Decided to pop in for supper on a Wednesday night and was pleased to see the place fairly busy. Staff were attentive and the food was amazing. Would certainly go back next time we are in Cornwall and would highly recommend to others, great food at a very reasonable price with amazing views. Looking to maybe book for a weekend in September.

My partner and I went back to the Manor Hotel again, for what I can only describe for me as pure bliss. The staff were very welcoming, the room we had, yet again was amazing, the views were spectacular. The dining area had changed from when we were last there, made it more cosy, which I found even more inviting.
We ate there most nights as the Menu had change from last time, but as before the food was excellent, and with it being my partners birthday, they surprised us with a bottle of champagne, made the end of our stay even more enjoyable, if that could have been possible. Thank you all at the Manor Hotel, we will most definitely be back again next year.

Nicely decorated downstairs in the restaurant but the hotel part upstairs seems to be an afterthought. Music is switched on at 7.45 in the morning in the restaurant which can be heard upstairs. No sound insulation I could hear every word the staff were saying downstairs and they weren't being particularly loud.

Food is adequate but over priced. More Berni Inn than anything else. Staff are friendly.

Rooms are clean but very dated.

visited a local caravan park in the are for the weekend and came across the Manor and noticed the many signs outside saying FOOD SERVED ALL DAY, NEW MENU, BEST AROUND. There were ten people in our party including kids of different ages and we decided to visit the Manor on Sunday the 1st May for Dinner.
We all walked there and noticed the car park was busy but thought this was normal for a hotel rated for its friendliness and food.
we walked in to the bar area and there were half a dozen tables free but none big enough for our party so i asked the girl behing the bar for a table for ten and when will the next table be available, her reply was they stopped serving food (IT WAS 6PM IN THE EVENING)
We couldn't believe what she said and she expalined a large party of 40 people had been booked in in the other room hence no table free.
a couple sitting at the bar had a word with the barmaid to ask the chef if anything was available later on, was the couple the owners because they looked a bit puzzled regarding the barmaids reaponse to us.
She came back and said " THERE WILL BE SOME FOOD AN ABOUT AN HOUR BUT THEY NOT SURE WHAT WILL BE LEFT"
at that point we all left and took our business elsewhere.

1. So based on the inforamtion given by the staff the hotel can not handle any orders over 40 people even though it had been pre booked earlier, bad management i think.
2. Should not advertise FOOD SERVED ALL DAY if they can not do anything after 6pm.
3. Staff training needs to be looked into if the bar staff can not give correct information to the general public.
4. Yes the hotel offers fantastic views but the hotel needs to look at improving inside for fantastic reviews.

Whilst we were there for the whole five minutes waiting for the lame excuses there were another two families who turned around back out on hearing the news given .
If the hotel can afford to turn away business like this then they obviously charging to much or as i stated earlier bad managment for what was a busy weekend in the area.

Avoid this hotel in busy periods to avoid disapointment

We have just returned from having an absolutely superb dinner in the Manor dining room. There were 5 adults in our party including one in a wheelchair, plus an 8 month old baby. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. My wife has an eating disorder and can't eat very much, so she was allowed to have a childs portion. The table was laid out perfectly for us, including plenty of access for the wheelchair and a highchair for the baby. The food was both plentiful and delicious. We'll definately be back.
