We had a fantastic time, my son absolutely loved the yurt and it's surroundings. It was so good to be there as a family, no distractions, just enjoying being together and the outdoors. You have everything you need for a great break, the wood burner and dinosaur decor was wonderful, we must have read every single book and certainly played with every single dinosaur! My son especially loved feeding the chickens and visiting the goats. The yurts are in a great location and the local pub (Hare and Hounds) is recommended too, we spent a day at Blackgang Chine which completed our stay perfectly. Thank you so much Andrea and family, we will be back!
We vacationed here for a weekend over the Isle of Wight Music Fest in early June (never too late to feedback!), and we had a marvelous time! Our daughter loved the enchanted forest theme of our Yurt and all the fun kids stuff that is found in these wonderful looking cross between a tent and a cottage! They come with an ensuite bathroom, which def won over the adults. The owners (Andrea and her husband) were super nice, and even dropped us off to the festival site when no taxis could be located! We will certainly return and hope to stay for a few days longer to enjoy the setting and the BBQ!
We were lucky enough to stay in the dinosaur and enchanted woodland yurts! There were 11 of us from ages 2-50 and we had an amazing time! Andrea and her family were so welcoming, the honesty shed was fantastic and was fully stocked with firewood, games and activities. The walks around the area were beautiful and the yurts were incredible! We made friends with their chickens and goats too!!! Everything you need other than food, clothes and towels! So happy we went and we are arranging our trip for the start of next year already!!! Massive thank you!!!
We stayed with three generations aged two to 60+ years and there was something for everyone! Andrea was very kind and helpful from booking right through our stay.
The yurt was well equipped with fridge, microwave, lovely hot shower, log burner for the adults, but what sets this place apart is the amazing toys, decor, books, games etc for kids! We spent a whole day inside in heavy rain and the children were well occupied all day!! On sunny days there's also the barbecue, the chickens, the mud kitchen and bug hotel...paradise! It is magical going to sleep in the dusk listening to the birds.
No shoes inside, so it's worth taking slippers especially if you're up early on log burner duty :)
We stayed for 3 nights in Andrea's wonderful Under The Sea themed yurt. Filled with books, toys and various fun decorations. The 4 month old baby had a wonderful time staring at the ceiling (no joke!), the 2 year old and 4 year old enjoyed the freedom provided by the safely enclosed large outdoor space, packed with plenty of chickens, ducks and toys. We enjoyed the bbq, outdoor seating and plentiful indoor space along with the private bathroom and hot shower. Excellent experience (for first time glampers). One word of advice (if you are a glamping novice like we were!) - although the yurt is incredibly sturdy and by no means a tent, it is still reasonably open to the outdoors around the underside, so make sure you bring some layers with you for the early morning freshness!
Lovely peaceful setting, yet close to all of the island's attractions. Beautiful yurt, spacious, full of indoor and outdoor activities for the kids - my 4 and 6 year old daughters just loved it! The wood burning stove was great for making the evening and mornings cosy, and the shower was terrific! Absolutely loved everything about it!
We love to holiday on the Isle of Wight and wanted something different to the norm. We decided to stay at the newly opened Kids Love Yurts. What a great weekend we had. Situated just outside Newport, and 15 mins drive from the Ferry terminal, the setting couldn't be better. The yurts are situated on a working farm with chickens and ducks walking freely which is great for kids. The Yurts are impressive with 6 beds, microwave, toilet and shower room. There is also a wood burner inside the Yurt which kept us toasty warm. The owners have put a lot of effort into gearing the whole experience to children with lots of books, crayons and games of different sorts. There is also a craft room where the children can make things to take home as a keepsake. There is also a barbecue at the side of the yurt which is great for the whole family. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience as we have never stayed in a Yurt. Thanks for the stay Andrea and Andy
