I stayed at surfing colors for about 2 weeks in a apartment with seaview.

The apartment are looking good, freshly renovated with nice color set in the room. There is also a elevator to get you to 1st and 2nd floor. The small balcony allows to enjoy a beer at sunset or to get a preview of the surfing condition of the day with a good view on the surfing spot near the windmill.

I had two single beds in the room which were ok. A bit too soft for me bit apparently you can remove some part of the bed to make it more convenient. The small kitchen worked well with air circulation to avoid all the room to smell whatever you cook. As usual just the minimum cooking material but you can always buy some in the nearest supermarket (200m from the hotel).

The restroom worked well, always enough water and hot water for the shower.

In addition, the cleaning and the staff are particularly efficient. Young staff and always at diposal to help you during your holidays.

Surf/car/bike rental available at reception desk.

Thank you for this incredible review, Giles. We are so glad that you have had an amazing experience with us and your kind words really do mean a lot to us.

Our apartments are quite modern and renovated and we do try to make everyone feel at home and keep the place tidy and comofrtable for our guests.

Also it is true that we do have plenty of activities and our reception team can always advise you for the best things to do and visit.

Kind regards from the Surfing Colors team and we are looking forward to seeing you back here.

Thank you so much for this amazing comment, Jette. We are glad that you have enjoyed your Fuerteventura holiday and we hope we did have some positive contribution.

It is often mentioned that our staff are very friendly and have the ability to feel our guests welcomed and at home, our location also is another plus of the hotel as we are located closeby to all the main places of Corralejo.

These days we are quite improved and our fans are quite powerful, and if needed we can also provide extra ones free of charge. Also our pool area is very relaxad and renovated so now you could relax the whole day in our comfortable sunbeds with a coctail in hand from the poolbar.

We are looking forward to seeing you soon, kind regards from the Surfing Colors team.

First impressions are the hotel looks a bit ramshackle if approaching from the main road towards the harbour as there is a large building still waiting to be finished with a massive hole in the ground at the front, but first impressions can be deceiving and having already looked at the street view on Google it wasn't a surprise. The location is good for walking to and from town centre (about a 10 minute stroll), however, you have to walk through a residential area which is quite dark in places.

The reception area is immaculate with marble floor and walls and friendly helpful staff. Check in was painless and we were soon on our way up to the second floor in the lift along with two room keys and a remote control for the TV which is free but has a deposit of 20 euro.

The room itself was in good condition, newly decorated with comfortable beds and a balcony overlooking the sea (as long as you looked to the right and ignored the large hole in the ground). The fridge contained a bottle of water which was a nice touch but had been switched off which was a shame as the freezer compartment had defrosted and filled the bottom of the fridge and the floor in front with water. Our only complaint about the room was the lack of a kettle but there were saucepans cups etc. and a microwave oven so all was not lost. The flat-screen TV was good and if you fiddled with the controls you could get English sound on some programmes.

Again, the bathroom was all new and had a shower attachment over the bath, a toilet and sink. The hot water in the en-suite bathroom initially was quite brown but cleared when the taps were left running for a while.

The room was cleaned and towels replaced 4 times a week which was great and more frequently than some upmarket places we've stayed at.

To the left, the balcony overlooks the swimming pool area which again was tidy as well as quiet. We enjoyed the pool area with chill out tunes playing at just the right volume it was relaxing, the main pool was warm, clean and comfortable the free sunbeds are fixed in the reclined position so you can't sit upright with a back rest but no real problem.

The negatives are the noise from other guests and doors banging, the small size of some of the hand towels (more like flannels) and no seats/tables on the balcony. We knew the room wasn't air-conditioned but leaving the balcony door open was fine and secure unless Spiderman was about to burgle us.

Free WiFi is available at reception which extended to the seating by the pool and also there is a PC with Internet access (pay to use). There is also a vending machine for crisps, chocolate bars and snacks. The room also had WiFi available but this was not free.

Overall, this hotel is great value for money and I'd definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Second floor with a higher number on the left hand side have the best views.

Hi Pete, thank you for taking the opportunity to review our hotel, it really does mean a lot to us.

It is true that our hotel is located on a quite a convinience place, closeby pretty much to everything and nowadays the bulding next to us has finished with the construction so we the view is complete! Also, our area and Fuerteventura in general is quite a safe place and we always like to reassure our guests safety with the 24 hour reception service which would be able to sort out any problems. In general, we are really pleased to hear that you have enjoyed our hotel.

Recently we have improved a lot our apartments so there is free WiFi everywhere in the hotel, chairs on the balconies, quite powerful fans which are sufficient to keep you cool in the Fuerteventura climate. (no sign of Spiderman but we are pretty sure that after all our improvements he would like to be our guest too).

Kind regards from the Surfing Colors Team and we are looking forward to another visit from you, Pete

An amazing place for very low rate. We stayed for 4 nights and payed 140 EUR total for excellent room. This place is really a recommendation. We liked a lot. We went as a couple (end of 30 both).

We enjoyed especially the pool area and the peacefull, calm atmosphere there. Everything is in very good shape / new. Pool area is very spacious and well cared-for. Durring the day they play some very soft, relaxing music beside. Not noisy, no worry. If you looking for recreation and pool: Go there !. Sunny places all day long. No trouble.

Bulding is new. Apartment is new. Furniture is new. Everything very clean. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Cleaners are doing a very good job. I expect this apartment complex still in a couple of years as a very well cared-for accomodation.

Reception is 24h, Internet Wifi for free in this area. There is also a computer desk if you have nothing with you.

Location is also very good. Super-close to city center and harbour area. You can walk 5-10 minutes. Good choices of supermarkets, bakeries and restaurants and bars in the nearest surrounding.

If you got the choice, take a room towards the pool. View is nicer an also more calm. If you book a sea view apartment, make sure you will get one at the edge of the building. There are only 10 rooms with a real sea view. At the edge of the building behind the outer stairwell. We had one in front of it. The sea-view there was very very poor and limited :-). Its ok to call it a sea view from the basic regularity, yes, ok, but honestly: you shouldnt :-). Anyway, really just a very very small minus, and in the end no problem.

Thank you surfing colors, we loved our stay and will definitely come back if were are on Fuerteventura again. Cheers.

A friend and I booked a last minute holiday to Corralejo and chose to risk booking the brand newly-opened Surfing Colors apartments (despite there being no reviews available at the time) - it was probably the best risk I have ever taken!

We arrived just before midnight but check-in was quick and friendly. Hotel was only partly open but the room was fully finished to a good standard - kitchenette was well equipped (fridge, hob, microwave and enough utensils/crockery/cutlery for 2 people). Hotel was pretty quiet and we slept well, even though we had a room with city view and so there is some noise from the neighbourhood.

Swimming pool area has plenty of sun beds and 2 pools (a splash pool for kids and a good-sized pool for adults). It gets plenty of sun throughout the day and was never crowded.

An excellent base for exploring Corralejo and Fuerteventura - bus station 2 mins up the road, HiperDino supermarket 1 min walk, 5 min walk to the beaches and a 10 min walk to the strip. Tip: If you book airport transfers or day excursions with pick-up/drop-off then book for Bristol Playa Hotel (1 min walk) as Surfing Colors is not known by many companies yet.

Overall, fantastic value for money and a really enjoyable stay - we would definitely return! I wish the owners every success for the future as the apartments grow.

I was on a holiday on my own for the first time and still had plenty of activities I could engage myself into. You can never go wrong when visiting the one of the best dving and surfing island in Europe :) The hotel isa walking distance to all local attractions but you can also take cheap bus trip just 3 min away from hotel if you want to see more of Fuerteventura.

Yes the bus station is behind us, just 1 minute walking.
We recommend to hire a car, to see the best places of Fuerteventura. But ths bus and the bycicle are a good option too!!
The cost of the bus is between 3 & 5 euros.

I booked this hostal last minute, for finding it to be the cheapest on booking.com on north shore, Fuerteventura. it has recently been renovated, and they told me i was guest number ten to arrive, ever :) the reception was really nice, they were enthusiastic for me to be there it seems. Lobby had just had tiling done and they were finishing this off. For 288 euro i got a double room to myself, with a balcony overlooking a really nice pool and i could see the ocean 50 meters away as well. (it was cheaper if i took street view, but hey.. you need ocean view on your holiday) It had a small kitchen, all brand new utilities (even still had cardboard inside the microwave :D) - decorations were cool spanish surf stile, loved the paintings on the wall.
Bathroom was alright as well, all towels and sheets were brand new also, though seems the water turns yellow everywhere on the island so nothing the hotel could have done there. At night it was quiet, had flat screen tv in the room, with a LOT of spanish channels.. and also music channels when youre done watching spanish synchronized top gear and new girl.
They clean the room 4 times a week, with fresh towels and all.

Its a short walk from the lively old town and harbor, beach maybe 10 minutes walk - or if you go to the dunes i recommend bike or car.. although bike may give you headwind in a sandstorm going back in the afternoon.

Only thing i missed a bit was wifi - but they do have that in all coffee shops and bars - or you can get a data-sim card with pay-as-you-go top up to put in your dongle for 3g internet down at the vodaphone shop on the main street. My guess is they will add this soon though.

I highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again if i go to Fuerteventura.

Room Tip: theres really no traffic to be heard, i liked the pool side with the balcony so i could open at nigh...
