“Stayed at Easter 2013”

Had a fab time at Oasis Village.........i would consider it a 'no-frills' place to stay. Rooms were decent, as was the food however a better toaster would reduce the queue at breakfast time. Will revisit in the future, The entertainments team were amazing and worked tirelessly to keep the kids entertained.......double their wages!!!

Got back a couple of hours ago from this hotel and, apart from the weather on certain days, we enjoyed it very much. We stayed 7 nights from the 13th Feb to 20th, all-inclusive.
We requested a poolview room but ended up with an apartment in block C. The room itself was spotlessly clean, had it's own kitchen section with all crockery and cutlery, fridge, toaster and kettle. The bedroom was separate from the living area and both areas had doors onto the balcony/terrace. There was also plenty storage space. The safe was 26e to hire for the week with 10e return. The TV didn't work, there was no signal so we reported it to reception, twice. It was repaired by the Saturday, just in time for the awful rain and wind that day, and the next but we only had one British channel, BBC world news although there were a couple of kids channels, Paramount, CBS reality and CBS drama.
The pool areas have plenty sunbeds so no mad rush to get one. The upper pool was larger than the lower, it was unheated with the lower one heated. Near the upper pool there was the poolside bar and terrace with a snack bar alongside. You can get towels for the pool (yellow) but room towels (blue) are not to be taken out the rooms. The entertainment hall in the evening was large enough with plenty seats and also an outside terrace, the drinks were of a decent quality compared to what some A.I. hotels offer.
We were a bit apprehensive about the quality of the food served up going by previous reviews but we never had one bad meal throughout our stay. There was the usual breakfast buffets with full fry-up, croissants, toast, yoghurts and cereal. Lunch choices were slightly limited but there was always something to choose including a decent salad choice and cold meats and cheeses. The evening offerings were particularly good with a reasonable choice on offer, beef stew, chicken dishes including curry, various veg and some nice soups. They do theme nights also, the Canarian food was nice as was the Italian. All drinks in the restaurant are self-service but it's bar service in the entertainment hall and on the poolside terrace bar. The quality of entertainment isn't the greatest but the reps do a tough job trying to entertain the guests. We also found all the staff from barstaff/restaurant and room maids very polite and reception very approachable and helpful if needed.
There was one thing though, the tiles on some of the steps going into the pools were cracked and broken, this could be an accident waiting to happen, particularly with over-excited kids jumping in and out all the time, the maintenance really need to get it sorted.
The hotel is 3*, I've stayed in many 3*/4* A.I. hotels these last few years throughout Spain, Majorca and all of the Canaries and we were really pleased with this hotel, better than some 4* we've stayed in. Although it's not the best we've ever been to it certainly isn't anywhere near the worst and it's probably one of the best value holidays we've ever booked, half the price we paid for a week in Tenerife in March last year. We booked through Alpharooms and got a great deal.
Round one side (reception side) there are 4 blocks, block A and D are closest to the pool, B and C are up quite a steep incline so something to think of when booking if you have walking difficulties. There are rooms over the other side from the upper pool available also.
All in all we were very happy with our choice of hotel and also that it was only a 10-15 min stroll to the main nightlife in the area, if we ever decided to return to Fuerteventura, we wouldn't hesitate in booking here again.

Room Tip: Ask for poolside if you have walking difficulties.

flight was ok,got to agree no leg room if your over 5ft 8 lol,we also red below about waiting time at airport, but we was ok got cases on str8 away and was off no messing, but bus was over crowded , got to hotel and check in was speedy and was in room within 30 mins(3 buses loads arrived same time as well)hotel is very clean,,so here goes
1 - you wont get a better 3 star hotel anyway on the island, - if people complain there just fussy or expect 2 much
2 - staff very polite if your polite to them
3 - all inclusive means all inclusive, wifi free if in lobby only charge if want it in your room, you pay for tv,but so what, your on hol,no many watch it anyway, again people expect too much when paying hardly nothing
4 - thomas cook reps - people complain about them saying they cant sing, hay got to agree but did it spolit the evening eeerrrrr no as they made a lot of mistakes but it adds more fun and laughter, there also brill with kids
5 - people have complained about tiles missing in pool, again there is a few missing and yes could do with been repaired, but did it affect out hol or stop us going into pool eeeeerrrrrr no,so people stop complaining
6 - beer was passable, but was too gassy for such small cups, and we didn't rate the free cocktails list - think this does need improving

overall we love this place we love the staff we loved the food and Thomas cook reps are great
didn't wanna leave, but we will be back

people who complain just want 5 star hotel at 2 star prices and it aint gonna happen cause this hotel comes up cheaper than a lot of self catering hols in the area,so to us it still worth booking even if you eat out all the time

Just come back from a brilliant holiday in oasis village. Had a very spacious room on the ground floor right beside the pool, check in was in minutes and very smooth. Loved the location correlejo is a great resort, much nicer than caleta de fuste. Would recommend a walk down to the marina for a lovely view cordon blue a good place to try.food at the hotel was plentiful loads to choose from on all 3 meals.Hotel itself was spotless rooms cleaned regularly they even left a knife for a birthday cake i had bought for my boyfriend, nice touch. No complaints about the drinks cocktails were included too up til 11pm.Overall lovely hotel only gripe would be the naff music in the restaurant but hey ho cant be perfect! Must mention the sunflower bar on the main street small but quirky and very modern.

Firstly I can't review the hotel without mentioning the Thomas Cook flight and transfer, the seats on the planes doing this crossing are ridiculous and only suitable for midgets as there is no leg room and I spent the entire flight in agony with my knees jammed into the back of the seat in front of me and trying to eat my in flight meal with no elbow room was virtually impossible. As if that was not bad enough when we arrived and were directed to our coach for transfer we had to wait 75 mins for the Manchester flight to arrive and the people to get their bags before joining us to transfer to the hotel, not a good start after such a bad flight.
Once at the hotel like many people have mentioned there was only one grumpy member of staff on reception to book us in and when we asked to rent a safe( 16 euros + 10 euro deposit) we were told we would have to come back when there wasn't a queue, this is something that took 45 seconds when we did go back later!
We arrived at our room and headed straight to the fridge to get a drink of water as we were told by the rep not to drink the tap water and the fridge was empty so no problem my wife said and off she went to the bar to get a couple of bottles of water only to be told that there was a charge of 1.50 euros even though we were allegedly "all inclusive" she could however have any carbonated soft drink free of charge or pour herself some still water from a jug which was sat on the end of the bar since god knows when or where it was from.
She declined and walked to the local supermarket and bought 6 litres for just over 2 euro so it's not as though is an expensive commodity so why is it not AI?
There are quite a few things that are not AI and really should be like the TV, room fans as there is no A/C, pool towels and this day and age the wifi. (towels 5 euro ea and 10 deposit, wifi 4 euro a day or 15 euros a week)
The alcohol is of very poor quality which we had read in other reviews so we came prepared to go out in the evenings for a drink which was the best decision we made although it wasn't cheap it was well worth it but on a positive note the food was very good despite earlier reviews to the contrary as I am a fussy eater but enjoyed every meal as there was a good selection and it was pretty warm considering it is mass catering and the pool bar (Enrique) and the restaurant staff are very friendly and efficient and if you smile and say thank you they are very responsive, try it.
There are plenty of sunbeds and the pool area and grounds are very well maintained but are getting tired so need some money spending on them in some areas as do the rooms as you can only make something look like new if its ok to start with.
The hotel occupancy was around 35% during our stay so we were sure we would be ok to check out a few hours later than 12pm which we were but it did cost 30 euros so be prepared if your flight is a late one to pay this if you wish to keep your room.
This hotel is fine for full board but not AI and it should either drop the AI or increase it's prices and stop charging extra for things that should be AI and start serving drinkable alcohol in real glasses and not plastic thimbles which are acceptable around the pool area but not in the function room in the evening.
Would I go back there, well yes as it performs perfectly well as a hotel and has everything you need as a base to explore Correlajo but this is not the place to go if you have no intention of spending once you get there as the "extras" list is not exhaustive.....

We booked this as a last minute Air Tours all inclusive deal through Co-op Travel with no particular expectations. The accommodation was described as "an apartment" which meant that there was a bedroom, bathroom, sitting room with a kettle and cups, plus a balcony which overlooked the central area with swimming pools and a view across to the main buildings. The furnishing was basic but in good condition.

The maid service was five days a week which included one change of towels but didn't extend as far as replacing the tiny soap tablet when it became wafer-thin.

There was neither heating nor air conditioning, so for a January break it was a bit cool in the evening. Luckily we found blankets in the wardrobe to put on the pushed-together single beds which were made up with just a sheet and bedspread.

The TV service was disappointing - if you wanted more than an American Business News channel, cartoons and non-English channels you had to pay several euros a day for the privilege. Similarly, there was free WiFi available in reception from 08:30 till 12:00, outside of those hours, and for access beyond reception guess what - a charge of several more euros a day. Alternatively you can go offsite to the shopping centre where both the supermarket and at least one bar have Free WiFi.

The buffet style catering was generally varied, good in quality and appropriate temperature. The one disappointment was the non-availability of any glasses larger than large wine glass size. Other "all in" packages I've been on have had quarter and half litre beer glasses. Some people bought their own half pint beer glasses and proper-sized mugs for tea & coffee.

Outside the main bar there is a covered outdoor area with tables. As non-smokers it was very disappointing that we could not use this area without being forced to share the smoke of tobacco addicts. No matter how carefully you identify a smoke free area you could guarantee that within minutes a neighbouring table would all light up; or someone would come out of the bar to to abuse their lungs standing right next to your table.

The grounds were very clean and well maintained - every morning when we got up staff were already out cleaning the pools and hosing down the area. Signage to attractions was not so good - we never found the sauna or fitness room.

Some of the rooms are in blocks surrounding and overlooking the central pool area; the rest are in blocks behind.

Across the road from the complex there is a shopping centre. alternatively, without crossing the road there is an "English shop" offering UK-type food and other goods.
The walk into the old town was half uphill then half downhill - unless you manage to find the route through the residential area behind the nearby shops and along the beach - all practically on the level but sandy in places.

There is an entertainment team for those who like poolside quizzes and bingo and karaoke for the deaf! We could still hear it from our apartment several hundred metres away!

Overall Oasis village offers good value, particularly if it's offering what you want all on site. We enjoyed the midwinter all inclusive break despite the odd niggle.

MOSQUITOES ARE ACTIVE, EVEN IN JANUARY SO BE PREPARED !

Room Tip: Some rooms are at ground level adjacent to the pool area - great if you want to step straight out, b...

We stayed at the Oasis Village form 15th till 22nd of January 2014.

This was a cheap winter break for us and we had a good holiday. However the accommodation here is very basic. The rooms are spacious and clean, but they do need some upgrading and painting.

The food is good, with a lot of choice at the buffet. It was all fresh and appetising with something for everyone. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful throughout the resort.

The entertainments team do try very hard: they are friendly and hard-working. However I have to say they are not the most talented team. Their job is made harder as the evening venue is badly lit with little atmosphere and has a below par sound system.

The pool area is nice, and there are things to do (bingo, darts volleyball etc,). However I was a bit disappointed with the all inclusive drinks offer (local spirits only served in a plastic cup). However you do get what you pay for, and so I would say this is a good value hotel.
