My wife and I stayed at this hotel on a Saturday night prior to starting our trip on the Camino which is right beside this hotel.
We found our room on the first floor to have a modern decor with a good shower. Its a five minute walk into the old part of town if you want to go.
There is a nice coffee shop and restaurant downstairs beside the accommodation and we found this to be good. We had a really nice large pizza with a bottle of the local wine on our first night -prices were very reasonable. The full breakfast in the restaurant in the morning for €6 each was excellent with lovely bread, cereal, fruit and Santiago tart! plus a hot breakfast as well- the best breakfast we had on the Camino!!
The staff were very friendly and tried to help us as much as possible, when we had problems with one of our bikes which we really appreciated.

I used dpCristal as part of a large (17) group. I found it to be good value, clean, efficient and friendly. Free wi-fi available. We hadn't booked half-board as the option didn't appear via Booking.com but on arrival we arranged an evening meal which was well received and at a very good price. Daniel and all staff were friendly and helpful at all times. When a problem developed with the lift, it was repaired within 30 minutes or so. We used their taxi/minibus to transfer there from Airport. Again, this was done for a competitive price. All-in-all it was a good experience and any of my party would use dpCristal again.

This hotel is right on the Camino before you enter the centre if town. It is about a 15 minute walk from the old centre itself.

There are some rooms with bathrooms and some share. I think it was a residential development converted to a hotel so it is a little quirky and noise from the corridor penetrates the room.

My room with a private shower faced south and had a big window so it caught plenty of sun and air.

The room was a good size and the shower was a massage unit with so many jets. You need a degree in rocket science to be able to use it.

Wifi was simple and fast.

You may prefer a location closer to the station or the old centre. But if you don't mind a bit more walking this provides good value.

Prologue: We made the St. James way during the first week of April. We booked through an agency all the hostels at the different stretches (with half board). Our comments refer to the expectations we had in relation to what we paid the agency. The number of stars are instead related to the price/quality ratio if you just want to book by yourself and sleep one night.
Comment: Room was very big and clean. Bathroom was ok with hair dryer. Staff very friendly and helpful, they fixed a problem with the heating in a super short time. Breakfast ok but unfortunately the dinner was the worst we had in 9 days of Camino. Especially after trying the same food in other restaurants. Wifi was working very well in the room. Overall, we would come back here but without half board.

I have stayed here twice and found it a very good value option. Staff are helpful and friendly and the rooms and bathrooms are very clean. An ideal place to stay on the Camino in a lively market town.
