“Wonderful family-run pension”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 August 2011

Room was small, but cozy and ultra clean, carefully furnished. Every room has its own balcony. Balconies facing the street has different coloured decorating glasses (depends on floor), that looks very funny. The hotel located at the quiet street, but just a walking distance away to restaurants, cafes and walking and shopping streets. It is just 5 to 10 minutes walking distance to the beach, depending on how fast do you generally walk.

The staff, and personally the host (he talks English and Deutsch), was very friendly and helpful. Everything was good except some minor issues: 1) pillows were comfortable, but small; 2) at the balcony there were two chairs, but there was no table; and 3) the breakfast was very basic, the coffee was not as strong as it ought to be, the orange juice wasn't 100% natural. Howerer, the pastry was good, WiFi worked OK, towels generally had been changed every day.

Very good price-to-quality ratio in a busy beach town like Calella. Highly recommended for everyone looking for a small, quiet and cozy accomodation not far from the beach.

Very clean with a decent sized room and ours had a private balcony, which was convenient for hanging out our towels & swimwear. The place was down a quiet side street & had a locked car park (extra cost) under cover, across the road. Convenient location for the beach, restaurants, and shops. Wi fi, air conditioning and good breakfast included in the room rate. Calella was a nice town, not too touristy. Bars on the beach at night. One way streets made it confusing for the GPS & us to find.

a superb family run b and b in an excellent location in calella -recently modernised to a high standard nothing is too much trouble for the owners from airport pick-ups, tickets for barcelona football games, the spanish grand prix and they provide the pleasantest of welcomes in their adjoining bar -the breakfast ,with toast individually prepared and a wide cold and hot selection of food ,is excellent and there is a wide variety of different restaurants within walking distance for the evening meal .The owner ,who is nearly fluent in several languages, has a great sense of humour and is wonderful company and everyone i have recommended to use his pension as a base has been delighted with it.

Well situated for the restaurants and shopping in Calella, rooms beautifully clean, with all amenities. Very good value, delightfull buffet breakfast serving fruit, cereals, cold meats and cheese, fully cooked breakfast, pastries, and bread tea, coffee and juice. Made all the more special by the proprietors, we were immediately made to feel at home. Underground secure parking available for 8 euros per night. Bar area with a mix of locals and hotel clientelle with reasonable prices. Andreas was a fountain of knowledge advising us not to take the car to Barcelona but pick up the train which is a 10 min walk from the Hotel, which took just over an hour to Barcelona and ran along the coast. We spent three days at the Hotel and wished we had booked longer, Thank you to Andreas his wife and Brother for a wonderful break
