists on the beach and if that's what you like i am sure you will love the beach. tried the nudist thing but unfortunately I got sunburn on me naturals so wont be doing that again. all in all a cracking beach specially if you like kite surfing . the wind is strong and the kite surfers have great fun. The wind was not a problem as it is lovely and warm. probably that's how I burnt me you know what.
