Positives:
- Pool including 25 m lap section for working out.
Rooms were spacious, very clean, and nicely done. Wifi was good
- Food including included breakfast was well done, although we ventured out towards the end of our stay..
- Beach was close and easy to access. semi private beach. Be careful if you walk along the beach...There are some nudist sections which made my teenage kids laugh.
- Make sure to take a half day trip to the nearby medieval village. Lots of restaurants (we liked ours in the castle moat) and very interesting.
- We had 5 people in three rooms, so had to rent van/driver from Barcelona, which was an expensive $230 Euros.
- Great Staff, especially the main guy at the pool bar/restaurant. Took care of us with recommendations. Front desk staff was good.
- Place was very clean.
Negatives:
- Had a boisterous bunch of French business people wake us up at 4 AM on morning, but no similar issues.
- Seemed a bit unnecessary to charge us for an thatched umbrella at the beach along with a cost for the chair, being hotel guests.
Overall very good.

Room Tip: All rooms are either pool view or slightly obstructed ocean view (from what I could see) so I dont think you can go wrong.

Our family, 2 adults and 11-year-old son stayed one week in La Costa Resort at the beginning of June. We had a spacious, nice room, very clean, only the view wasn't special, it was to the parking lot. Otherwise the room was very good for us. We had breakfast at the hotel, on weekdays it was good, at the weekend excellent with fresh-made omelettes and pancakes. The personnel at the breakfast wasn't particularly friendly. We also had lunch twice at the bar by the pool and the service was very friendly there and the food was good, a bit pricey though. The pool is wonderful, we loved it! It was nice and warm at the beginning of June and very, very quiet, only a few people there. Often there were only the three of us swimming there! It was luxury, and the lifeguard was very friendly and helpful. Only the opening times of the pool could have been longer than 11-19. The beach is right opposite the hotel and it's a very nice sandy beach and the water is very clear. Also very quiet there, the kitchen at the beach restaurant and the water sports near the hotel were still closed. But a bit further on the beach you could rent all water sports equipment and there was a nice Les Dunes restaurant open by the beach. We rented bikes from the hotel, they were really good bikes and renting was cheap, only they didn't have helmets. Cycling was a fun way to get to know the surroundings, for example the city of Pals, and the traffic in June was quiet as well. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the hotel and Playa de Pals beach, with some water sports and tennis at the hotel. We recommed going to Medes Islands and a visit to a water park was a super day for our son, also a very few people in the park and no waiting at all! We had a relaxing holiday at La Costa.

We stayed here for a few nights during a conference. It's quite far away from anywhere but the surrounding countryside is breathtaking. The rooms are quite basic - all have a balcony. The manager and team are lovely.

Room Tip: wifi in some of the rooms in sketchy. And ask for a pool view.

I went to La Costa with my friends last summer and I have to say that we all had a great experience!

POSITIVE:

1-The staff is very friendly and they don't forget about your name and your usual order :).

2- The location is excellent. Near the beach and next to the golf. Also if you want to do a cultural visit you just drive 10 Km until you get to the medieval village of Pals.

3- You can go to a club they have called Les Teules with good ambient, music, price and staff.

NEGATIVE:

1- You have to pay like 15€ to sit in a bed under an umbrella on the beach. We were 4 friends, so we had to pay 30€... (5 per bed, 5 per umbrella; 1 umbrella - 2 beds). The people who aren't staying in the resort have to pay a little bit more. But I think that the price we pay for the stay is high, so don't make us pay even more to sit and relax, please ;).
