“a wounderful place to stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 August 2013

we have just returned from a week here and i have to say it was great. The rooms are large plush and spotless the bus service is great (bus stop right outside) in either direction and very cheap. The view from the rooms is lovley looking out over the swimming pool and the harbour you can see all the fishing boats going out. The staff are very friendly. The food was very good but a bit expensive but the restarant next door was just as good but alot cheaper i had a glass of wine and it must have held half a bottle. We would go back here in a heart beat cannot think of any bad things to say about this place. We have stayed in alot of 4 and 5 star hotels but this is up with the best. For a cheap transfer from the airport get the 91 service bus and get off at the 3rd stop in Arguineguin it will only cost you 5 euros each and you will be on the doorstep of the hotel.

Just returned from here. The room we had was a studio room, but was by no means small! Had two large double beds, kitchen area and massive bath in room . The sperate tiolet had a large shower which you could sit in.Whole room was mirrors and marble. Very plush. Staff were very friendly in all areas. Place was kept spotlessly clean.
You can even get a bus to and from the airport arriving just across the road ( bit of a dodgy spot admittedly , as you have to dash across main rd, and definately not one for in the dark with cases)
leaving nearly outside door to return. There are many places you can visit using the various buses that stop. A must is Maspalomas for shopping and the beautiful beach and dunes. Peurto Rico is also gifted with a golden sandy beach and great for bars and restaurants in the evening. Only just over 5 euros by taxi so not even worth waiting for the bus. Market in Arguineguin is on Tuesday, head towards port. There is also Market in Mogan. Also lovely beach and restaurants. Recommend if you go to latter( on Friday) take the " Salmon ferry" there as they sell ferry and bus ticket combined. Go by boat and back by bus ( re usable ticket. This way you can be on the right side of the road to experience the excitement of seeing just how near the edge of the road you are and high up!
Went to Las Palmas but didn't enjoy. Too many trendy shops and not our thing..
So despite our 20 hour delay on way out. ..Small Planet Airlines... beware you have been warned, the holiday was great

Stayed a week in May, wonderful hotel, we wanted a week to chill out and relax, this offered it. The room was one bedroom with a balcony with the uninterrupted view of the sea, across to the port. It was always kept clean and was well equipped. We found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful. We ate in the restaurant on site twice and can thoroughly recommend the pizza and the Steak is the best we have eaten.....ever. The pool area was lovely, although they could do with more umbrellas for the sunbeds, but that was the only small down point. We hired a car and visited the islands other beaches and went into the mountains, would recommend a car to get around the island. Location was lovely and quiet, not touristy. Would recommend.

Just back from staying at this hotel. We used a resort hoppa to transfer from the airport. Found this method a sooth process and efficient. Reception is manned 24 hrs and we were greeted in a warm and friendly fashion. Our case was taken too our allocated room and we were shown the apartment that we were to occupy for the next 7 days. Absolutely delighted with the high standards. Immediately to the left of the door was the bathroom, all marble flooring and the shower was designed so you could sit down if necessary. Only drawback was no bathmat for when you step out of the shower as found to be slippy. We improvised putting a hand towel down. The bedroom was large with fitted wardrobes with sliding doors. Plenty of hangers for clothes and plenty of shelving. On the rhs was 2 drawers then a shelf where the safe was located, this didn't want to work when we were shown but was resolved by 10 am the next morning. Above another shelf a new portable tv which was able to take usb sticks as the hotel holds a number of films to watch which we used on a number of occasions. The kitchen/living room is very functual, kitchen had a full size fridge freezer, dishwasher, kettle, coffee machine, toaster, electrical juicer, etc. There was a small dining table which we hardly used as there was a table and 4 chairs on the balcony. There was a large settee in the living opposite a large new tv which also took usb's. An iron and ironing board was also located for use. On the balcony was a fixed clothes line which extended for use. The view from the balcony was brilliant, sea view unspoilt with aprox 170 degree scope from the harbour and pier to the other headland. We were supplied on our first night with complimentary water, coffee, tea, sugar, milk, crackers and cava. We were also supple with towel robes, lounge towels for the pool. These were not changed during the holiday but the bath towels and hand towels were. The room was cleaned daily. The pool itself is a saltwater pool but did observe it being cleaned on a couple of occasions. The standard of cleanliness Is too a high standard and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. One of the bar staff even looked up the caves of the aborigine canarian's. The resort itself was more reflective of local canarian's and not as man made as some of the other tourist locations. Even Spanish people came to holiday there. Bus service was frequent and our mode of transport to Las Palmas for the day but it's a lot cooler on the north of the island and ended up buying a t-shirt and jacket but well worth the visit to the old quarter. We visited the beaches around the resort and found to be different from one to the next. A lot of locals use the beach at the far side of Arguineguin near to where the weekly market is held. We were able to visit Soria in the mountains and Guadeuque (caves homes) via Aguimes. Well worth visiting but not available by bus transport. If wanting to visit some of the inland locations would recommend hiring a car or going via a local tour guide. Weather is one of the attractions for us to Gran Canaria and didn't disappoint. Would highly recommend this hotel

Although we never heard of this fishing village, we decided to stay at Club Puerto Atlantico.
Our apartment had just been refurbished and had everything we needed. When we
could not get the balcony door to work the manager came up with us.
Restaurant Rossini has lovely food and the steak in the Steakhouse were the best ever and
we have been to lots of very good restaurants.

Room Tip: We were in a 1 bedroom appartment, but we saw the 2 bedroom apartments have very big balconies.

Stayed here for a week in half term with my husband. Lovely hotel, gorgeous room, wonderfully helpful staff, particularly the guy on reception, the young boy out front promoting the restaurant and the waitresses. Only one tiny point was that the pool was freezing, but then again it was only February. Location great. Close enough to Puerto Rico if you wanted more of a Brit feel but lovely tavernas close by if you just wanted to chill. Can't wait to go back
