“Well worth a visit.”
Reviewed 13 July 2014

If you are into transport history. Or just like climbing on buses. Then this is the place for you. Its a venue run by volunteers and their enthusiasm shines through. The museum is located at the Harbour. On the river Medina. Is easily walkable fro the town centre at Newport. Is well worth the walk and the entry fee. (One little tip. Out of season check the opening times, as they have restricted dates etc)

“very good value for money”
Reviewed 28 June 2014 via mobile

My husband dragged me to the bus museum £4 each to get in. Specialist interest but I found it very interesting. for extra excitement you could wear a mini skirt and walk upstairs to top deck with husband watching.

“Bus lovers only”
Reviewed 21 May 2014

My Husband loves the old buses, remembers when he was small and loves all the old ticket machines. Stories of childhood memories. He looked at every single piece of infor all posters. Pity could not see them in their full glory as sometime difficult to view as lots in a small space. We were lucky as some bus outside and some pulling into the yard. Right next to a park land so plenty to park to visit. Great value for money hope they find their new home a success. Could not get my husband out limited time open so very happy we could visit.

“Bus Blast from the pass”
Reviewed 8 May 2014

The Bus Museum is currently on Newport Harbour and it is not the most exciting place as there is not enough room to really see and walk around the buses but they are moving to a new location at the end of October which will be up and running in 2015 which will change the environment entirely.
Where I live buses are few and far between so going into the museum was a real blast from the past and brought back many happy memories of a different era. The museum also has a feel of a real family with the memorabilia and photos on display upstairs, including the old ticket machines etc.
It really brings back memories of the way travel used to be in my younger days. The Museum has an Annual Running Day on 18 & 19 May and they need our support. I have only marked this aver age because it is in the process of change and there are no facilities ie toilets, cafe but all that will change with the move.
