“Good value friendly staff”
Reviewed 22 June 2014

Returned from here yesterday after spending an enjoyable week. Had no complaints with the room, it was very clean. Staff always friendly, food was plentiful and always managed to find a meal we liked. Don't be put off by any bad reviews some people will moan at anything. Only a couple of incidents to gripe at, second night there a fight kicked off below our room but swiftly dealt with by security then was woken at 5am one morning by people staying in next room out on their balcony being a bit loud but hey it was their holiday too. Live and let live!!

We stayed here from the 4 June to the 18th, there were 15 of us in our party, 10 adults and 5 children. We were thankful that the hotel was only about 1/4 full, I wouldn't want to be there if it was full to capacity, it was nice not to have to try get sunbeds, or rush to get into the dining room. It is a fairly large complex, with two large pools, one a little bigger than the other, plus a toddler pool, but we found the sun beds were very uncomfortable, with big dips in them and you could feel the hard wooden boards in them, rooms were large, but basic, we had a kettle and a fridge, but that was all, but to be fair we didn't go there to cook, what we did find uncomfortable on some days and evenings, was the fact of no air conditioning, the rooms could be unbearably stuffy, not good at night trying to sleep. Food was ok, but not great, could be a bit hit and miss, but breakfast was always good, just a shame all the tea machines, toasters were all so far away from each other, butter and jams were at the other end of the room, the waitresses were the most pleasant and friendly people I have come across in a hotel, they didn't mind if a child made a mess on the floor or if a plate got accidentally smashed, they always dealt with it with a smile. The entertainment team work exceptionally hard, they try very hard to keep people occupied throughout the day, but they don't push you to join in, its totally your choice, they were a great bunch, Steven, Melissa, Aleise and Megan, who I had met in a Thomas cook hotel in Cyprus last year, she recognised me straight away, as I did her, what a coincidence to meet in another hotel in another country a year on, great girl, great team. Their evening shows were always done with great enthusiasm, even most of my gang got up and participated in some of the games. The hotel grounds were kept exceptionally well, it always looked so clean and tidy. We spoke to an old gentleman, who informed us he was 84, he comes to the hotel 3 times a year, and has done for the past 5 years, so I suppose it can't be that bad. Its a pretty good family hotel, but on saying that, I wouldn't rush to go back there without any children, plus I think the food would need re structuring, but maybe that was me as I had come down with Tonsilitis for most of my holiday, so all food was fairly hard work, the main thing is the kids enjoyed and loved the kids club,

right, before i start ,let me just say anyone who has read my previous reviews know i always try to find the good in any hotel.
first off let me start with the good points. rooms are spacious and bright. great start we though
then the size of the pools is amazing.
the selection of drinks is second to none.
the animation team work there little socks off and do a fantastic job. thanks mel, steve, megan and alise. you lot are a credit to the thomas cook!!

right bad points.
lets start with the food.(if you can call it that) worst food i have ever had at any all inclusive holiday.
maids need a kick up the backside and do what they are paid to do, you couldnt tell at any point they had been into the room
right here it comes the biggie.
there are some foriegn reps in the hotel who are hell bent on causing trouble for the brits. shouting over the p.a system and i quote we hate the british!! they literaly tormented one young familyto the point the mother was in tears nearly everyday! they literaly whent into this young family's rooms and called them british scum!!! don't even bother asking to see the manager, i asked to see her and was told she would be out of a meeting in 10 minutes, 45 minutes later she still hadn't appeared( suprise suprise).these guys were walking round the hotel like they owned the place. it made the whole experience going to this hotel for the first time the one experience i will never forget! thank you oasis village but this is one guest who will NEVER return to your hotel!!!

Room Tip: do yourself a favor and book somewhere else!!!!!!!!!

Well it all started with the pick up, we had to wait 45 mins for another flight to get in and then had the bus driver from hell, 45 min trip to hotel but took us 30 and we had kids on the bus aswell. Hotel was nice, lots of space in the rooms and then found a cockroach in the bath room, then we have the food well it was the same everyday and when we had fish it was brown, the presentation of most of the food was shocking, I had the pasta sauce and it was very salty.
The entertainment in the day was the same, if you like quizzes and bloody bingo then you would of loved it, night time the kids club was on and then for about an hour we had........... Yes you guessed it quizzes and bingo again. We went to the other oasis hotel up the road which is Dunas and it was a lot better, even though it wasn't all inclusive but the drinks and the food was great, whether we had to pay for it as you got proper soft drinks instead of rola-cola.
Overall not a good holiday and even when speaking to some guests that came the year before they even said that it has changed for the worse,

We stayed at the Oasis from the 7th to the 14th June and we're really happy with our week, it's a good hotel with good food and really clean, the hotel is really quiet right now at approx 1/4 capacity so there was no rush for sun beds or long queues at the bar etc, staff were friendly, maids in every day ( except Sunday),large balcony, rooms large with a fridge, hob and utensils if u want to use them, and overall we had no complaints at all, I can only assume that the complainers on here either had too high expectations of a 3* hotel or actively look for faults when they go away( which you could do with any hotel).
We were a party of five, 4 adults and 1 4yr old and everyone ( all well travelled) were happy with the hotel so if you are going here and are apprehensive due to the negative reviews all I can suggest is that you take the scare stories with a pinch of salt.

Room Tip: As previous reviewers have said ask for an upper room if u want the sun, lower rooms are shaded by t...

Our first time at the oasis village, must say i am used to 4 or 5 star hotels, this one surprised me, for a 3 star it was very clean, you could always find something to eat, staff very friendly, we wasn't too bothered by the lack of entertainment for adults, so we could only get 2 drinks per person, it was no big deal, yes i would/will go back to the oasis, i enjoyed the whole 2 weeks.
