If you are looking for a pub restaurant with quality food at a reasonable price with friendly and efficient staff, look no further than the Blacksmith Arms. We took our Australian friends for dinner on an evening that coinciding with the start of the Festival. We are glad we booked a table as the restaurant was very busy . From the moment we arrived there was no delay in being shown to our table, menus provided and an initial drinks order taken.
Two of our party had small portions for their main meal , both turned out to be substantial. The Lamb shank pie was excellent as was my wife’s belly of pork. The ‘Specials’ were varied to suit most tastes which complimented the main menu.
Drinks were reasonably priced for both beers/ lagers and wines with a good choice.
Clearly the new owners have transferred the success they enjoyed at the Pointer Inn(Newchurch) to their new venture. Well done!
