Very well organized with extremely clean services and at least a bit of privacy an order with the single plots areas being marked all around by bushes. Spacious parking lot. Well guarded day and night. Also very close to the main beach of Pals, and also great place to bring the mountain bike for some exploration of the surrounding areas. Though very well served within the camping with grocery store, hairdresser, bar, restaurant, rotisserie, pool, game room, dancing area, etc. a car, scooter or bike would be necessary to visit the surrounding town, shops, beach. Even in peak season in August, it felt spacious with room to breath, and well kept. Only complaint is the quality, hours of service and prices of the restaurant. Would come back again!

Stayed for 10 days in a 2 room bedroom comfort holiday home booked through Eurocamp at the end of August 2011 with my partner and my 2 sons (11 and 9). At time of booking I could not get a home with air-conditioning and a deck so opted for aircon, sacrificing the deck. Happy I did as the aircon made life more comfortable. The home is basic but very functional. It was very clean and adequately equipped although a chopping board and potato peeler would be a nice addition. Toilet with shower. Enough storage space in the main bedroom and family areas however the second bedroom wardrobe could do with shelving rather than the hanging space, particularly if you consider that it could sleep 3. Most of the sites are gravel/sand pitches and I did find it a pain with the kids constantly walking in the gravel even though I had banned shoes inside. It wasn’t a big problem though and perhaps me just being fussy. The Eurocamp staff were very helpful and arranged a second BBQ for us to use for vegetarian meals and a request to replace a blown bathroom light bulb was promptly attended to.
The resort is spotless and well maintained. I agree with all the positive comments of previous reviews. This was our first visit to Cypsela and found the staff friendly and everything well maintained. If standards have slipped over the years then this was not evident to us as first timers.
We ate dinner at the restaurant one night and it was average. Nothing special and in line with the prices you would pay for similar out of the resort. We may have eaten there more however one of our party was vegetarian and there was nothing on the menu that was suitable. Tried the chicken restaurant which was good but overall were not too impressed with the quality vs cost of eating out in the area in general.
The laundry service was woeful. I handed in a load of washing (£7.50 for 5kg) and it came back rinsed rather than cleaned. There did not seem to be any machines where we could do our own washing and actually introduce soap into the equation.
WiFi is available for about £23 a week unlimited access. It is not the fastest especially when busy. Staff may tell you it’s only for 1 computer/device but what they mean is you can only log in one device at a time. Worked fine on iPhone and laptop/s.
The pool area is large and we never battled to get a sun lounger. Two life guards that appeared alert were on duty all the time. The only negative was that there are no umbrellas around the pool. There are a few near the diving pool and a shaded area near the kiddies pool but it’s so small that you would have to be up early or be lucky to get a shady spot. Taking your own umbrella into the pool area is not allowed. Spending a day in the heat without some shade, particularly with kids, will almost guarantee a dose of sunburn no matter how much sun cream you apply. There is some shade on the grass but its location is not great for keeping an eye on the kids in the pool.
We did not use the bus to the Cypsela beach as we preferred to explore ourselves. Our favourite beach ended up being Llafranc. A long, sandy, pretty beach with enough rock pools, fishing areas and snorkelling to keep adults and kids amused. Enough restaurants, shops and hotels for food drinks and ice cream and a beach WC. Parking is also easy (just head to wards the beach and you will see it on the right hand side under the trees), costs £2.20 a day and it’s an easy walk to the beach unlike some of the others.
We had a great holiday and would without hesitation recommend Cypsela.

Just returned from an 11 night holiday in Cypsela. What a fantastic campsite. We booked through Kelair. Their mobiles are beautiful, modern and spotlessly clean. Air conditioning (a must in our opinion), as well as wooden decking and bbq are inclusive and Kelair really are very reasonably priced. The couriers were helpful and pleasant. We hired bedding as well as beach towels - would recommend as it means no wet towels have to be carried home!
The site itself was fantastic for us - we love a relaxed, fairly laid back holiday. Our kids loved the swimming pool, particularly jumping off the diving board. Lifeguards were vigilant and in the pool in a flash if they felt there was any difficulty. I was a bit concerned that the kids would miss having waterslides, lazy rivers but this didn't seem to bother them that much. We spent lots of time at the pool, loungers were free and always available. The pool was spotless. There was a crazy golf course, loads of table tennis tables, a tennis court, a bouncy bubble thingy in the middle of the park, basketball court and lots more.
Entertainment seemed to be enjoyable though we went off site on a few evenings and enjoyed a late meal on our decking other evenings so didn't really make that much use of the entertainment. Sky sports available in the bar for those who don't like to miss the footie!
We had a pizza and chips from the onsite takeaway but weren't that impressed - discovered a pizzeria down the road (turn left on leaving the campsite) the night before we left but as we had already eaten didn't sample their food, though prices seemed reasonable enough.
The toilets and showers in the blocks are immaculate - the boys of the family tended to go there to shower while the girls made use of the great shower in the mobile home (just to speed things up when we were getting ready). There seemed to be an attendant at each block all day.
The onsite supermarket is competively priced though we did large shops in Lidl. We would recommend car hire to get out and about as the surrounding area has lots to do and see. The kids particularly enjoyed snorkelling at Paradise Cove - the trip booked through La Sirena at L'Estartit. We did the Snorkelling safari - which involved a bit of snorkelling as well as jumping off a floating trampoline and the top of the boat itself. We also visited Aquadiver waterpark. Again kids really enjoyed but be prepared to queue for slides - don't bother queuing for the zig zag as its a bit on the slow side but splash mountain and the wave pool are particularly enjoyable. Prices for food at the park are expensive so would advise packing the coolbag and taking a picnic.
Would recommend a visit to Pals - very quaint and beautiful jewellery on sale though be cautious we found some souvenirs cheaper in other towns. Visited Plaja D'aro -it's large with lots of designer shops and restaurants though parking was relatively easy.
All in all a fantastic holiday - would definitely recommended!

Just returned from Cypsela: 2 weeks in a Canvas 2 bed mobile.
Flew into Barcelona and picked up hire car. If we'd gone the right way, would've taken around 2 hours!
Easy check in and found accommodation ready, clean and in a really good spot. Not too far from the pool or shop and although no decking, plenty of space for car and large table, chairs and sunloungers. All Canvas mobiles seemed to be clustered together and have a great location. All mobiles seem to be located near the pool and reception etc. Some camping areas close by, but many more further away in this large site.
Mainly barbecued (gas, really handy) so couldn't comment too much on local restaurants or one on site. Tried the chicken place down the road, but way too crowded. Ate over the road (El Romani). Fine, but kids thought the pizzas were way too crunchy!
As other posts say, on site supermarket no more expensive than one up the road really. Bigger meat and fresh food selection in the bigger supermarket. On site bakery lovely - fresh bread and pastries all day. Bar area nice, reasonably priced. Didn't really make use of entertainment in the evenings, but seemed easy enough to get a table when we did so may not be well attended? Many people stayed around their accomodation during the evenings and no mosquitoes, which was a bonus!
Drove to Water World in Lloret (less than an hour) expensive at 25 euro each, but kids really rated it. 12 yr old enjoyed nearby Parc D'Aventure (ropes course), again expensive (60 Euros for 2 to do whole course) but good couple of hours filled. Old town of Pals really lovely - a must see for adults and kids will at least enjoy the ice cream!
Used very handy free bus to and from the beach at Pals, but found the beach so stony, we didn't bother going back. Other nicer beaches close by, apparently, but being pool people, we tended to stay put when the weather was good, which it mostly was, especially in our second week, when the number of English people around was noticeably growing. Large pool with diving boards and separate kids pool was enjoyed by ours (7 and 12), still not really big enough for the size of the site and got really crowded as the weather improved. Had to resort to the grass rather than prowl around for the odd spare lounger on the busiest days, but found it was much more comfy than the loungers anyway! Liked the big park area - great for table tennis (bought equipment cheaply in the shop). Tennis and mini-golf available for reasonable charge as well as squash court and gym - bit old but functional. Kids club seemed well used. Would highly recommend a car as it is quite isolated, although with good weather, you could stay on site and probably find enough to do.
Paid for Wi-fi (25 Euro for 2 weeks) but a nightmare at peak times!
Overall a nice site - clean, good facilities, well-maintained, if you get the right spot it's peaceful yet everything you need is accessible. Pool could be bigger. Will possibly return.

Room Tip: Canvas mobiles seem to have a great location. Camping plots seemed much more widespread.

This for us as a family was the first experience of camping and it was in general an exellent one !!
Cypsela is a beautiful site , It is VERY clean , The shower blocks are really clean , as are the area's were you wash your pots .
For children there are small baby baths for very little children and for those a bit older there are proper little childrens baths that are lovely.
People are cleaning these area's all the time even in the middle of the night !.
Gardeners are always around maintaining the place and tidying up .
We stayed in a Canvas holiday tent which was a plesant suprise as it was large and spacious , 2 seperate bedrooms and beds were comfy which was a suprise .
Plenty of space around the tent , we had a table and at least 4 chairs as well as reclining chairs and sunloungers .
The pool area is lovely , very large pool and life guarded all day , easy to get a sunbed at any time of the day .
We made good use of the kids club and there lots of activities for kids to do , in the evening they ran a disco for an hour which was enough for those with children but then finished so that the adults were not drove too mad !!.
Cypsela has a laundry were ladies will wash and dry your washing for you in a couple of hours .
Supermarket , fantastic value not over priced at all , attatched to a lovely bakery that did lovely bagettes and pastries and freshly squeezed orange juice .
You can hire bikes at a good price , also the internet is cheaply available , don't pay for a week as it is not per day but timed so for a week you will only need to buy 3 days .
The only minus points : Restuarant not fantastic , over priced for food - not a good veggie selection , food not quick (only simple food ) , I had a lasange that was fab but was on a plate the size of a bin lid and a postage stamp size of food !!!, the bill was all wrong as well and there was a language problem so it made hard understanding .
Take away - Expensive , not good value limited menu.
Bar food very limited , again expensive and not good at all .
The bar and restuarant area are beautiful Cypsela could make lots of money if they did a better menu , people can get better food in Pals for a better price.
I had seen on earlier reviews of Cypsela that staff were rude , I didn't find this at all they were very friendly but in general most English people are not fluent in Spanish ? most of the staff spoke a little broken English a couple spoke good English - Dont go to this resort thinking that every body speaks our language they do not , this is a lovely resort and area - It is not the resorts further up the coast were they are very " English" If you want to be with lots of English people this is not for you , It suited us that there was a good mixture - We loved it .
Would we go back to Cypsela -YES !!.

I’m not sure, but I think that this was once the No.1 campsite in Spain – Not anymore.
This place has really lost its edge. It’s hard to put your finger on it because it is well run, they keep the supermarket prices competitive within the area and the place is clean. Although, if you’re in B block beware of the ants.
The bar area tends to be dead at night time and is usually taken over with kids just on the legal limit of drinking age served by bar staff that wish they were not there
As for the area, it is really pretty just tucked between the ‘kiss me quick’ of Playa D’Aro to the south and L’Estartit to the North.
Always start with the negative’s. We went with Keycamp for 16 nights from 1st July and they really were not up to scratch. Circa £1,800 for a Villagrand Deluxe !!!!
We stayed in a luxury penthouse apartment in Portugal last year for £1,200 for a fortnight
There must be a cost cutting exercise going on as there is the bare essentials of what you need. Not even the complimentary bottles of wine and water which while they are the cheapest of stuff show a bit of care and attention.
As usual everything left by the previous occupants has been swiped by the courier staff. If you go for a Vliiagrand Deluxe, beware the spec is not as per the brochure. I know that they cover thermselves with the “Due to the size of our fleet design, furnishings and layout may vary” however when you ask to speak to a supervisor who goes out of his way to avoid you, that’s a different matter.
Complained, but they didn’t care. I understand that Kel Air are doing a good deal and offer more customer service.
Anyway we will not be using them again or recommending them
Positives .. mmmmm
If you have a car, try Castell beach on the way down the C31, about 20 mins from the site and down a country lane. Pay €2 to park, avoid at weekends.
Beach at Llafranc and then leave your towels and walk over to Calella de Palafrugell for lunch at the first restaurant on the beach – try the grilled sardines
If you hate crowded beaches go to Pals beach, but then walk left along the path to the nudist beach and you will have all the peace you need. Right will also take you past a nudist beach on the way to Sa Riera
Begur is lovely and while most flock to La Pizzetta try the Aiquaclara Hotel – if it is just the two of you. Also, tapas in the square
Coffee in Sa Tuna and watch the world go by and also how the other half live.
Peratallada and eat in the one restaurant that always seems to be busy, feel sorry for the other ones.
Avoid L’Estartit unless you like that sort of stuff

Good luck
