“Good value family holiday”
Reviewed 30 June 2013 via mobile

Returned on 22 june following 14 nights at Oasis Village. This was our 2nd stay in space of 8 months and we were not disappointed! I contacted hotel to request same room we had before and this request was granted. Staff at hotel are amazing all work very hard and are pleasant into the bargain. Food was good, we always found something to eat and was always well cooked and warm. Even our son who is vegetarian and very selective what he eats never went hungry! Rooms are large with plenty storage space and very clean. Beds/towels were changed several times during our stay. Pools are lovely with plenty sunbeds. Overall we had fab holiday, cant fault hotel or staff. My only complaint is nothing to do with the hotel but the amount of parents who have poorly behaved children and allow them to run around pestering other people while they sit back and relax. Would recommend Oasis for good value family holiday, but if you are a couple wanting peace and quiet it may not be for you.

Just returned from 11 nights at the oasis with 2 adults & 2 children 7 & 3
And I must say I was a little apprensive on what to expect after reading the mixed reviews.
Well first impressions were good, clean apartment (basic) but a good base as your away to be out in the sun not in your room! We had a ground floor room with large terrace D108
We were in the D block which was close to the pool but wasn't too close for the noise, there are 2 large pools the top one being where the entertainment staff spent the days playing music, games, bingo, quiz,s etc if you don't like this sort of thing the bottom pool is a lot quieter but to be honest it broke the day up of sunbathing as they interacted with the kids.
There is also a kids club where you leave them to play for a couple of hours 2 or 3 times a day if you wanted them too ( although a lil tip if you don't book with Thomas cook you have to pay for this as we booked our hol all separate and was asked to pay €5 a session or €30 a week which I didn't pay as I thought its wrong to charge even though I hadn't booked through the tour operator.
The food..... Well like I have put in the title it is 3star not 5 star so you can't expect la a carte menu, it was ok that's the only gripe with the hotel but to be fair you always found something to eat so you can survive. We ate out a couple of times not because of the food but for change of scenery and there's some nice foods places in town about 10/15 ,in walk with loads of shops, restaurants etc.... The slow boat Chinese buffet is a must to try!!!!!
Lastly the entertainment staff Molly, Danny, Pete, Natalie, Malky make that place I think, they work really hard to make your hol enjoyable... Yeah the entertainment isn't the westend productions but they always try to get you involved and are always happy and upbeat and work really hard and get chucked in the pools constantly which must drive them crazy.
Overall we would defo return as its a great family fun holiday clean and tidy, and already looking to return next year
Don't listen to the negative reviews, if you want 5* you have to pay for it

Room Tip: If you book your hol separate the kids club isn't included... I think ground floor are better t...

Myself, my husband and our 2 children stayed here for 1 week in June 2013.

Rooms: We had a ground floor apartment A118 which had a lovely spacious outdoor terrace/seating area. The apartment was clean and spacious and did the job of being a base and somewhere to sleep and shower. The room was equipped with a fridge and kettle.

Food: The food selection was always good. At breakfast there was hot food, cereals, fruit, yogurts, toast etc. Help yourself hot drinks machines, fruit juice, water machines.

Lunchtime/Evening meal: Again there was always a good selection of hot/cold food including salads, bread rolls, meats etc.Help yourself fizzy drinks, fruit juices, water, beer, wine

Drinks: The drinks were ok and came in little plastic cups which during the day wasn't a problem but at nightime the ques at the bar were quite long due to such small cups and drinks not lasting very long and the fact there was a 2 drink per person rule.... A very strange system which clearly doesn't work.

Pool Areas: Plenty of sunbeds. The pools were nice although some of the tiles were missing/broken in various places in the pool and around the pool areas.. The pool area floor wasn't the cleanist and in our week stay we only saw the floor areas being cleaned once.

Entertainment Team: They all worked so hard and did a brilliant job of keeping the guests entertained during the day and the evening.

Kids Club Staff: The staff at the kids club were FANTASTIC! The kids club runs 6 days a week 10am til 12noon. 2pm til 4pm then 4.30 til 6pm. My children thoroughly enjoyed going to the kids club and were always happy to go and happy when they left. The staff really are amazing and full of enthusiasm.

Evening Entertainment: Kids entertainment was first followed by bingo, lucky 13 then a show which involved singing, dancing etc by the day time entertainment team. On the Monday night of our stay outside entertiament came in which was 'Michael The reggae man' He was FANTASTIC! He got the guests involved and sang brilliant well known songs! Worth a watch.

The hotel staff all seemed pleasant enough and the hotel itself was lovely in a lovely location.

On our last day we had to vacate our room by 12noon and wasn't being picked up until 16.40, we wanted to pay to keep our room on but were told no. There are 2 shower rooms available which are down the corridor from the hotel shop, not the cleaninst of rooms but ok to freshen up and get changed.

We visited flag beach one day which was lovely, I would recommend a visit there. We used the sunbeds there at a cost of 3euros per sunbed and 3euros per umberella.

Overall a lovely hotel and brilliant for kids! Highly recommended by myself as a mum and by us as a family.

Just returned from Oasis village had a great holiday this is our second visit to this hotel and had a great time both times. The staff are great with great patience when working as many hours as they do. The only thing I think could be better is that the swimming pools were warmer!!!!! The area around is good and would recommend a bus ride on a No:6 to the sand dunes and then a lovely long walk back along the coast line stopping at all the beachside bars. Well done to all the hard working staff you made our holiday a pleasure x

Room Tip: depending on if you have children. we have on both oacassions had a second floor apart and that was...

We have just returned from the Oasis Village after an 11 night stay and really enjoyed our time there. We are a party of 2 adults and 2 children (5 and 2). The complex was clean enough, the staff were friendly and helpful. We went during school term time so it was pretty quiet which was great, we had a choice of where we wanted to sunbathe and there were plenty of sunloungers to spare. We spent most of our time around the lower pool which was a bit quieter than the main large pool, the pool is salt water, it is pretty deep even at the shallow end but there are large staggered steps which the children can use to get in and out.

The food was good, there was plenty of choice for everyone. There was the main restaurant and also the smaller snack bar at lunchtimes which was good for a change and which you could also get your drinks from.

We didn't book with Thomas Cook but the Thomas Cook reps were fab. They were at it from early morning until late at night, they really did work hard to ensure everyone was entertained and had a good holiday. From having a chat by the pool to running around with the kids, to bingo, to putting on a show, they really did work hard and were all really friendly and nice.

Just to note that there are no hairdryers in the rooms, I read someone mention one on here so didn't take one but you can hire one as my sister did. I would definitely ask for a top floor apartment rather than a ground floor as it did get quite noisy when the people upstairs were walking around but not enough to spoil the holiday.

The kids club was brilliant but just be warned that if you don't book with Thomas Cook you get charged 5 euro's per session. My 5 year old loved it but it was a shame my 2 year old was 2 months too young to attend.

We flew back Wednesday morning so were picked up at 7.30am which is at the same time as the restaurant opens so unable to get breakfast the Hotel made each of us a packed lunch to take with us to the airpor which I thought was a really nice gesture.

We had a few nights out on the Strip just for a change and Flix was a brilliant bar, the kids are welcome and they do neon face paint and glow up tattoos which the kids loved.

This for us was a cheap late deal to join family who had already booked and we really enjoyed our time here. I don't think we would go back but only because I think the world is too big a place to visit the same place twice :-)

Room Tip: There are 3 horseshoe shaped blocks, we were in B which was the furthest away from the pools and the...

Returned last week from a 2 week holiday at this hotel with my partner.
Nice hotel complex, staff were polite, efficient and friendly.
Our rooms were good with a fridge and a kettle and cups provided. We had a sunny balcony with a table and chairs.
Please do not take notice of the comments about poor food at this hotel. We had no complaints at all. It was well cooked and tasty with as much choice as you could reasonably expect. Remember this is a three star hotel-not 5 star with fine dining!
There were Mexican,Indian, Chinese and Canaria themed menu nights whilst we were there which were very good.
The reception lady even provided translation for me when i couldn't understand the instructions on medication i needed to purchase whilst we were there..
The Thomas Cook reps-Nathan and Gino were great and even though we went as a couple, we could see that the entertainment staff for the children worked their socks off.
We had no problems with noise. Our rooms were away from the entertainment hall and during the day we did not find the noise around the pool area excessive at all.
The only sllght disappointment was that at times there was a lack of hot water, especially late in the evening.
The complex could do with a little paintwork freshening in places and it would have been helpful to have handrails on one side of the steps to the upper rooms, but otherwise everything was fine.
All in all we had a very good holiday and would have no problem recommending this hotel both to couples and especially for families with younger children who will be kept well occupied by the entertainment team.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the road have no noise from the entertainment hall.
