“Enchanting place. Owners have put their heart & soul into building a quality sanctuary”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 April 2012

Initially small in size but how refreshing to see quality enclosures along with beautiful landscaping. The monkeys are very relaxed & playful. You can see how much effort the family have put into setting up this place. Natural habitats over the world are destroyed by our modern day living. Palm oil is in nearly every product we buy. We can do our bit by visiting this sanctuary & help in a small way to keep these species alive. We cant take them for granted anymore. Thankyou to this organisation for trying to help these animals & putting so much effort into us enjoying our time with the animals.

“What a fabulous place - a must see on IOW”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 April 2012

My husband and I took our 2 teen age children to this enchanting place. Our son adores both owls and monkeys so was in heaven. As we walked in we were able to stroke a friendly tawny owl. We were knocked out by the quality of the enclosures and hard landscaping and amazed at how the fund raising had been done, largely by the couple who had set it up + their close family without recall to large national funding. We also did the Marmoset encounter which is well worth every penny and were able actually to feed these adorable little creatures in their enclosures. Several marmosets climbed into my son's hood to feed, so relaxed were they. The stories of the how the animals came to be at the haven are heartbreaking ; I cannot understand why South Today has not done a feature yet. It could be called "waiting for Martin". If you are visiting the Island it is an absolute must if you(like us) like small furry animals and a good story.
