I can't really fault this hotel. The staff are superb, great service. The room was large and well furnished. Good location. The hotel was an easy 15 min walk to the main resort. The resort of Correlajo is delightful. Low rise white and blue buildings, small white coves all interlinked. You can walk to the harbour from the hotel practically all the way along the beach. Stop off at a "Surfers Bar" on the way. There is a bohemian feel about this resort almost a sense of 1960's mixed with the modern, the young and not so young blending so well, enjoying their holiday. Some great retro coffee shops and some fab restaurants too! Go for it! Value for money!

We arrived and because of a mix up we stayed at The Oasis Park one night which was great. On returning to the Arena the next day the manageress was lovely and very helpful and apologetic about the mix up. The rooms were large and cleaned every day. there were 2 pools, 1 heated and other sea water temp, both kept clean and a life guard in attendence all day.
The restaurant buffet was very good and varied with plenty of choice for every taste. We can only echo the comments of other visitors that all the staff were very friendly and helpful, every one of them.
We would definitely look at booking again for a future holiday.

On arrival ourselves and 6 other couples were told double booked and had to stay in sister hotel for 1 night, not a great start, and the double booking and moving people was a recurring theme through the week.We also spoke to others who arrived the week before and it happened to them and the receptionist told us when we were leaving that those arriving that day would have to go to other hotels for the whole of their stay. However if you book through Thomas Cook appeared that you got a room straight away. The sister hotel Aloe Club resort left a lot to be desired, damp room, only an outside bar with plastic glasses, food was really poor, entertainment in a 'street' with grids running down the middle. The Hotel Arena is lovely, the rooms are spotless and well looked after, the food was really good for 'All Inclusive' best we've had. The staff are all really friendly and helpful and can't do enough for you. Would I go back - No as I would be too worried that I would get the same double booking problem

Room Tip: Rooms on right side of pool get no sun Walk down to the beach and along the coast , its quicker to...

We arrived here an hour and half later than planned because it took that long to get our luggage of plane. They took it off plane and left it on trolley outside while they filled up the plane for return journey. Bad start, however, once we got to hotel everything was great. Check in was quick and receptionist very helpful and friendly. Rooms were large with seating area and also fridge, kettle and hair dryer which I personally have never come across abroad before. Air conditioning as well but we never used that because the weather wasnt great. Large balcony as well which unfortunately didnt get the sun but would be pleasant to sit on a warm night. Two pools, one freezing and one quite pleasant. Whole pool area kept spotless by friendly lifeguard. Pool bar open when restuarant closed and manned by alvaro. Great guy, very friendly and helpful. Nothing too much trouble. If he couldve made the wind go away I think he would have. Food was good quality and lots of variety. Staff again extremely friendly and helpful. Evening entertainment was ok and again mario in the bar was excellent. Ramona did great job of keepjng adults and children entertained day and night although there isnt a great deal for kids to do otherwise. Had a fantastic time and cant wait to return later in year. Hopefully weather will be better then!

Really good food, staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for you, the rooms were a good size.....one disappointment was the evening bar area, it was too hot to sit inside but there was no out door area to sit, this led to a large amount of people stood outside which was not great. There is a really nice shopping centre close by that also does a craft market on a couple of mornings and the beach isn't far. Would definitely stay there again.

Good large rooms are kept spotlessly clean by hardworking and pleasant domestic staff. The restaurant is very clean and well organised with a good and varied range of foods. While the fish was a bit disappointing (except for a troutlike one) and the beef, though beautifully flavoured was a bit fatty, these are quibbles and the range of salads and sweets, chicken, turkey and pork, fried stewed, roasted and curried was superb, and served with a good range of drinks including a pleasant red wine and a local beer. Burgers, sausage, pizza pasta and chips were always available at lunchtimes and a full English breakfast, with eggs, bacon, beans and English sausages was always available in addition to usual continental foods.

The entertainment was mixed, and the bar closed at 11pm meaning that the hotel was quiet at night . ( I liked this but others may not ).

The pools were ample in size, with one slightly heated so OK to swim in even in February.
and the pool barman was one of the nicest people I've met, despite a tendancy to offer to add a 'Bailies' to any soft drink, morning or afternoon. A real character.

Room Tip: Best are 300 to 310 South facing, and 311 to 321 facing east. all these have a pool view. 400+ are...
