Stayed here for 1 night for a business trip. Got there as it was getting dark but what I saw indicated that it was in a nice area, with the arts centre nearby and the town centre too.
The hotel has a car park which is free and handy.
Staff we're super, welcoming and friendly. I felt cold but only because I had sat working on the computer for far too many hours and the staff offered a portable heater.
There is a pub next door which does evening meals (which were average) and where I only went because it was late. They also served the premier breakfast which I always like. The morning waitress was great and made me something not on the buffet.
I would be happy to stay here again. The room was big and clean.
There were very few guests when I stayed and it was only in the morning that I discovered that other rooms overlooked the river...shame as I would have liked one of those but it wasn't mentioned or offered.
My only criticism is that the postcode for the hotel got me there, but to the wrong side of a barrier where I couldn't park. I went to reception and they are obviously so used to this happening, they gave me the correct postcode...even though I was actually parked by the hotel, to get to the right side of the barrier was a further 10 minute drive. The postcode for the premier inn needs to be corrected on their booking system...this was an unnecessary annoyance.
