“Lovely relaxing holiday”
Reviewed 19 March 2014

We just got home from staying at the Oasis Village, we enjoyed our week there, we had a room in A block not too far from reception , pool area was always nice n clean they have a man going round all day over collecting rubbish n empty bins, the all inclusive was ok , you get free WiFi every morning if you go and sit in reception. All the staff were very friendly, and the entertainments team were very good with the children, adult entertainment was ok but we went out some of the nights plenty going on down the Main Street , or go a walk around the sea front, plenty of bars n restaurants, hotel in a good position only a ten minute stroll to the sea front, food was good they had a few theme nights but you could always find some thing to eat salad bar was very good, you don't get the sun on your patio on a downstairs room if you want that ask for next level up the children's pool was heated , .

Room Tip: If you want the sun on your patio ask for next level up room , A block near to reception ,

Just back from Oasis Village and what a disapointment . Was there last Jan and its was so good we rebooked for this year but in a year it is went downhill and is tacky and needs an upgrade.Reception is good and was fast so no complaints as was the transfer from airport but the rooms were tacky and needed a paint job. The beds have linen that is 6 inch to small but was changed every second day but furniture is sadly done. The pool area broken tiles all over the place so felt sorry for folk usuing pool area this needs attention NOW. The under varanda seating area was full of smokers so you could not sit and enjoy a coffee without feeling that you were in a smog bank disgusting this area should not be for smokers but for all as it sits outside the restuarant . The hotel needs to put the smokers in another area so that other guests can enjoy there holiday without smelling like a old ashtray . The food well poor and if they have a new chef he needs sacked. We did manage to eat every night but it was not by choice you pay for your food you exspect good food . The italian night had pork as the main meal so what happend to pizzas, pasta was cooked fresh but the sauces for them was well i dont no what it was meant to be . The Indian night was a korma come on get the food nights correct and a bit more thought . The drinks in plastic cups needs to stop you paid for all inclusive yet cannot get a beer in a glass . The staff are working hard in a hotel thats is sinking fast. The entertainment team saved the day it was so bad they made the rest of the place look good.Would I go back. NEVER.

Dear Guest,

First of all, I would like to say that we are really sorry if your stay in Oasis Village did not covered your expectations.

Regarding to your comments, in our restaurant buffet, there are, in daily basis, different choices available (we follow a fortnightly menu) It surprises not to find something pleasant.

I understand that it might disturb you the smoke from cigarettes, but following European law, smoking is permitted in outdoor spaces.

Rooms should be well maintened but no refurbishments had been done since last January, so I cannot understand why do you feel that this year the rooms are tacky.
In any case, we appreciate you comments and, undoubtedly, we will take them into consideration.

We sympathize with you, but feel that maybe if you had reported to us your feelings during your stay, we could have made your holidays more enjoyable.

Best regards,

Amalia Montero

After reading some of these reviews I wonder if they were at the same hotel as me or just want a 5* hotel for a 3* price! After not being abroad for 11 years we took our 7 year old daughter here for her first holiday abroad. The hotel itself is really clean and regardless of the time of day you can always see members of the housekeeping team working away. Yes the rooms are basic but personally I didn't go on holiday to sit in my room all day! Yes there are cracked tiles, so what? It didnt affect my holiday. Although not always keen on the theme nights/evening meals myself and my family always managed to find something we all liked. The only negative is the food wasn't piping got but I expect this when people are mass catering. The rep Kat and entertainment team - Mel, Megan, Sam and Dan absolutely made our holiday, thankyou! If you fancy a meal out the slow boat 2 Chinese restaurant is amazing with 188 buffet dishes to choose from. We have already decided we're returning next year, just hope we meet as many great people as we did this time.

We stayed here for a week in October 2014. This hotel was very clean and the pools were in excellent condition, the food was varied and very night they had a theme from a different country, the reception staff were freindly and there is free wifi here but only in the reception between 9am and 10pm. This was fine with me, you can pay for wifi in your room but other guests said the signal was very poor and not worth the money, the kids club is really good and they keep the kids entertained the whole day and evening if you so wished. We played tennis on the courts and it was very well looked after. I didn't really find any faults with this hotel, it's only a five minute walk from the town centre which was buzzing at night. I would definitely go back and stay here. Oh we didn't have air conditioning bit it gets quite cool at night and in the morning too so it wasn't a problem for us.

First experience of all inclusive and I will not be doing that again without a lot of research. This hotel needs a refurb urgently. The food was of very poor quality and poorly cooked. Salad was OK. Should have an adults only lounge. All drinks not available all the time. Spoke to the rep, who tried to explain the inexcusable. Overall this was a pretty poor week, just as well I was with a mate, who, like me, saw the funny side.

Room Tip: Ask for one that gets the sun on it's patio.

We enjoyed 3 weeks at oasis village in feb.The hotel was nice and the kids loved the heated pool.We were a party of 9 and we were given rooms at the top end of the complex where every morning we woke up to a really bad sewer smell, it was usually gone by 10am ish so it didnt effect our holiday. As it was feb we had a few rainy days where the pool bar was closed (which we would expect) we were told drinks and snacks would be available in the bar area instead.. all they had was packets of dry ham sandwiches and a few cakes in a tub, this went on for 4 days. The staff at Oasis Village are nice but it was the entertainment staff that made the holiday, they put 100% into all there shows and really made the effort to engage with the guests..Out 2 year old daughter loved the kids party every night and thanks to the entertainment staff (mainly Mel and Megan) she joined in in all the games and dances.I think the food at all inclusive is never going to meet everybodys standards but we found it alright..Overall we would def stay in this hotel again..
