I had seen reviews for this restaurant on Trip Advisor prior to our trip to Cambrils and we walked past it a couple of times, debating whether to go there or not for an evening meal. However, we wandered past early this afternoon and decided to give it a try.
We are only very basic Spanish speakers - something we mean to remedy - but the waiting staff were brilliant and put us at our ease, so we all managed to understand each other in the end. We chose baked cod and asked for advice on a good white wine to go with it. I can only say that the cod dish was fabulous, cooked to perfection, and it's a long time since l've had a better bottle of wine. We both had lovely desserts - my husband being gently teased over his choice, which could comfortably have fed four people! Added to that, three delicious appetizers, tasty freshly baked bread which was very handy in soaking up the delicious sauce that covered the cod, and tiny glasses of pear poached in wine with cream, with coffee to finish, we had pretty much the perfect meal and afternoon, never once feeling rushed.
