Just returned from a weeks stay here the hotel you cannot fault food was lovely everyday something for everyone. Unfortunately weather was cloudy but still got plenty of colour. I hired a push bike which you can get from hotel or bike shop at the end if the road very easy to ride with being flat. Well worth it 8 to 12 euros
If you come out of hotel and walk to your right to the roundabout then left there is a small shopping centre if you carry on further there is the big shopping centre with plenty of shops, bars etc also a market that's there i think it was fri & monday reception will confirm.
Flag beach that is beautiful is 10 /15 min walk or theres a number 6 bus at end of the road catch it to Riu hotel and walk on that takes 5 mins.
I would say that this hotel is in the middle beach one way and shopping and bars the other.
This is a relaxing holiday not somewhere you want to go out partying every night.
I travelled alone and felt 100% safe wherever i went.

Read a lot of reviews about this place some good some not so good so was a little apprehensive but shouldn't have been as we had a great time, can't fault the place, warm, friendly staff, great food and good location away from the noisy strip but close enough to walk if you wanted a lively night.

We saw a good deal for these apartments and having read some good reviews, decided to take a chance and book. We were not disappointed. We noticed when booking that not all studios had a balcony so decided to pay extra for a one bedroom apartment and it was well worth the extra. We had a poolside apartment which was good size with nice clean decor and fittings etc all seemed fairly new. We were All Inclusive so didn't make use of the well equipped kitchen.

The poolside area was kept lovely and clean and there were always plenty of sunbeds so no problem there.

The food was varied and plentiful and was always being replenished right up to the end of the dining period. The hot and cold serveries were fitted with thermometers so you knew food was being served at correct temperature. Andreas the restaurant manager was really helpful and pleasant and a real asset to the hotel. We had no complaints with the drinks and found all the bar staff very pleasant.

The entertainment very much depended on audience participation therefore some nights better than others. The entertainment team worked really hard and didn't put pressure on anyone to take part. There was a good variety of nationalities and everyone mixed well during our stay.

We took plug in mosquito repellents so had no problem with them although we saw people who obviously did so would recommend you go prepared. There was a spray under the sink so we gave the apartment a good spray before we went out at night. The situation of our apartment meant that it was always fairly cool so think that helped.

What really makes this complex is the staff. Everyone without fail was very pleasant. We Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would have no hesitation in returning.

Stayed here with a group of mates for 1 week on the all inclusive. Not a great deal I could criticise the hotel on really...staff friendly and extremely helpful...special mention for Bob on reception who couldn't be more customer service friendly. clean facilities and pool area...entertainment cheesy but ok. Food was for the most part good especially evening meals. Lunch however was often a bit bland and much of the same but other than that, I would highly recommend the Playa Park

Just returned on 16/05/14 from another stay at playa park, and again we cannot fault the place. Room lovely and clean on arrival, pool area plenty of available sun loungers and parasols. Plenty of choice in the restaurant, food well cooked and hot. We only stayed for four nites as we have done in the past and we really enjoy our time there and think it's great value for money.... Just one tip take a decent Mozzi spray we were covered in bites by the end of our stay.

Thanks again playa park.

Stayed in this hotel self catering in April 2014 and we were pleasantly surprised by how big and clean it was. We booked it because it was cheap but we got plenty value for money in this hotel. The apartment we were given was on the ground floor facing the pool. It was an excellent room. Impressed by the size, we had plenty of room for just the two of us and we even got a lovely extended patio area with table and chairs which was bathed in the sun all day. No issues with the room at all, I've seen people moan about not having air-con but really, we didn't feel this was need at all. The room had large patio windows which you can open but block out with the curtains to keep cool if needed. The kitchen facilities were adequate enough, nothing special but did the job. We only used the catering facilities for breakfast and ate out every night. The hotel also offered all inclusive for guests and the buffet restaurant looked ok of what we saw and had themed food nights. The bar area looked ok too and sounded lively on an evening with a disco until 2300.

The pool area was lovely, very green, lots of palm trees and kept very clean and looked after all day by the life guards/maintenance guys. The 2 pools were excellent and even the kids pool looked entertaining if you had children that is. Also there was a Jacuzzi which we were impressed by.

The entertainment team which we didn't have much to do with were good and worked hard to get people joining in with the day time activities but left you alone if you were not interested.

As for the area, it is set a little bit back from the main resort area but this is ideal for us, we enjoy walking but is it only a 10-15 minute walk to the main strip which is filled with restaurants and bars and the usual shops. Then another 15 minutes walk down the strip leads you to the harbor area which is beautiful and also has lots of cocktail bars and restaurants facing the sea and set behind that is a main square area which seems to get lots of people there due to a live music stage surrounded by restaurants and bars.

If you do not want to venture that far and fancy an evening off there is a lovely little shopping area a couple minutes walk from the hotel which on some days has a craft market on but in the evening the little boutique shops stay open late and there's a few coffee shops which attract the locals and a few restaurants which are really nice and set outside shaded by umbrellas. It also offers live music on some nights.

The only one negative which I can say which would not put me off again is that there were a fair few mosquitoes around the hotel area and I did get bit a few times but you get mosquitoes everywhere when you go abroad but just take some spray and bite relief with you.

Overall, a really enjoyable stay at this hotel and would not hesitate to go back.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the ground floor facing the pool. The rooms had easy access and got the sun all da...
