Booked with Falcon travel. Booked a one-bedroom, were offered a two-bed but opted for the one-bedroomed. Why? Well, the complex is arranged in 6 apartment blocks. Blocks 1 and 2 are adjacent to a railway line; blocks 3 and 4 are the other side of the pool adjacent to the street. Blocks 1 to 4 may be best for people with kids (easy to keep an eye on them in the pool). On the other side of this street right beside the beach are blocks 5 and 6 which contain the one-bedroomed apartments. It is great to be able to walk out of the block onto the wide and clean beach. Note: Reception is open only from 9a.m. to 8 p.m. This could cause a problem - a) because the safe deposit boxes are in reception, b) occasionally the magnetic keys have been known to fail and access to reception is required to reprogram (this happened once to us, fortunately during the reception open time, but happened to our neighbours after-hours). Quite good facilities in the area - 3 bar/ restaurants on ground floor of blocks and a poolside snack bar. Also try Popey's bar/restaurand a few metres from Block 6 Good bus service to Cambrils, Salou, Barcelona etc. with stops close to apartments. Internet wifi was installed in the complex during our stay (€12 per week)

Room Tip: Block 6 rooms 117-123 and 217-223 face the beach

Stayed for one week, found apartment to be clean and good with excellent air conditioning which we needed in the very hot week - staff really helpful and although other comments have remarked about room not being serviced and the towels, and having to make up the beds!!! this is a self catering apartment which we got at a very good price for the week - if you have self catering in the UK you don't get this sort of service. Any way we had our towels changed, all you need to do is go to reception and ask. Apartments in a great location very close to beach and excellent pool and life guard. Has TV that gets some UK channels. Reasonably priced supermarket just outside with bakery baking fresh bread/bageuttes everyday and a good selection of bars and restuarants nearby, Good value in O'Driscolls and Mucky Duck, also used Popeyes bar which allowed you to sit and look at beach and watch the world go by - particularly liked the Chinese (Holland Asia Wok) great all you can eat buffet cooked fresh for you from a choice of ready prepared food which you choose to make up any type of dish you want - very good value 12.50 euros each, includes fresh fruit and selection of ice cream etc. Blocks I & 2 are close to railway line (Trains not to much of an issue for us) Medium sized apartments - we stayed in block 3 ( blocks 3 & 4 are the larger 2/3 bed ones) 5 & 6 are over the road and overlook the beach but are the one bedded ones. Food and drink in complex reasonably priced and ok - Mucky Duck bar also is owed by the complex. Cambrils excellent place to visit - more expensive though - Good restuarant that does 3 course set lunch menu 13.90 euros - great sea food Called Marina I think?. If using bus buy T10 card from Tabac gives 10 journeys (multi personell) 11 euros which works out cheaper than individual ones - can buy ones that do more eg 20 for 20 euros.

Just returned from a 10 day stay in Pins Platja. Very clean one bedroom apartment (322) overlooking the beach. Lovely to sit on the balcony in the evening and wa tch the world go by. The location was great set between Salou and Cambrils. Salou very busy but Cambrils was lovely. You can hire bikes at reception (across road) and cycle to Cambrils for dinner. It takes about 20 mins on cycle lane. Only down side was rubbish not collected and had to be placed in bins accross the road. Lovely restaurants along the beach walk. Can get a bus to Tarragona which stops just beside Parc Central shopping centre. Bus takes about 45 mins.

we jut back today , we stayed for 5 night and that was enough, the hotel is set up in 6 sperate blocks, 4 are set around the pool which is a good size , 2 of which are behind a train track , the other to are over looking the beach , we stayed in one of these block 5, we had a room on the 1 t floor , our balcony did over look the beach which was one of the best things about the room, the other was the fact we had bbc 1 , bbc 3 ,as well as bbc news and eurosport. the apartment was just big enough for the 2 of u , i would nt recommend for a family of 4 , it was very basic, a micowave, 2 electric rings a fridge, they did supply pans etc, but a kettle was 12 eruos for a wk, and so was a toaster, yet in the cupboard was an iron?? why was that free?? the safe was 20 eruos and in the reception area which was only open 9-1 4-8 , cos it was low season. the bed room was twin beds and a large built in wardrope which had loads of coat hangers, the beds were very uncompy, and the window faced into the building , at night it was very noisey with people coming in and the light s coming on every min . bathroom was ok , shower head over the bath, good lights over the mirror , you can rent a hair dryer of about 12 eruo , they give you a bag of towels , and bed sheets and 1 toliet roll , when you check in , we never had a change of towels , so i cant say how often you get clean ones.
below are aparement was the pub called the rugby taven, which was open 9- midnight, they served food which was typical british , next door was the ugly duck , which was just the same, across the road was a supermarket for the essentials, round the area was more restuarnts and pubs but a lot was closed due to the season ending.the beach was nice and clean .
you will need to get a bus pass if you stay here as it is a long walk eveyday to salou, you can only get the passes from the tobacco shops, 10 euros gets you 10 bus trips, so you can go port advenue for the same price as salou , if you dont get one of these cards you will be throwing your money away , as it will cost you 8 eruos , for 2 of you to go to salou and back.
if you plan on just using the room as a base to keep your suitcase , and come in a silly o clock and are a heavy sleeper, then this hotel maybe for you , we found it very expensive as a self catering holiday , we wont be doing it again
do not go theme park at wkend if you do expect to wait 2-3 hrs per ride!!! we went back on monday and waited round 20-40 mins , i have been to floida and these rides were rubbish, hugely let down, if you do want to go , we got are tickets from the hut on the beach in salou , we paid 44 eruo and got 2 nd day free, defo recommend buyin them from here as every were else we seen it offerd was 69 eruos,

arrived and check in good and quick.rooms clean but no cleaners or towels after arrival.were told there was 24 hour reception but this wasnt the case either.everything in the complex closed except the pool and all sunbeds locked away and they wouldnt take them out for people so you had to sit on the ground at pool.this wasnt mentioned on there website when booking.finally two out of four apartments were broken into and everything stolen suitcases were packed and locked for going home and they were cut in half with a knife.no damage to doors of apartments though.on reporting this staff were not abit of help didnt even come to look at the damage done.wiil never return.

stayed here for 4 nights the end of aug as a last minute break before school resumed. got a good price on alpha rooms. appartment 1 bedroom, was basic, but clean. a 2 ring hob, microwave. no oven. bring your own travel kettle. air conditioning in the kitchen living room. we a sea front appartment on the 2nd floor. with a modest balcony. the beach is not overcrowded in this area. it is actually villafortuny, between cambrils and salou. there is 2 bars downstairs, the mucky duck and the rugby tavern and the food is ok and reasonable. across the road, there is two more blocks in the complex and the pool is situated there. the metropolis bar has entertainment every night in season and there is food served late. the supermarket is across the road which will cater for all your requirements. the bus stop is just metres away, which will bring you into cambrils or salou for €1.40. buses run regularly. this accomodation is basic, but the location beside the lovely beach which is not crowded more than makes up for it, i will return again. perfect for families. request a seafront location. a returnable deposit of 120 euro required
