We stayed here a couple of weeks ago. We usually stay in this hotel and have done so about 3 times now for 7-14 days at a time. Its pleasant enough with some good staff however the last time we were there it was clear it needs a little TLC. Plenty of cracked tiles in the roof, stuff hanging off walls and we booked the 4EUR TV for the night to watch Sky Family with the wee one. To start with it was an old Black and White slapstick that was on, clearly not really Sky Family viewing - we were told that no this is right. We then looked up the Sky planner on the App and right enough it should have been something else. We went back over to ask them to change it and then it became clear as to why it was not on Sky Family! Sure it was fine for about 15 minutes, but then a Sky information box came up about the service about to be terminated and that to retain the service, please call Sky. We went to reception and were told it was a technical issue that was being resolved - give it 30-45 minutes. As I got back, the message had changed and it was a clear account billing issue rather than technical problem. Someone clearly hadn't been paying the bills! In the past we had the option of eating in the hotel without charge but perused the food and decided to go into town and pay 50EUR for food instead of eating what was being served - not because we are fussy eaters, but because it was crap! We won't be back as it was good at one point but its been on a steady decline and if bills aren't being paid for straightforward services they are offering from other suppliers (Sky) then it would make me question paying for the stay in advance of getting there!

We stayed there last summer which seems like a lifetime ago but we're going back so we obviously enjoyed it! The reception staff were lovely, really friendly and helped us in both English and my dodgy Spanish too! Our room was on the ground floor away from the bar and pool so was really quiet and we slept really well each night. We didn't eat there so can't comment on the food but we did use the shop on site for breakfast and fresh foods which was very reasonable and good quality! The pool was chilly but good when sat in the sun for any length of time :) the bar was open while we were there and the pool side entertainment was good craic! Our room was clean and kept clean by wonderful cleaning staff. We saw maintance out cleaning up every day, painting and cleaning everywhere. It's no wonder I can't wait to go back! It's a bit of a stroll to the town but to be honest that didn't bother us as it meant the hotel was quiet and peaceful which it was and the walk was needed after all the good food and drinks :)

We have just returned from a week's stay at this hotel. Like most people we read reviews before we went and were quite alarmed at mention of cockroaches, uncleanliness and lack of service.
This is my honest opinion of what we considered to be a good, value for money accommodation .
This is a budget hotel that in all honesty is looking quite tired and has definitely seen better days. It could so with a serious injection of cash to update it. That is the only thing that is wrong with this hotel!! Due to an accident while I was in Corralejo we had to move to a ground floor room and so actually saw 3 different rooms in 3 different blocks during our stay. All rooms were very clean and had all basic facilities needed for a self catering stay. As I was laid up with a foot injury most of every day was spent at the hotel and we constantly witnessed the maintenance team tending the grounds and painting various areas. We also saw all the pool area and sun beds being pressure washed clean.
The location of the hotel is in a quiet area about 15 minutes stroll from the harbour and old town and has its own supermarket on site that sells fresh baked goods for breakfast and is very reasonably priced and is also open until 10pm There is free wifi in reception and in seating area nearby. Reception was open 24 hours a day and would quickly organise any requests. We needed a lightbulb replacing in our room and it was done within a very short time. Following my accident where I tripped in a nearby street and broke my foot the hotel staff could not have been more helpful. They immediately transferred us to a ground floor room and were on hand to help with all our requests such as receipt of faxes from our travel insurance, wheelchair hire etc.
In summary this is a budget hotel, and so for the price you will most likely pay to stay here to not go expecting 5 star luxury and you won't be disappointed . If your room has a problem - tell reception and it will be sorted very quickly - they really do work hard to make your stay a pleasant one. Yes the hotel needs a refurbishment and hopefully one day it will get one- we saw a refurbished suite room and it was very nice. In the meantime you get what you pay for and we were happy with what we got for the money we paid.
And finally - we didn't see any cockroaches, ants or other nasties , our rooms and all public areas were cleaned well and regularly and we had plenty of hot water at all times . I can't comment on the food as we were self catering.

Only had a 2 night stay. Hotel is tired but clean, needs a tidy up and a coat of paint would certainly help. We had a two bedroom apartment with stunning views. Our stay was half board, Food was nothing special. Evening meal was the worst of the food selection very poor, one meat one fish and one pasta that what the lot. Staff were friendly and polite. Location was pretty just very windy and right at the top end of resort, nothing much else in the area.
Would also like to point out that although the pool did have a life guard when he felt like being about, he was not in sight when my husband hurt himself and we had trouble getting him out of the pool, overall it was ok for the 2 night stay we paid for.

Only just 3 star. We have been to another Hesperia Hotel and found the quality of this hotel just acceptable. If you do plan to stay at this hotel would recommend that you either go room only or bed and breakfast.

Stayed here for a week from 3/05 - 10/05.
3 of us stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment which was fine. There was a bed in the living room for the 3rd person which was great as we didnt have to keep making up a bed settee.
The towels were changed and the room was cleaned regularly. There was also a mop, bucket and brush provided if u wanted to use them.
Apartments were well equipped for our needs and an ample size.
It was a 10 min walk or 3 euros in a taxi to the town centre.
On site supermarket was reasonable, well stocked, and open til 10pm.
The only negatives were the opening hours, prices, and the lack of variety provided at the pool bar. 4 euros for a pint of lager.
Both the pools were salt water, not one of each as stated in the description.
If there are 4 People in a one bed apt, the bed settee is very uncomfortable.
I would recommend these apartments and would definitely come back.

I booked this hotel as I liked the idea of staying in Corralejo. There were 3 of us that stayed in the room, upon arrival, which was around 12pm we were told that check-in was at 5pm, which was late considering our flight was at 6am that morning and we were tired; but we agreed that we would come back at 5pm. When we got to the room there were only 2 towels, and there was only a desk lamp to use for light in the living area. There was a light in the kitchen area, but it didn't work. So we asked for more towels and for the light to be fixed. When we returned, there were sufficient towels and the light worked, but within a minute it had turned off again, so we had to suffice with the lamp as a source of light. As the days went on we noticed that the floors were not being cleaned, or the tables, etc. The towels were only changed about 3 times during our stay. On the second day there was no hot water, so we thought maybe there was a shortage of hot water so we waited another day and there was still no hot water, but on the third day we had had enough and went to complain. We told the receptionist that we had no hot water for 3 days and she told us that it would be checked by maintenance later on. So we went out for the day and came back later on in the day. When we came back we asked the lady if the hot water was now working and she replied yes. She was very polite and we said thanks. My mum took a bath as the water was now hot and I went to have a shower afterwards and the water was once again freezing! I went to the receptionist and said that the water was once again cold and the manager came out from a room and was very aggressive and said that we had used up all the hot water and that he cannot do anything and that it wasn't his problem. I said to him that we have had no hot water for 3 days so why was it that it wasnt working? He couldnt give me an answer and was just rude and said I have to wait for the tank to fill up with hot water. So I waited until the next day and still no hot water and again the next day no hot water, which is riduculous as we wanted to have a warm shower instead of a freezing cold one. And to top it all off, we found a huge cockroach in the bathroom, probably due to the fact that the rooms were not cleaned properly and the floors were filthy. Also, the neds are very hard and so uncomfortable, and the pictures that the hotel provide of the rooms are not at all like the pictures, the rooms are extremely outdated, and the pool had black patches at the bottom all over so we didn't use it! We will definately not be returning to this hotel and advise anyyone to AVOID THIS HOTEL! It ruined our holiday, don't let it ruin yours.
