“Very comfortable, great All Inclusive”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 January 2014

Great location and the all inclusive is a very good deal, including brands like Baileys. The service is fantastic and the beds are some of the most comfortable that I've ever had in a hotel. The only downside is that it isn't right on the coast, so you don't get a very good sea-view. However, it's only a few minutes walk to the sandy beach. Do try the jazz night in the pool bar - you have to sign up in advance, but it's a really nice evening and a change from the buffet. They did Canarian food in the buffet on the Tuesday night which was lovely.

We have just returned from a 2 wk stay at the above hotel which included Christmas Eve/New Year Eve. The gala dinners on both evenings were second to none and the staff went out of their way to make it special. We last stayed at this hotel a year ago and were surprised at the amount of changes there had been in our absence. The best of which was a new bed in our room which has been a request of mine in the past. Not so pleasing were the 8 hot tubs and double sun beds that appeared on the roof of the lounge and just under our balcony. The balcony didn't feel as private as it had been and I found the rumbling of the water jets sent me running to the loo!

Overall we were very happy with our stay although we did miss David Castle, the pianist who used to play in the early evening.

Room Tip: Higher floors overlooking the pools offer a better view and are quieter.

The hotel is very well situated with the beach and shops/ bars so close, hotel food quite good but got a it boring after two weeks. I went half board and was I bit off having to pay for every drink at dinner even water.Beer was 3.50 euros in the hotel , you could get it cheaper and better quality down near beach.Christmas dinner we did get free drink but turkey was not on the menu but it was on Boxing Day . But of you could eat as much as you like every night and not feel you had leave your table when you were finished to make way for other guest.
I went with Solitair which is a singles travel company the first week there were 10 in the group which was a reasonable number and every body made friends , but week two the numbers went down to four including my self this was very unexpected as Solitair had advertised a sold out week for the new year week so I was expecting at least another 10 like minded travellers. So this week was not as enjoyable as it could have been with more people ,but we made the most of the last week as best we could . I would go on another holiday by myself but not with Solitair.
We only had a day and half of rain the rest of the holiday was quite good weather so I did comeback with a bit of a tan

Room Tip: Third floor rooms over looking the pool are the best but rear rooms are quite

Situated 2 minute walk from main stretch of bars and restaurants and 2 minutes to the beach, perfect. Buffet style food, lots to choose from including fresh meat and fish grilled in front of you. Pool area very quiet and relaxing, lots of sunbeds available, it was December, but still warm enough to sunbathe. Good exercise activities like Zumba, Pilates and yoga and decent sized gym. Free shuttle bus to the dunes beach was great, sea was lovely and warm and great cafés on the beach. If you like rock/reggae music, you are in for a treat, some good bands at Rock Corner and Rock Cafe with nice food served there too. Hotel staff extremely pleasant, no complaints at all. Great relaxing holiday, would definitely return.

We are just back from a second wonderful Christmas escape at the Barceló Corralejo Bay. We have never before returned to a holiday destination, preferring to try out new places and experiences. However, the Barceló is simply so good at doing what it does, that we have booked again for Winter 2014!
We consider ourselves ‘young-minded’ fifty-somethings, and it is only fair to say that the majority of fellow guests over Christmas and New Year were somewhat more mature than us. This does influence the dynamics of the hotel, which has a lovely slow pace and calm aura. There is no piped musak, no late-night corridor revelry and, best of all, no children!!!! All extremely good reasons to choose the Barceló Corralejo Bay in our book.
Without a doubt the strength of the Barceló Corralejo Bay is its fabulous staff. Nothing is ever too much trouble and we never tired of hearing “de nada” everywhere we went. Throw in daily sunshine and 20 degrees-plus on the thermometer, and it makes for a thoroughly relaxing and rejuvenating winter warmer.

Two of my sisters, my brother in law and I spent a wonderful week at this hotel over the Christmas period. The service at the hotel was exceptional, all the staff, reception, bar, restaurant, entertainment, cleaners were welcoming and attentive, always service with a smile. The rooms are clean, spacious and exceptionally comfortable, particularly the beds! Food at both breakfast and dinner was amazing with so much choice and variety. The pool area is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and well laid out, with the added bonus of being child free creating a tranquil and relaxed atmosphere. The location of the hotel is good, being close to the beach and resort centre, whilst, the hotel itself, due to its positioning and layout, is quiet, ideal for a spot of relaxation in the sun. We wish we could have stayed another week!

Room Tip: High floor, overlooking the pool area

Arrived here on Christmas day to a very warm welcome and excellent service from the reception team.
Property is very well maintained and splotlessly clean, the rooms are spacious, the beds are VERY comfortable and the jacuzzi on the balcony great fun.
All the staff are friendly and great fun, nothing is too much trouble.
Breakfast is very good (omelettes especially) with great choice of healthy and not so healthy, the one think I will say is that the food under the hot lamps could stand to be a little hotter.
Pool area is has lots of room, 3 pools, the heated one with the jacuzzi is splendid. Lots of smaller sun lounger areas created by clever design so you get the feeling of little private areas. The pool bar is also well worth a visit for lunch, food is excellent as is the service.
Location of the hotel is spot on, 1 minutes walk to the main road to the resort centre which is lined with bars, shops and resturants.
The beach (85 metres away) is fantastic, its a busy spot so great for people watching and on a large bay so not over crowded, from here you can walk along the waters edge all the way into the harbour and lots of fish restaurants and tapas bars.
Will be going here again.
