Well we stayed at One Holyrood on Saturday night and what a pleasant weekend.
We were greeted nice and early and allowed to leave our bags (they were safely stowed in our room when we returned) and given a key pending our late return.
The room was fantastic with loads of space and character and a good quality finish to the decor.
Great big modern bathroom with loads of light and a real shower, fantastic.
Breakfast was served by a lovely young lady who was happy to keep restocking the toast and juice. All during breakfast because of the layout we could hear the conversations and join in with the lady that runs this B&B. It felt just like being at home cooking and chatting away.
Then it rained and rained, there was a torrent of water running down the gully and the door was propped open to let some air in and guess what.............yep a passing car drove through the water splashing us.Quick as a flash we were being mopped up and dried. It was quite amusing.
We enjoyed our stay immensely leaving our bags until much later to collect.
Thank you for having us.More
