“Amazing breakfast!”
Reviewed 19 June 2014

Beautiful rooms and a very warm welcome. So much thought has gone into the breakfast, the bread, bacon, sausages, etc. are all sourced locally and you can certainly taste the difference, Highly recommended.

A lovely venue, immaculately presented and extremely hospitable. Excellent breakfast also, what's not to enjoy?

Karen and her team made our stay very pleasant, and if we ever were to find ourselves back in Newport, here is where will stay,

Splendid!

Great little hotel/b&b, cracking price, Karen and her staff were excellent. So friendly and helpful, very much a home from home. The hotel is quirky, small with very personal service and the decor is beautiful. There is a lovely walled garden at the back, perfect to pop a bottle of Prosseco and sit in the sunshine as my friend and I did. The breakfast was great, freshly cooked to order or continental if you wish. We loved it, stayed for two nights and would go back at the drop of a hat.

In the centre of Newport on the Isle of Wight, I found this lovely B&B. I was made to feel welcome from the word go thanks to Karen and her efficient staff. My room was very comfortable and everything worked well with good internet reception too! Breakfast was exceptionally tasty with ingredients obviously locally sourced. Well recommended and extremely good value.

Room Tip: I recommend room 6 which looks over the pretty, tranquil garden at the back and enjoys the morning s...

If you like something out of the ordinary - this is for you! We liked :- the attentiveness of the staff: friendly chats with Karen who shared her local knowledge with us: the well restored old building: the furiniture in our room (in particular the carved wooden bedstead): exploring the surrounding streets - the old part of the town: the "artist in residence": the ironmongers opposite - an Aladdin's cave to those of us who have to rely on D.I.Y. superstores: the fresh fruit salad for breakfast (there were lots of other goodies too): and the convenient location for exploring the Isle of Wight by bus. We'll be back.

Room 7 is our most popular room for the reasons expressed above; the exposed beams and big red bath are favoured by many guests. Thank you so much for such a fabulous review. We hope to see you again!
