We stayed at this hotel over the Christmas period. I give the hotel full marks for everything. The check in was very efficient and we were in our room within minutes. The room was lovely, very clean and had the best array of complimentary toiletries I have ever seen. The mini bar was also extremely well stocked. The pool area was lovely and once again clean. We ate in the pool bar most days and the food there was very well done. The restaurant was also excellent, a very good choice and excellent service. The hotel has three bars, the lobby bar which is perfect for people watching whilst having a little tipple (or a big tipple). The entertainment lounge is also very good, the entertainment on Christmas day was excellent, the atmosphere was the best I have come accross on an Xmas holiday, this is due to the staff and the excellent way the hotel is run. The last bar is the pool bar which also rates high. Some would consider the hotel to be quite expensive, the drinks are, but it is worth the little extra.

Having just come back from this hotel, and having stayed there 2 years ago, I can only say I will not be going back again. After the fiasco christmas eve meal. You could not get to other items of food for the long line of people, this line was for turkey. I estimate the average time to get served would be 30-45 minutes, and then they ran out gravy. After having a stand up row with the manager he informed me i was imagining things. The staff and the hotel are fine but corners have been cut in dining area, and we will not be coming BACK. Having stayed here in Sep 2007 when it was the Atlantis Palace and this time The Blue Bay Palace. All I can say is there has been NO big changes really,a few old faces have gone but its still a great hotel..So what shall I write about. How about some tips and places I found for a pleasant night out.
Hotel Food...Is still very good..something for everyone
Night Club...Entertainment has improved
Reception Bar...Nice and relaxing but can be too quiet, like a doctors surgery
Pool Bar...perfect for that afternoon cooling drink

Like a lot of reviewers have said the towel on the sunbed crowd are rife at this hotel.I feel its cause lots of the beds are in nice but shaded positions,so the rush is to get those "all day sun" beds, which is around the childrens pool area mainly.

just outside the hotel theres a nice place to eat called "The Caste" very good meals at good prices
Come out the hotel and walk to main street and turn left 100 yards up on right another nice bar called "Retro Bar" very clean and good prices
Theres a new shopping complex being built so over the next 12 months there should be more bars to relax in.
So all in all yes I enjoyed my stay and will be back one day

We (English male 43 & English female 30.) stayed at the Blue Bay Palace from 8-15th November 2008. The rooms were spotlessly cleaned every day. The staff were helpfull, but not instrusive. Choice & quality of buffet food was very good. Pool area was quiet. Of the 3 pools, one is unheated and pretty cold, but this just wakes you up a little. The hotel is surprisingly quiet being @ 300 yds from the main strip in Corralejo with its plenty of bars, restaurants & shops. I checked out the other quality hotels (The two Ruis & the Bahia Real) in the area before we committed to this one, and think the Blue Bay offered better value for money.

Me and my wife stayed for one week in November and had a really enjoyable stay.

Rooms are large, clean and comfortable.

Food was very good, plenty of choice for both breakfast and dinner. Corralejo has lots of restaurants to each in such as chinese, indian, spanish, mexican etc however some were not that good.

Pools were a bit chilly, plenty of sun loungers.

Plenty of bars in Corralejo with live music each night. Some typical british type pubs, however this is usual in my experience no matter were you go.

Weather was generally good however did have clouds each day either at the beginning or afternoon.

Hotel in great location, 5 mins to main stretch of bars, restaurants, beach and shops.

Overall we had a lovely stay at the hotel and in the resort.

Visited this hotel in OCT 2008
Found the reception staff not very helpfull untill I asked to see the manager.Requested a high floor with pool view, on arrival was allocated a ground floor room with no view. The food was by far the worst I have had in a four star hotel, on the last evening the show cooking was hamburger and frankfurter sausage. Despite the rules people were leaving towels on loungers for hours on end. To sum up in my opinion this hotel is not worthy of 4 stars.

Having read tripadviser a quartet of 50 somethings embarked on a holiday here, rooms were spotless without the usual noise in the corridors, bedding and towels changed on a regular basis, plenty of bathroom accessories provided and refilled. Food we found catered for all needs ranging from smoked salmon and sparkling wine for breakfast to themed country nights for evening meals. The waitors removed dirty plates with a speed which was pleasing and drinks when ordered were bought to the table instantly. The pool itself was cool but the jacuzzi at 4pm ( 37 degrees ) was most welcoming along with a sauna before evening meals. An observation rather than criticism was there is only one draught beer in all of the three bars that being San Miguel. The entertainment we found usually finished at 10-30pm and the obligatory karokee till 12 was sometimes hit or miss, but as stated in previous reviews alot of good entertainment in the town especially 7 pints and the Rock bar. Went Lanzarote for a day or put it this way 3 hours money better spent elsewhere.
