Well just returned from this hotel.went with family including two teenagers.
The waiters were very friendly and helpful, but there was not enough of them.Alexandra on reception was a star ,she is wasted in this hotel she should be in a 5 star hotel.
The room we had was very clean but needed updating.
The pool are was not cleaned until we had been there 9 days it was filthy. Then it was cleaned by every member if staff! Someone told me that they only clean it every 15 days,I don't know if this is true or not.Every other hotel I have stayed have staff that moves sunbeds on an evening and tidies the pool area but not at this hotel!
The bar area if you call it that is a window where you have to queue for 2 drinks served in plastic cups, there are that many plastic cups all over the hotel, enough to fill landfill on their own.
The animation team are very good, they cater for all ages and seem to work all hours.
The food is ok but nothing special, and queues all the time, lots of small children walking about unsupervised,an accident waiting to happen.
This hotel needs fully refurbishing and a bar area ,lounge is needed instead of sitting in tents outside.
The Manager of this hotel needs a wake up call. Should only be a two star if that.
Would definatly not reccomend.

A tad late in a review but have booked to go back in November so all good with this hotel. Traveled on my own and found all the staff very helpful, food was varied and of good quality on all nights but if you want a stroll into town then i would say it's a 20 minute one. Beach close if you turn left out of hotel say around 7 minutes. Stayed in room 510 which was huge and newly decorated. All in all had a fab week away, weather was great and the island just perfect. Have stayed in all price range hotels on my hols and have to say for the money this one is good. Cant wait to return.

I went here with my partner back in June. The staff were very friendly. They even gave us all inclusive wrist bands (not sure whether accidental or not). The rooms were large and as clean as you'd expect. Only around 15 mins walk from the centre.

Room was good apart air con broke. But you couldnt get a sunbed. Towels down at six am. Pool ok. Walk to beach one mile but were young and fit so we didnt mind. Free bus for those who did. Town one mile. Id choose another appt next time due to distance and sunbed situation. Also pool didn't look as clean as others weve been to. Corralejo amazing as always. Try rock cafe. Amazing band.

Arrived 4th July until 17th July

My husband and I joined our friends and their two children (aged 4 &6) on holiday to the Aloe Club resort in Corralejo and it was the best holiday we have had in many years.
So much so that we extended our 1 weeks holiday to 12 days!!

On arrival to Fureteventura we didnt know what to expect having never been there before and after leaving the airport we had our doubts as it looked very deserted and desert like. How wrong we were!
We booked via onthebeach and as we were not travelling with our friends (they had arrived a day earlier) we requested that we have a room close to them.
When we reached the Aloe Club resort we asked at the reception about our room being close to our friends and they were excellent, in our opinion we had the best room. It was right in the far corner with a view of the pool and we had sun on our balcony all day up to 9pm. And we were only a few yards away from our friends. The staff couldnt be more helpful. Although we did request a fan as our air con didnt work but this was not a problem at all. As the wind is so refreshing we just kept our windows open.
The rooms are massive with an open plan living kitchen area with hob, microwave, kettle, fridge (the basics) Although as an all inclusive we didnt use any of it.
The hotel is extremely clean the cleaners bleach everywhere and when we asked them about it they said it stops all the flies and cockroaches. So it did, I didnt see one the entire holiday.
We had our beds made daily and towels changed every other day. Although the towels are a bit shabby they are clean.
The pools are very clean and the heated pool is just fantastic.
The staff entertain guests all day long with lots of activities around the pool including an aqua gym class every day. The evening entertainment wasnt for us as it was mostly for the kids so my husband and I went out for dinner a couple of nights which was fabulous, the island has so much to offer for both couples and families. Even though we had an all inclusive eating out was very reasonable so we didnt mind. But if you dont want to miss out on the all inclusive this is also fabulous. The choice of food is great something different every night. The salad bars are perfect if you dont like fried food or are a vegi.
The bar is open all day until 11pm which was the only bug bare but the booze is so cheap on the island that we just stocked up and filled our fridge for the late night card games.

The town center is only a 15/20 min walk or a 3 euro cab ride, the receptionist calls the cab and and within minutes it arrives every time!
The free shuttle to the beach can be quite stressful as in the second week the hotel was fully booked and everyone wanted to go to the beach and you either have to be patient and wait for the bus to do about 3 drops offs or you call a cab and pay 4/5 euros to flag beach or 3 euros to Waikiki beach and you are there in 5 minutes. We did this as most of the guests at the hotel liked to push in front of us in the bus line and with kids it become a little hot hanging around so the best advise I can give is if you have to wait for more than 20 minutes for the bus just get a cab.

Why did we extend?
Sitting by the pool on the weds (due to leave friday) we were gutted that we were leaving in 2 days, there was still so much we wanted to do, and we all had a good old moan about how we should have booked two weeks! Over the course of the week the children started getting small spots on their face and we thought this was prickly heat as it was getting worse throughout the day. Come Weds our friends decided to take the children to the doctos the following morning if it hadnt got any better. To our amazement they had caught chicken pox! Our friends said the medical centre was fabulous the receptionsist spoke perfect English and the doctor advised they couldnt fly home! WHAT A RESULT! Feeling a bit gutted I was having to leave our friends we decided that we would make the most of this! We really wanted to learn how to Kitesurf and as we hadnt managed to fit it in, in the first week, this gave us the perfect excuss to extend.
It was a bit tricky trying to extend as we had already checked in online for our return flight before we left the UK. We tried to ring Ryan Air on the Thursday to reschedule but they just kept hanging the phone up as soon as they answered so we decided to take a ride down to the airport to visit the Ryan Air desk (we hired a motorbike to get around HIGHLY recommended if you have a bike license)
If you ever want to extend a holiday with Ryan Air DONT CHECK IN ONLINE BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE UK wait until you get to your destination as we were told that because we had checked in and it was less than 24 hours before our flight was due to leave we couldnt reschedule so we had to buy new flights. Although this was no more expensive really it only cost £130 for the both of us.

Aloe Club receptionist went out of her way to make sure we could stay in the same hotel and room. Obviously we didnt want to change hotels if our friends were staying. Even though it was fully booked they managed to keep us in the same rooms. To our surprise it only cost us an extra 420 euros for the extra 5 nights. For an all inclusive hotel this is excellent. You pay more for a travel lodge here in the UK!

Even though the children had the pox they didnt suffer at all or complain about it, they were not sick and it didnt bother them one bit, so we all managed to have a fabulous extended holiday.

The Kite Surfering on Flag bleach is highly reccommended Its an English guy that owns it and the instructors are fantasic, We had Andy who was also from where we come from in the UK so we got on great. Its also great value for money, we were going to learn here in the UK but it was half the price on Flag beach so we went for it, if your looking to get the most out of it defiantly do a 3 day course, we only did two days but we wished we had done the 3 so we will defiantly be going back.

WEAR SUN SCREEN - The wind is so nice that you dont notice how strong the sun is. We went to the beach on our second day and didnt protect ourselves enough and suffered with sunburn quite a bit so cover up or put factor 30/50 on all day when on the beach.

We have only been home a few days and already looking at dates for next year.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the reception level or ground floor levels if you have kids. We had the top level...

This is an honest review of the few problems we encountered but overall we had a great holiday. The hotel rooms were lovely and we would stay there again. We stayed with 3 adult children (19, 20 and 21). Hotel was overbooked for first night and we all had to stay at sister hotel down road. Hotel was ok but inconvenient as had a long day travelling and didn't arrive til 8.30pm so having to then get a taxi to another hotel was not welcome. At Aloe we had rooms on 3 rd floor at back of hotel so nice views of pool and not too noisy. Food was good but choice was limited and by end of week we were getting a bit bored of the same food all the time. Struggled to get a table big enough for 5 some times as restaurant was full but didn't usually wait more than about 5 minutes. Queues in restaurant for food and drink sometimes quite long and too many young children left to their own devices and unsupervised in restaurant which is dangerous with hot drinks and food around. Only one bar and queues could be quite long but staff were very friendly and helpful. Air con didn't work in one room and was really noisy in the other. Was reported but although checked by maintenance staff nothing was done to fix it before we left. We liked to play pool and air hockey and only one of the 3 pool tables worked and the air hockey table was out of order most of the week. On the plus side, all the staff were lovely. We did the volcano express tour to Lanzarote which we all enjoyed and the beach at La Oliva was amazing. A free shuttle bus is available at 10am every morning returning at 1pm although if you stayed longer it was less than 5 euros for a taxi back to the hotel. 10 -15 minutes to walk to local shops and town beach. Free wifi available in reception but not great in evenings when loads of people using it. Could get paid wifi for £1.50 a day but this wasn't much better. If you want to use internet for weather or trip planning or checking emails avoid evenings when very busy.

Room Tip: Unless you have young children or struggle with stairs I'd avoid ground floor rooms as if the ai...
