Aparthotel Miami Park quietly located a short walk both from main Street (N-111) and Restaurants and shops as well as the Train and Beach. Welcoming staff who speaks English,. Self Catering, but it is possible to buy Breakfast buffet and Dinner. Nice Pool area.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the Pool-area.

We recently spent 7 nights at the Aparthotel Miami Park. 2 Adults and 2 kids booked into their one bedroom apartment. We requested a high floor, facing the pool and got exactly that, on the 3rd floor facing the pool. The room suited our needs perfectly. The layout is a little unusual in that you enter through the door, the bathroom is immediately to the left or right and you then walk through the bedroom area to the sitting room with additional sofa bed. The bedroom is sectioned off from the sitting room by a concertina type door. Access to the balcony is through the sitting room which worried us slightly as the children were sleeping on the sofa beds and we were concerned slightly about them getting acess to the balcony. However this didn't cause a problem. The balcony doors lock on closing and can only be opened when the catch is depressed. Beware though because if you shut the door from outside on the balcony the lock will activate and you'll get stuck outside. We noticed that rooms on the road side of the hotel, have a seperate bedroom and access to the balcony through the sitting room and a seperate access through the bedroom.

We were self catering at the hotel and didn't sample the food, however we noticed plenty of guests were here on a half board basis. The hotel is well located for food shopping, turning left outside the hotel and walking for a couple of minutes brings you to a Bon Preu supermarket, walking a minute or two further brings you to a Spar Supermarket which is much cheaper for the majority of items. Turning right out of the hotel and walking up to the main road for about 5 minutes, brings you to a huge supermaket with everything you'll need in it.

The staff at the Miami Park, are polite and helpful. The bar is well priced approximately 3 Euros for a pint. And there are kids activities and other guest activities arranged through the hotel. During the day there are arranged guided walks, or kayaking and even a foam fest party on the beach (these are all on different days). In the afternoons there is a small kids club by the pool where the kids can get together for activities and drawing. Each night, except for Saturday there is a kids mini disco at 20.30 followed by another activity at 21.30. When we were there they had pool competitions, bingo and a clown night (this was very funny). Activities are also advertised for their sister hotel the Miami across the road and guests can also got there for evening entertainment.

Calella is a lovely little resort and the Aparthotel Miami Park is well located for guest to be able to explore this lovely little town. A couple of minutes walk from the hotel is the main shopping street, which is huge and shops stay open until 22.00. It's lovely to take a walk down here after dinner and see all the locals out and about chatting in the street. There is a newer, more tourist orientated area to Calella about 15 minutes walk away where a host of restaurants can be found.

The beach is a 5 minute walk from the hotel and because the train line seperates the town from the beach there are designated crossing areas. The beach is nice but is coarse shingle, which took a little getting used to. As people have pointed out the sea drops quickly so you're quite quickly out of your depth. This drop causes some slight undercurrents at the shoreline but my kids quite quickly realised that if they swam through the breakwater the sea was lovely and calm a little further out. In fact they loved the waves on the shore line and spent many hours playing by the waters edge.

We loved Calella for many reasons, for it's location (close to airport) for it's beaches, for it's cost effectivness and for it's ability to combine beautiful Catalan culture with a lovely tourist resort. We hope to come back to Calella soon and would also stay at the Aparthotel Miami Park.

Just back from two weeks in the Miami, in one of their 1 bedroom apartments. Have to say we were very impressed. Things we liked - 1) Great location in a quiet corner of the old town, 5 mins from the station and 3 to the high street 2) Big clean rooms, with two different access to the balcony, so as not to disturb the kids 3) Friendly and helpful staff and best 4) Children's entertainment, in which Romy did a brilliant job entertaining the children for hours and hours in a great program of activities. Slighty negative was the breakfast, which we would have like to see more variation (i.e fresh fruit).

It was a good hotel with friendly staff .
Very fine location , you just have to through the street to find the station and the beach. A shopping street + restaurants are even closer .
The only thing I didn't like that much was that you had to use the key-card as key for electricity , so when you left the airconditioning went off and also things you were charging.

We (Mum, Dad, Daughter - 17 and Son - 16) stayed here 08-08-12 to 16-08-12 on a self-catering basis. It's a well run hotel. Nice pool area with plenty of loungers plus tables under large parasols available for all to us. Reasonably priced drinks and food in the bar / restaurant area with 2 pool tables and some video games in situ for the younger ones to use. Our room was clean and spacious. The air-con was fantastic and we'd have struggled to sleep in the heat without it. A standard sized Fridge and an electric double Hob ring were provided although ideally a small Oven would also have been nice! A daily maid service ensured fresh towels and toilet paper were available to us if we required them. The staff were friendly and helpful. The beach (it's lovely) is a 10-minute walk away with plentiful shops, bars and restaurants in reach just a few minutes away from the hotel. The origin of the guests seemed to be a mix of German, Spanish, French, British and Dutch - probably in this order! We'd recommend this hotel to our friends and family.

Room Tip: Ask for a room where the balcony overlooks the pool - the ones that overlook the surrounding streets...

just back from a weeks holiday here with my 15 year old son and my 6 year old girl and my wife.
firstly the apartment was lovely and very spacious with a balcony overlooking the pool. it was cleaned regularly with towels replaced also. the air conditioning was brilliant. the pool was a lovely size and never any problems getting seats. all of the staff were excellent including the owner and all seemed genuinely concerned in giving you the best service possible. a special mention must go to the girl who runs all the activities including the mini club and the nightly mini discos which my little girl loved.
we went half board the food was lovely but the choice was very limited - 2 main courses 2 starters plus soup, same desserts every night. the breakfast choice was the same everyday.
this is a very quiet hotel with a security guard patrolling every night from 11.30 onwards. there were a lot of 17-18yr old dutch kids here celebrating their final school exams but we didnt hear any great amount of noise from them any night - although some other guests seemed to have done so.
the hotel is only a 5 min easy walk from beach and from the train station. be aware to wear sandals on this beach the sand particles are quite large and tough on the soles of the feet.
the hotels staff ran a surf party for the kids on the beach which my little girl loved. also an excellent barbecue on one night.
the main shopping street nearby which brings you on a 15 min stroll into old town centre - this is a genuinely catalonian town with beautiful old buildings and architecture not an artificial resort.
the one knock back for me was with their vigilance with security at night there was rarely anybody in the bar after 11pm where i do enjoy a pint or 2 when on holidays.
the entertainment was good , especially the clown who all of us found hilarious. the magician was great to get everyone involved. 2 of the nights entertainment took place in the sister hotel miami across the road but the guy on the microphone ruined it for us as even when he spoke english you couldnt understand him.
overall we loved this hotel and were very well looked after and felt at the price it was great value for money.

Room Tip: look for a room with a pool view. others face out into street

This accommodation was fantastic for the price. Although basic it is very clean our apartment was serviced daily with clean towels, the staffs were very hospitable to us and the pool was great and we never had to reserve sun beds as there was plenty to go around.
It is about 500m from the main beach, the beach itself was not the best for kids as it was not the kind of sand you can build sand castles with and the Sea became deep within about 3m from the shore line.
The main tourist part of Calelle was about 1.5km away and this was where the majority of good bars and restaurants were located. It was nice walk to get there walking down the main street.
We booked our holiday through lowcostholidays.com the service we received from them was good. However the transfer from and to the Hotel by ResortHoppa was appalling. The driver got lost spoke no English, lost a suitcase and after about 1hr 45 minutes on the bus with no air conditioning we decided to get off and get a taxi to our resort, our return trip wasn’t much better. We waited over 45mins for the bus to arrive and then on our way to the airport the bus drivers phone rang as he had forgotten to pick up a family and so we had to turn round! I know it is more expensive to transfer via taxi but in my opinion worth the money you will spend half the day on a bus when you should be by the pool.
Enjoy
