Arriving at 10 in the morning our room was not ready, we were told by the receptionist. He was very friendly, speaking good German and English (we are Dutch), took care of our luggage and we could use the All In formula from the moment of checking in.
The room they gave us was not the one we booked; in stead of an apartment for 4 with sea view and balcony, we had the executive suite and it was amazing: the largest bathroom we ever saw, with enormous double sink, double Jacuzzi and very large walk in rain shower. The living/bedroom was one of huge sizes, with king size bed, 2 sofa's and al the furniture you could wish, and a large flat screen television. But be aware: no balcony and hardly sea view, but the noise of lorries and trucks loading and unloading underneath your window, from 6.30 in the early morning instead. We chose to stay in that suite because of the luxury, using ear plugs, but if the views and peace are important to you, you should insist to get the room you booked.
We enjoyed our stay at Dorado Beach: the food was okay, we loved the fresh orange juice at breakfast. At lunch and diner always freshly prepared fish and meat. The wine was okay and so were the other drinks. We use to travel to Egypt and Turkey and were surprised by the fact that in this hotel we had to find our room and take our luggage there by ourselves. In the restaurant and bars we had to get our own drinks and food and serve ourselves. Even in the main restaurant we had to collect our forks, knives, glasses and napkins. But you get used to it and you never have to wait for the waiter to bring you another drink. The hotel and the rooms are very clean. The spa is so beautiful and comes with the All Inclusive! Wifi in our room did not work properly, but there was a free computer room with Apple computers almost next to our room. The pool was nice and warm and there always were enough sunbeds. The guests were 70% Norwegian, the rest German, Belgian and Dutch. We made nice walks along the beach to Anfi. That place is beautiful, but we also loved the little village of Arguineguin.

Room Tip: Beware of studios that have no sea or pool view. They have street view or worse: view to an alley wi...

We were visiting family in the area where this hotel is located so was ideal for our stay.
As soon as we arrived we felt welcome, with the wrist bands on we headed for the room, first impressions WoW what a view the balcony had the most amazing view of the sun going down along with the sun hitting it around 10am.
We hit the restaurant to find a large selection of drinks an even larger selection of foods and the staff were all smiling and eager to help.
The pool was large with two bubble pools, the gym very clean and a nice selection of machines, the spa area was more than ample with more than the usual uses and more I would recommend the Dead Sea pool and full body bubble spa.
The snack bar was very useful when you don't want to have a full lunch and has a nice range of snacks and drinks along with ice creams.
Every member of staff all smiled and says hello when the pass this to me makes all the difference and makes a hotel.
One down side the lack of cold water if you need a cold shower :-(

I would highly recommend a stay here .

Room Tip: If you can get room 220 219 221 amazing views

Have just returned from a 28 day holiday in this fabulous hotel.
Our welcome receptionist checked us in quickly & efficiently & throughout the holiday was able to help us with his expert knowledge whenever we asked for it nothing was too much trouble for him. The room was clean & kept that way all through the holiday with a smile. Food was excellent also with lots of happy workers some of them could multitask from waitress to bar to cooking even as lifeguard very impressive. The Animation girls were brilliant & made peoples holiday a very happy one, entertainment every night either shows or dance & the animation girls did their own show night they are both good dancers & so enjoy what they do.The outdoor pool was heated which you don't get very often in the Canaries, a Spa in the basement & a gym.The bar girls were happy & even remembered your drinks before you asked . It would be very hard to pick an employee of the month in this hotel as there were so many of them. A credit to the management for having such happy & willing workers.
Would recommend this hotel & Arguinegan is a lovely resort plenty of coastal walks frequent bus service to other resorts & supermarkets local shops & a big weekly market.

We have found our hotel in Arguineguin. The trip in December 2013 was our 4th visit. It has a fantastic view, nice rooms and "everything" in the breakfast buffet. But the best of all: the Fitness department - warmed-up pools with all kinds of massage treatments - a "dead-sea pool" - and if you want some cold pools (even with snow - no, thanks, we have enough in Norway!). After - you might relax in warm water-beds - just wonderful !

Room Tip: Ask for bed-rooms to the sea - to avoid the traffic

Perfect holiday. We travelled as a group of 8 and we all loved it from start to finish. The staff are incredible, so friendly, helpful and happy. The food is good (not great, but good), there is a good selection of drinks (soda, beer, wine and a selection of cocktails are self-serve during the day, which is great!), the pool and spa is awesome, the rooms are good size and the view from the balconies are amazing. We travelled with a two year old and she was super-happy the whole time. There was a good selection of food for her and the playground is great. Kids are allowed in the spa before noon, so we started the day there, after breakfast and then moved outside and spent some time in the kids pool and the big pool. Whilst enjoying the sun, it is really easy to get drinks, snacks and food from the beach bar, as much of it is self serve and the staff are always serving with a smile. It is worth mentioning the housekeepers in this place, as they are the happiest people I have ever seen. There is a kids disco on at 8pm every evening (which is a little late for a 2 year old, but her sleep routine adapted to holiday mode as soon as we got there, so it was fine). The evening entertainment was not really to my taste, but it didn't matter. Having a young child, we spent a lot of evenings on our balcony, which was actually incredibly nice. We had a room with a view of the ocean and it was amazing, so tranquil. The gala dinner on xmas day and NYE was great, really good food and service with a smile. Temperature at this time was fab, around 22 degrees in the day and 16 at night. We will certainly be back, no doubt.

Room Tip: It is worth getting a room with a sea or pool view.

This is our second stay at this hotel, last year we stayed for New Year and this year we have just come back from having christmas there. Once again we have had a brilliant holiday, all the staff at the hotel are welcoming, friendly and helpful. There is always plenty of choice for food and a good stocked bar we really cannot fault this hotel, the resturant just flows freely the food tureens are permanently being refilled, food areas wiped and cleaned it really is a credit. The Housekeeping staff are amazing keeping the rooms and the whole of the hotel public area's spotless. Well done to the hotel staff and managment - we certainly hope to be returning for New Year this year. Also thanking you for the lovely Christmas greeting and present....

Room Tip: lower floor overlooking pool have fantastic view

have just returned this week from an awesome 5 nights at this hotel with my family (all 7 adults) and cannot praise it enough. Decided to take a break to some sunshine to give my daughter and son-in-law some respite from the awful Scottish weather as they were visiting for Christmas from Australia. We checked-in early evening on first night and, after seeking out the buffet restaurant to refuel, we walked around the hotel to have a look and could not believe how amazing the hotel was. Myself and my husband tend to stay at mainly 4 and 5 star hotels when we travel ourselves but as we were paying for everyone this 3 star all inclusive hotel came up very reasonably priced and I advised everyone beforehand not to expect too much as it was only for a short break. How wrong was I. Everywhere we went we were blown away - our rooms were huge, each with double sofa bed in lounge area and 2 twin beds in bedroom area and what a view overlooking the sparkling pool and sea. There is a rooftop sunbathing area " the solarium "with a jacuzzi, sunbeds and 2 hammocks with breathtaking views over the entire area. There is also a lovely deck area along from reception again with amazing views to sit in the evening. The icing on the cake was the spa in the hotel - unbelievable and the pictures on the website do not do it justice. Fabulous pool, salt water floating area, sunbeds, massage bed, water beds and very well equipped gym (all free of charge) . We all took major advantage of the spa while we were there and if you timed it well you could have the entire place to yourself (we travelled winter may be very different in peak summer months) . The entire staff are amazing at this hotel - especially the entertainment team (Christina and Astrid) who work timelessly during the day with pool games to keep adults happy as well as with the kids club activities and evening entertainment. The rooms are kept spotless with daily cleaning and making up of beds and all throughout the hotel you always see someone cleaning something. The food and drink worth every penny all inclusive (only disadvantage is you tend to over eat and drink) you certainly would never go hungry with breakfast, lunch, snacks at the pool and dinner all amazing choice and quality. Really impressed with this little gem of a hotel and definitely think it deserves much more than its 3 star status. The surrounding area was very quiet - one way takes you along the coast to the little fishing village of Arguineguin which was lovely and quaint with a weekly market. The other direction from the hotel takes you along the coast to the Anfi Beach timeshare resort which was very upmarket, not really for the less mobile as you have to negotiate some rocky paths but lovely walk if you can manage it, Puerto Rico is further along the coast in this direction. However, few people would want to stray far from the hotel anyway as it has everything to hand. Our Australian relatives had an amazing holiday, they have stayed in quite a few hotels in europe the past month and this little hotel beats them all hands down. Thank you Dorado Beach, we will return.

Room Tip: all rooms have amazing views but ask for one high up - less noise from kitchen in morning.
