Verry nice , snowpiste, nice hotel and a warm atmosphere. In 5 kilometers you can visit Gaia zoo. Its one of the most beautifull zoos of the netherlands.

Our first trip to the Netherlands was a visit to Snow World and we absolutely loved it. The atmosphere changes to winter sports the moment you walk in the door. The staff is very helpful and patient which was a plus since we spoke English, not the native language. Getting our gear was easy and efficient and they even made sure that our kids, who were not snow boarding or skiing on this visit, were set up with tubes to ride down the "bunny slope". Classes were available for a very reasonable price, and the different slopes they had inside the building were fantastic for all levels of experience. We spent most our time on the beginner slopes though. It was very cold inside the snow portion of the building, but the restaurant was a great place to grab a bite or a drink and warm up before we headed back into the snow. We are already planning to return again. The kids can't wait :)

The indoor ski/snowboarding park is an ok place for intermediate/experienced skiers. The lift takes you to a steep slope that is tough to complete if you have little or no experience. There is also a nice park in the middle of the area which provides nice rails & jumps for the fancy footed riders. Overall, ok indoor experience. Nothing too special or fancy.

I have skied on indoor slopes in Bottrop, The Hague and Milton Keynes and Snow World is hands down the best of all. I have been here twice now. It is LARGE. Easily the biggest of the three I mentioned, Snow World has 4 slopes, (2 short practice ones and 2 long ones) and a fully fledged snow park. There is a 6 man chair lift as well as various drag lifts and a flying carpet so beginners can get exposure to / practice with all common types of lifts. The food options are much better than anywhere else I have been and there are sufficient lockers to leave your stuff. They have really tried to make it look nice and authetic, there is even a chalet bar on one of the slopes and there are trees etc on the slopes. They have really tried hard to make indoor skiing as fun as possible. Very suitable for families and children and definitely worth the journey. See my review of Bottrop - the contrast couldn't be bigger.
