these apartments are set over many different blocks so the you might not get the ones in the picture!!! our block had a mixture of holiday makers and residential although i think we were the only holiday makers there!! the pool had no sun loungers? it was over run with local children running around, screaming until early hours (1 - 2 AM!!) there is no kettle in the room despite being self catering and they do not supply or rent them out. 10 minute walk from the beach which does drop dramatically into the sea, so not ideal for young families!! you go from ankle high to waist high in one step!!!! the lotus apartments charge a deposit of 50 euros per person for breakages and 20 euros for bedding which they give to you in a blue rubbish bag and point you on your way to the apartment! you also have to ensure the apartment is thoroughly clean before you leave or they charge a fee off your deposit!!!
on a brighter note the apartments are big and spacious with lovely balconies, you also get a washing machine!!!!

As a single parent, was looking for a cheap and cheerful adventure for me and the kids. This was perfect, very cheap, very clean and an amazing pool for the kids. Beach 5 mins stroll away, great bar on the corner (K.D.s). Would thoroughly recommend this as a family holiday.
One complaint, the bar on site lacked wifi access, there were some PC's available at a euro per 20 mins for internet, but as all the local bars and cafe off a free wifi service this bar needed the same to compete for business.
Happy Mummy and 3 very happy children :)

OH DON'T ASK THE TOURIST INFORMATION FOR INFORMATION, THEY ARE CLUELESS IN BOTH OFFICES! Failed to tell us we were 30 seconds walk from the bus station and which number bus we needed to catch across town...

Reading previous reviews was not sure what to expect. Pleasantly surprised on arrival. Large bar and restuarant area. Room comfortable AND CLEAN. Was put in room with rear view onto half finished building. Staff really helpful and moved to room overlooking wonderfully sized pool. Not a lot of night time activities in resort for kids; and found eating/drinking out to be more expensive than in UK. Overall though would not hesitate in going back to these apartments if ever in Blanes again.

MY WIFE AND I WENT THERE IN SEPT 2008
on a evening flight from manchester .we arrived around 1 am on sunday morning and nobody could be seen there to meet us ..we went to the EUROPA apartments next door and they offered us a room to stay in until we could get intouch with the person from the lotus...she eventually turned up about 9am the following morning with the keys and took us to the apartments ..then she said have you brought your own sheets if not you can rent off me 20 euros (what a joke) ..the apartment was very basic and with a 2*star rating i wouldnt even give it a1* star the kitchen cupboard doors were falling off and the bathroom was a discrace small dirty bath with paint flakeing of the ceiling you don`t even get any towels...there was no kettle in the kitchen no t.v (but you can rent one from us she said) that was the limit...you even had to rent the sunbeds thats if you like sitting around an cold looking empty pool area the evening entertaiment was good though we were right above a disco which was on the ground floor music banging out till all hours of the morning not my idea of a relaxed holiday.... BE WARNED IF YOU BOOK THIS ON A D.I.Y OFF THE INTERNET THE LOTUS CON YOU ..THEY SHOW A PHOTO OF THE 3* EUROPA APARTMENTS which is next door to the lotus

we arrived at nearly midnight, there is no reception and we eventually found a porter who could barely speak english. he told us we were too late and that reception was shut, we showed him paperwork and after a while he agreed to phone someone for us. we waited for about 30 minutes and a woman turned up, she was quite rude, she told us that one of us would have to go with her to their shop (which was a few roads away) and that we had to pay her 100 euros deposit, 40 euros late fee and 20 euros for linen. when we questioned her she said " no pay no key". by the time we got into our room it was nearly 1 am and our children were exhausted but there was worse to come. the room looked like it was still occupied, there were dirty bowls in the sink, full up ashtrays and screwed up bed linen still on the beds, by now we felt totally sick. we phoned her and it took her another 30 minutes to return. we got no apology she just said the cleaners must have forgotten to do the room, she gave us the room next door and acted as if she was doing us a favour because this one was 2 bedroom. this room was clean but there was not even a kettle, no towels, it was just a room. we also found that the swimming pool was shut and that if you wanted to sit round the pool it cost 2 euros for a sunbed per day. we only stayed the one night and that was only because by the time we got our room it was nearly 2 am and our children were so upset and tired. we went to a decent hotel the next morning and thoroughly enjoyed the rest of our holiday. we never got our 20 euros for linen back even though we hadn't used it. the people who run this hotel are absolute money grabbers and don't know a thing about customer care. we later found out that you get charged a late fee if you arrive after 9 pm and also if you arrive on a sunday at any time so please be aware of this if you choose to book here as we were not informed of this.
