Just got back from our 9th stay at this hotel. This time we didn't book a sea view room and got a room overlooking the sand dunes at the front of the hotel. We were very happy with it particularly as the balcony was bathed in sunshine most of the day whilst some of the sea view rooms weren't so we will no longer be asking for a sea view. I would be happy with any room at this hotel as they are all pleasantly located. We prefer being on the higher floors and these can be reached by either stairs or lifts. There are 5 floors. Reception staff greet you on arrival and invite you to have a drink of sparkling wine or orange whilst they prepare your details. A porter takes your cases to your room. All rooms have a safe but you do have to pay 16 euros if you want to use it.
There are two sittings for dinner 6 and 8pm. So inform reception when you arrive which you prefer or email them before you arrive with your preferred choice. The food at dinner is buffet style and there is plenty of choice. Breakfast is also buffet style and we enjoyed taking a glass of the sparkling wine out onto the terrace afterwards. There is another small restaurant where lunch is available which we didn't use on this occasion but we did try the ham and cheese toasties available at the pool bar on one day but I would not recommend them.
There is a supermarket, restaurant and beach bar close to the hotel. However we did make up some small sandwiches at breakfast and took them to our rooms for later in the day as many other guests were doing.
Every single member of staff is very friendly and helpful and each work very hard to ensure we enjoyed our holiday. Nothing is too much trouble.
The beds are hard but we like them that way. You have a minibar in your room should you wish to use it but obviously you pay extra for anything you take from here.
We love visiting this hotel because it is away from any hustle and bustle and is perfect if you just need to rest and relax. It is perfectly situated right on a beautiful beach which is very clean has white sand and the sea is just a beautiful turquoise. The beach is manned by lifeguards and it is great fun jumping the waves but as other reviewers have said don't expect to float on your lilo it can be quite lively and children would need to be watched. We enjoyed going for a run every morning along the beach before breakfast it's just such a beautiful setting. There were other runners at this time or people just enjoyed walking along the beach.
We couldn't be bothered getting up at some ungodly hour as others did to put towels on the sun loungers but we would stroll to the pool about 11am and we never struggled to find a sun lounger.
Corralejo town is about one and a half hours walk away if you walk all along the coast and beaches or a short taxi ride away and has every type of restaurant available and lots if bars and then of course the usual touristy shops.
The new house band Amy and Ludo were great and they work hard to entertain guests so that you can't fail to have a good time. A lot of guests do seem to retire early but we stayed up and made the most of the entertainment.
If you want a hotel which gives attention to detail and where you can relax and chill out in a beautiful setting then you can't go far wrong than staying here. We will keep returning to this hotel as in deed do many others.

Room Tip: Email the hotel direct at least a couple of weeks before you travel if you have any special requests such as higher floor.

Just back from another fantastic holiday, have booked to go back in February. Can't fault it in any way. The most relaxing place on earth!! The staff are friendly and smartly dressed. The food is very good, and the entertainment is enjoyable with some amazing shows about three nights a week. The resident pianist Enrico plays most nights in the piano bar, a duo called Magazine also play six nights a week in the large function room and bar.

Room Tip: Worth paying extra to have a seaview room. Also look at the noticeboard in the lifts and outside piano bar and lifts, with names and times of evening entertainment

We loved this hotel so much we have booked to go back again for a longer stay next Summer; which is a first for us! The rooms are spacious and very clean, the pool area is a delight, both restaurants served food of fantastic quality.
There were a lot of middle-aged German and British couples there when we stayed; many appeared to be return guests. The beautiful beach is a 1 minute walk from the pool and is very clean, (the waves were pretty large though, so don't expect to float around placidly on your lilo)!

I can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

First time to a RIU hotel. The service was good which was what i had expected. Dinner is in two sittings 6 or 8 pm and you sit at the same table. Dinner was very good although a bit of a trial as it was so busy, the themed restaurant was good and free you just need to book. Breakfast was ok pre cooked eggs, deep fried bacon, and often found all the mango and melon had gone. Only managed to get a table outside once during our two week stay.
The rooms were a bit smaller than i expected but were carpeted which made them quieter. We had a 3rd floor room with a sea view which was fantastic but all the rooms on our side never got any sun morning or afternoon so the balcony was not really used.
I also got up in the night to find a cockroach in the bathroom which gave me a fright i killed it..I told reception and luckily that was it.
The hotel is out on a limb with its sister hotel but if you go out of the hotel and turn left you can walk along the beach into town about 1.5 hours. Turn right and you can walk for miles. Not many beach bars a few beach kiosks. On the beach in front of the hotel two sun loungers and an umbrella cost 9 euros. There is a proper toilet block/cabin on the beach not one of these hi tech toilets that never work that the have down the south of the Island.
There were some nice features to the hotel, fruit in your room, they didn't seem to mind if you took some fruit away after breakfast, free wi fi only in reception. They have a restaurant for lunch which i liked or the pool bar will do a toastie there was a bar on the beach but i only had beer there otherwise thats your lot. A taxi into town is about 9 euro each way. Entertainment is on most nights on the veranda but difficult to see. Our weather was mixed some rain. Enjoyed the holiday and have booked another RIU hotel in Jandia for Christmas and new year.
