“Hotel as described, kids club and entertainment teams lifted the place!”
Reviewed 30 July 2013 via mobile

The resort
Corralejo surprised me by being as busy, and was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the place and my wife. Was delighted by the different and quality of the shops differing from other resorts,

The Food
The food was edible breakfasts was the usual fare, 2 toasting machines bacon and sausage rotated on alternative days, all perfectly edible. The lunches and dinners was the usual 3 star quality food never restaurant quality but never went hungry either. Canadian potatoes and mojo sauce was a highlight, but Angel delight, a blomonge, light sponge cake every night poor.
Drinks during the day no problems but the bar at night was prone to big queues until after 9 when there was 2 serving in it but they only had a small selection of glasses then they moved onto the plastic glasses.

The Hotel
1st impressions brilliant as we arrived late on Saturday night and when we checked in the receptionist gave us tokens to take to the restaurant as it was closed and they let us in at 10pm to salad and cuts of cold meats 1st hotel where they have did this for us. Room itself was fine large and clean, but had to hire a fan as it held the heat. And it was only a minibar fridge not a fridge freezer. Started to wonder if the room was going to be cleaned and eventually it did and the towel changes came thick and fast and the rooms were cleaned to a high standard.

Entertainment team
The entertainment team tried to engage the whole hotel at night and during the day at the top pool and done a fantastic job, up there with the best we've seen of in-house entertainment team. The kids club were fantastic and kept the kids involved at several sessions during the day so much that the kids would rather hang about with them than us! Kids came back with a dizzy and shades pack each! Absolutely brilliant and I am still getting Bungalowed from the kids"My hands are high, my feet are low and this is how we bungalow".

We also got photos taken by an in-house photographer and paid 48€ for 10 quality photos from the large selection she had taken for us.

There is a fair size of hiperdino right across the road in the El Campanero shopping centre.

Overall I would not be disappointed to return to the Oasis Village, and will definitely return to Corralejo! Great holiday

We stayed here for a week at the end of June, our 4th visit and as usual the hotel was excellent.
Huge selection of foods at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Staff are so polite and helpful. You couldn't ask for a better hotel to stay Should definitely be upgraded to a 4*.Rooms are cleaned everyday and its a short walk to the town centre. Olivia Beach is a 20 min walk which is beautiful but there are plenty of small bays to sunbathe nearer to the hotel. Lovely saltwater swimming pools at hotel which are very clean. You just need a gym! In the past we were able to use the Dunas gym opposite but this year it was being refurbished, but not a problem.Brilliant time, see you next year.

The hotel provides an adequate holiday experience for most of the guests, many of whom are families.
The swimming pools are saltwater and understandably get a little grubby by the end of the day. Don't book this hotel for the food offer as the selection is limited and fairly tasteless. Unfortunately the hotel are slow are replenishing the food once it runs out meaning if you take lunch after 2pm or dinner after 8.15pm you're likely to miss out. The food really is poor.
The rooms are large but fairly plain, there's no AC and there wasn't a kettle in my room.
On a positive the entertainment was outstanding and apparently one of the main reasons guests return to the hotel. It's unusual to find a hotel entertainment team who can both sing and dance as well as talk to the customers and have fun in the daytime. All four were approachable and friendly.
The queues for the bar in the evening venue are similar to what you would expect at Alton Towers on a bank holiday. See photo. (I bought a sneaky €3 bottle of red from the supermarket opposite and had that instead, much better than the wine from the dispenser.)

To summarise, come for the entertainment but if you want something decent to eat go for a walk into town.

I stayed at this hotel with my husband and two daughters aged 8 and 4; from 26 June to 10 July. First of all can I just reiterate to everyone that this is a 3 star hotel!!!! This means you are not gonna have a choice of four restaurants and you can't choose scented pillows at night, and no one is going to bring your drinks to you. That's right this is a 3 star! Food: after 14 nights it was a bit monotonous but we all managed to eat three times a day. Food was warm and we'll cooked. There was minor queuing but not ridiculous waiting times. Waiters were friendly and Juanjo was amazing! Rooms: basic but very spacious and cleaned everyday! How many people actually sit in their rooms allday when their on holiday anyway? Entertainment: this is what made our holiday. These four were very hard working Pete, Danny,Mollie and Nat were AMAZING! We got involved with almost every activity, and made lots of friends in the process. The Thomas Cook team worked so blinking hard and I can assure you this is the perfect holiday for fidgty husbands who want a game of darts, killer pool, a game of footie or even a dabble with a bingo dabber! Honestly some people say that this is Butlins in the sun, but hey what's the matter with a Butlins holiday! Would I visit this resort again? Probably not, but I would definitely go where the reps are next year! Good job Thomas Cook. Also a big shout out to the kids reps who always get forgotten about. All of them are Nanny Poppins in disguise! And last but not least Rachel the swim coach - absolutely amazing at her job. A small fee of 30 euros gets your child 5 half hour swim lessons. And my four year old swam (very briefly) without armbands. Amazing job Rachel! All the best for the rest of the season Teresa, Lee, Sophie and Lucy x x x

All inclusive located away from the volcanic beach. Family of 3 including 11 year old daughter, we paid £1050 for a week out here from 8th July 2013.Flew out of Newcastle which was a saving of £800 over Glasgow departure with Thomas Cook.
First thing ,weather was very hot and our poolside room had no through draught and the omission of air conditioning made it roasting and airless in the room.we had to leave the door open overnight , big mistake as my partner spotted a mouse running out from under the bed, jumped up and down on the hard bed making it softer to sleep on .The hotel cats were nowhere to be seen.We hired 2 fans at € 10 each for the week plus refundable deposit of € 22 plus safe rented at € 2 per night plus deposit.
Apartment decor was dated , bathroom shower was powerful and hot in the evening ,cool in the morning, bathroom door has water damage caused by the over splashing shower water flooding the floor. We killed at least 8 cockroaches of varying sizes which came up the drains in the bathroom as there is no window it lacks air and steams up quickly, extractor fan wasn't working.
Food,..breakfast was average with good selection of cereals etc....lunch was always fresh and the best meal of the day....dinner is an eat out experience ,lots of great steakhouses out there and some amazing fish restaurants by the harbour.
In summary,a great value place to chill and poolside is relaxing with the entertainment team hard working , music is loud at times but the pool bar is a relaxing open air alternative.Let downs were plastic cups at that bar and all inc finishes at 2300 while the evening entertainment still on, rooms not cleaned often enough, ( 3 times , one sheet change)...
Should you go here, yes it's 3 star good value,if you expect more, pay up , we were accepting of what we got and for this price was good economy style value.Close to water park and the 'strip'where shops are located.

Room Tip: Stay away from poolside as no through air makes room too hot with no air con.

Dear Sir / Madam,

We are very sorry for the inconvenience caused and can assure you that we have made it our priority to avoid this happening again in the future.
Anyway I would like to ask you the apartment number and your arrival date in order to investigate what's happened with the extractor fan in the bathroom and the cockroaches. Although we are on an island, with the summer heat and gardens surrounded, so many cockroaches is not normal...

We thank you immensely for your sincere comment, as this does help us greatly to be able to give an ongoing improvement of quality and service to our guests.

Me and my partner aged 19 and 20 stayed here last year and decided to return again this year (3-17 of July).

Room- We were In D215, top floor. The rooms are very spacious and constantly kept clean. This also applied with the cleaning of towels. We too left things around and they were not touched by the maids which is good to know.

Food- The breakfast is the nicest I have had from a 3 star hotel. The food is always fresh and hot and there is always something nice to eat. I am a very fussy eater but always found something I enjoyed. The food varied from pasta, chips, different meats, spag Bol, lasagne, fresh salads to name a few.

Drink- it changed from 2 drink pp to 4 pp which was handy! Lager and spirits are nice and strong! Pop consists of 7up, Pepsi, fanta etc. also had coffees, hot chocolate and cocktails.

Location- corralejo is a beautiful place. The hotel is only a ten minute walk into town, where there are plenty of shops and places to eat. My favourite were the prince of Wales, retro bar and finally the Aberdeen steak house.

Trips- this year we went to the waterpark, which is literally two mins from hotel. Which was once again fab! We also went to jandia ( the seventh best beach in the world) this was a fab day out and we loved it!

Staff- staff at reception are friendly and always there to help. The bar staff and dinner staff are fantastic and literally work their socks off!

Entertainment- the entertainment team; Danny, Pete, Mollie and Nat are AMAZING! I have no children and me and my partner got involved in the activities! They start at ten am and work through to 11pm!! They are so hard working and a credit to Thomas Cook! Well done guys :) The day entertainment ranges from water polo, killer pool and darts, volleyball, football, tennis to name a few. The night entertainment starts at 8-9 for the kids, which we missed. Then at 9pm was the quiz and bingo followed by lucky 13. Then finally at 10pm was the main show which ranges from them providing shows, to local acts to he's involving the guests!

All in all had a fabulous time once again, especially as it was my second time around I didn't know if it would live up to the first time but it certainly did!

Any questions feel free to ask! :)
