“Good holidays! Great value for money!”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

We have just returned from a one week all-inclusive stay at Aloe Club with our two kids (aged 5 & 3), and we have had a great time! Great value for money.

Reception staff were super-friendly and approachable, and we were checked-in in no time at all. As we arrived after dinner time, reception had already ordered lunch bags for us with drinks, sandwiches and some fruit.

Our apartment was located on the second floor overlooking the pool area with a nice balcony to chill in evenings. The rooms are spacious and well laid-out. We had a AC unit build-in that did not seem to work, but were provided with a mobile AC, just in case we needed it (we had it on only one evening). Kitchenette is small but as we booked all inclusive we only used the fridge anyway. Worth mentioning that there is no kettle in the kitchen, but you can hire one at reception, if you want one. Beds were a bit on the hard side as the mattresses are fairly thin, especially on the sofa beds, if you are using them. Safe is also in the room, but you'll need to hire the lock-unit from reception again. Bathroom was clean and tidy, but probably needs a little updating soon. Overall, we were very happy with the accommodation and are only nitpicking here...

Pool area is nicely laid-out and the kids loved spending all day in the water. As the pools are not heated, the water can be quite fresh in the mornings, but will warm up during the day. Later in the season, I think this will not be an issues at all. Sunbeds were always available this week. The kids playground, a five-a-side football pitch and a beach-volleyball court round off the outdoor activity facilities.

Entertainment/animation was great, with kids activities and games in the mornings and afternoons, and sports/games for the adults dotted around the day. Evening entertainment included a mini disco for the kids and the usual shows/acts for the adults. The two-man entertainment/animation team is a credit to the place and we all really enjoyed our week with them!

Located on the outskirts of Corralejo, Aloe Club is a little further away from the bustle of town and the beach. All is walkable, but you'll need 25-30 minutes to both beach and centre of town by foot. Taxis and a beach bus are available though.

Booked a few weeks before leaving for only £300 each including flights and this was a great value break. The hotel is right on the edge of the town so about 20 minutes walk to the centre but taxis were cheap and quick to arrive. The staff were fab, really friendly and helpful. The room was big and clean, plenty of space including a kitchen area although we were all-inclusive. The pools were cold but that didn't bother the kids! They were kept busy most of the time either swimming or playing football/ volleyball. The food was fine - people complain about it being repetitive but for the money there is no way we could have provided the choice and amount on offer if we were self-catering, not to mention not having to shop, cook or clean up! Free wi-fi in reception was useful. Entertainment was pretty poor but just sitting around drinking and chatting was lovely, and the kids could run about safely with the new friends they made. After a few days we did feel a bit cooped up so had a day at the Grandes Playa (very windy but gorgeous) and also hired bikes from a shop further up the same road, (35 euros for 4 bikes and helmets for 24 hours), to cycle out to the dunes. There were probably lots of other good excursions to be had but we were trying to stick to a budget. Overall would definitely recommend this for a good value, restful family holiday, and cannot really see what there is to complain about!

Room Tip: We had 215, pool and bar view (could see kids when they went to get drinks etc) but not directly nex...

We were in the Aloe Club Resort as a family of three adults and two children (3,5 and 6). We spent a week there.

Location
Hotel's location is according to its description. Relatively short walk downtown, in a quiet area.

Standard

I cannot compare its standard with similar hotels in Fuerteventura but I find the rooms large and well equipped. It is clear that the rooms require certain renovation but who cares if you spend there a week or two. There is one serious problem in some rooms - rather strong, awful odour (from the sewage? installation). We immediately asked the reception to change at least one of our apartments for a different one but it turned out that the second one also stank.

We were not eager to change our rooms once again, so we decided to cope with the smell a few more days. We managed but it was definitely not the most pleasant thing to remember.
The public areas of the hotel would require renovation - you could find some minor problems- leaking taps, missing, loose or broken tiles, etc.

Restaurant
We found the meals very good, rich and quite diverse. The staff in the restaurant could not be better - always efficient, very polite and helpful. Simona and her colleagues do a fabulous job, thank you all!

Animation
Despite all devotion, energy and enthusiasm of both animateurs it seems that the hotel management should spend a little more money to organise the evening activities. There was almost no decoration during minidisco (despite that, our children loved it immensely!) and we remember from our previous holidays in Spain that it could be better. Also the toys were already old and worn out ...
This complaint does not apply to the instructors - they were very very good! :-)

Service
The whole staff was very professional and extremely helpful. Multilingual Kamila and her colleagues were one of the brightest elements of our stay in Aloe Club Resort. With them this holiday was much more pleasant. Thank you and muchos gracias!

Just returned from a week all inclusive with on the beach paid £501 each, flight time good and couldn't fault Ryanair, first the sort of positives! Food wasn't bad just repetative I felt any food not used was recycled, themed nights were italian (pasta on every night )paella was good if you got the mixed meat and shell fish I found the brussel sprouts one strange,Now the worse bits our room was overlooking the pool and had obviously been updated unfortunately it backed onto the entertainment room rooms 101 to 104 we were moved further away to a room that hadnt been touched since the 80s (see photos) description from on the beach was hairdryers in the bathroom, you have to get them from reception and leave a deposit reception staff mostly friendly, not elderly or people with disabilities there are no lifts a lot of stairs to climb to reception, entertainment really
would I go again unlikely
bad in a dingy dark room, one small bar and drinks in thin plastic cups even coffee, plastic sunbeds mostly cracked myself and others fell through lifeguard continued to put them out pools cold and dirty

Exactly as the title says, booked about 2 weeks in advance, rooms very very good standard and spotless, had a lounge/kitchen/dining area, separate bedroom and then shower room with walk in shower. We had room 341 which was out of the way, very quiet, food was ok, themed nights, good supply and always something we liked, croissants, fresh bread and paella were lovely, but lunch got a bit samey. Excellent choice of drinks, you could basically have whatever you wanted and as many as you want. Very good sized pools, plenty of sun beds and no one reserved them. Free wifi in the reception area, free bus to a larger beach with a smaller one by the centre of corralejo approx 20 mins walk. Amazing views of the dunes from the front. Friendly and helpful staff, all round good getaway, just a shame about the clouds!

Me and my wife was looking for a quick getaway. This hotel and resort was great. We went all inclusive. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food and drink was good too. Taxis are very cheap and the 'playa beach' is amazing. There is a free bus from the hotel to 2 different beaches with a return journey. Very plesant place to stay. Good for children too.. Would definitely go back there... Scouse mouse.

Room Tip: Pool view rooms are very nice

If like us, you planned to come self catering, to see a little of the town and prop up the local businesses, which are clearly suffering from the surge in 'all inclusive packages,'and maybe get home once the bars have closed about 1am have a beer and a game of cards and hit the hay, DO NOT STAY HERE. We did exactly this and had a stern knock on the door on our second to last night to be told if we weren't quiet we would be thrown out the following day. Bearing in mind we are a professional couple aged 29 & 33 (hardly rowdy) in a hotel that is possibly a third full? If there was any issue it would be that the hotel placed an older all inclusive couple who have probably been in bed since 10.30, when the in house entertainment finishes, in an apartment beneath a younger self catering couple who want to stay up a couple of hours later than that, and may need to move the heavy wooden furniture across the stone tiled floor every once in a while. We were made to feel like naughty school kids by the man from the desk. Left a very sour taste. More objectively, the hotel is next to a large abandoned building site, and is a €5 taxi or 30+ minute walk from town. To do this twice a day gets tedious. The entertainment is garbage and the pools are freezing. The girls on reception were friendly and helpful but that sadly is it. Disappointing. Don't bother.
