Have to agree with all the recent positive reviews. Very well presented hotel, all areas cleaned to a high standard (both public and bedroom we stayed in), decor and theming also really good. Breakfast was great, with good varied selection available. Every member of staff we encountered were welcoming, engaging and helpful. Would certainly recommend this hotel to others.

I use the hotel on a regular basis for business and have always been very impressed with the service. Rooms, food, staff and the setting is great, its much more than a family resort hotel. Ive also used the conference facilities and was very impressed with the standard and quality, well worth a look for anyone wanting a conference venue with a difference.

On walking into this amazing hotel we were greeted by a stunning and striking illuminated giraffe! What an impact and we all said 'Wow'!!! The decor inside and out is simply breathtaking and although we had high expectations, nothing could have prepared us for the fantastic attention to detail, the excellent design, and features of this hotel.

My husband and I visited with our two children 2 and 6. Our bedroom was ideal with a seperate area for the children with their own tv, then an area with our double bed and another tv. Everything was immaculately clean.

All staff that we encountered were very friendly and really helpful. A real breath of fresh air. We booked a room overlooking the reserve which was worth every penny and more. To wake up to a view of Zebras not far from London is very special!

Thank you Chessington for giving us an unforgettable experience. We look forward to returning next year!

We went to chessington for Easter weekend. We arrived on the Sunday morning and it was hammering it down. Unfortunately we couldn't check in hotel til 3pm which is standard. When we were able to check in we found the staff very helpful. The initial impression of the hotel was very WOW the lobby area has a lot to show. I loved the tv area for the children with lots of comfy bean bags for them to lay on. We were given our room keys n showed to our room. As I am disabled I thought maybe we could have been helped to our room. There is a lift provided to all floors which is good. The hotel floors are all very differently set out and the landing before you get to the passage where the rooms are is huge!!. We got in our room and even though it was standard the bed was nice and the kids had a bunk to share which was amazingly decorated. Then came the view!! Wow it looked out over the ostrich enclosure. I couldn't believe our luck. Beautiful. The entertainment in the evening for the children was brilliant. It's very kid focused and adults seem to be able to relax. The restaurant in side the hotel is exceptional. Not much on the menu to choose from which was a bit frustrating as I have food allergies and they seemed not to take that into account when asked. But they had soya milk which was handy. The staff were exceptional. The room itself had no fridge which was a bit of a downside and the bed although it looked nice was very uncomfortable. Also the sound proofing wasn't great and we were woken up by kids running up and down the hallway at goodness knows what time. Loved the fact they had freeview but tv reception was a bit scratchy and fuzzy. All in all it was a lovely stay but would probably upgrade room next time.

We stayed here as a family for 3 nights. We had a family room overlooking the Wanyama reserve. The rooms are great for family's with small children as they have their own separate sleeping area and TV. We all loved being able to see Giraffes and Zebras from our room.

The hotel is very family orientated, with kids movies, character meet and greets and other activities. I would guess they are trying to replicate much of what Disney does very well with its own hotels and it really pays off, I love the direction they are taking and I look forward to seeing the new Aztec wing of the hotel when it opens in Aug.

The bar and restaurant are great, the staff are super attentive and being able to sit outside with a drink watching the animals is fantastic. We found the prices for food and drink to be reasonable considering your in a lovely hotel and its location.
After the park closes you can wonder round the wanyama reserve and see a variety of different animals. Its a lovely way to spend half an hour or so in the evening, being able to have a relaxing walk in idyllic settings looking at a variety of animals.

If you are going into Chessington World of Adventures, then guests of the hotel are given a wrist band giving them unlimited fast pass entry for the first hour of the park being open. This is a great idea and a unique selling point. On busy days this could allow you to ride 4 or 5 of the bigger rides first thing saving you queuing later on.

Only two very small things from my own point of view, but our room didn't have a safe (that should be pretty standard nowadays) and WiFi is only available in public areas. Hopefully the new Aztec hotel will have WiFi in guest rooms when that opens??

To end, I love this hotel, the location, the décor, the staff and the focus on being a fun family hotel.

We stayed here on a last minute package which included 2 days entry to the park. The rooms were large and clean and nothing was too difficult for the staff. We had to stop by in the morning due to an issue with our booking (because it was last minute) only to discover that the booking hadn't come through. This is not the hotels fault - it is an issue with the IT system and how it connects between the hotel and the Merlin central booking. But in any case it ended up being the best thing that could have happened .. We waited to be seen and managed to get the issue resolved fairly easily but thank goodness we did it in the morning as the hotel was like a war zone ion we the park closed! I don't know what the check times were but it must be horrendous if you are trying to do anything with the front desk from 5 pm onwards. Having said that the staff couldn't do enough, the rooms were clean and well appointed (we had executive rooms overlooking the safari park and the food in the restaurant (breakfast and dinner) was very good and served by cheerfully helpful staff. The little extras - early entry to the park, late entry to the animals, meet the animals etc make this an extra special trip for children. And clearly this is a hotel for families with children - why any adult without children would want to stay here is beyond me. We did see some and they looked she'll shocked - there is clearly a lot of noise (not helped by the never ending jungle music ...) and although it was a brilliant break , I feel like I need another one just to recover (sans children)!

Stayed 1 night with offer giving 2 days access to park for family of 4. Nicely themed hotel with comfortable rooms many overlooking animals in park. luckily pool was open but had only been open 4 days and steam and sauna closed. Breakfast typical buffet fayre nicely cooked. TIP restaurant looked pricey for evening meal so ordered pizza hut delivery straight to hotel door. Park was great fun and really need 2 days to fully appreciate everything on offer. would stay again.
