“Amazing Hotel and amazing staff”
Reviewed 7 June 2014

We stayed at the hotel and booked for two night in a zafari room,on the first night my daughter became ill, my wife and I spoke to staff for a first aider, they sent him up who agreed with us to call 111 which then turned into 999 as my daughter got worse, the support my wife and I received from the hotel was amazing throughout, even when I had to return at 3am, they made everything smooth running for us by changing are tickets and exstending are stay. My wife and I can not fault this hotel one bit the whole experience makes us want to return tomorrow if we could.

Room Tip: The safari room to me was amazing my son loved it.

My wife, two daughters 8 & 5 and myself stayed here for one night as part of a two day entry package to chessington world of adventure.
From the moment we checked in all staff were very friendly and helpful and our room overlooked the rear of the hotel at the animal enclosure with various wildlife roaming around. Room was spotless but there was a water stain on one of the lampshades?
Our room 111 looked over the roof of the restaurant/bar area and there were a lot of cigerette ends and a few lighters thrown on it which do require some cleaning up please.

We didn't eat in the restaurant as they did not have any table available untill after nine that night, we did try to book a table the day before via the internet but could not access the day we wanted but I would advise this to anybody wanting to eat there to book a table when you book the room during busy times.
Breakfast was really good if a little busy but this is to be expected.
Parking is very difficule in the small carpark for the hotel and on monday when we were putting our bags into our car there were workmen parking their cars in the hotel carpark to work on the new hotel due to open this summer, this is not fair and needs to be stopped as customers paying to stay here should have priority!

All in all a very good stay and would have no problem returning in the future!

We stayed for 1 night- it was a hotel with a difference. Loved going for a walk in the evening around the reserve to see the animals. Food and drink was good in the restaurant but a little bit pricey! Sat out on the terrace of the bar in the evening, with a drink, listening to the noises- it felt like we were in Kenya !!Lovely pool for a morning swim. Good buffet breakfast.with an amazing view of zebras and giraffes. Definitely visit again.

We stayed for one night in this hotel and it was amazing, the views of the wildlife were incredible it was like staying over at a Kenyan resort :) You could see all of the animals happily roaming around there enclosures. The food was fantastic and good value for money, Breakfast was a buffet and an ideal way to start the day before enjoying a fun packed day in the park! the decorations of the hotel were stunning especially the big light up giraffe in the foyer. It was definitely a trip to remember!

It was a late decision for us to do something for half term and were lucky enough to get booked into the Safari Hotel.
The whole experience was brilliant, ALL staff were friendly and very helpful.
We packed a lot in and wished we'd booked for longer, use of the pool, evening entertainment, dinner the the restaurant as well as an evening walk onto the Wanyama reserve. Nice perk to get early access to the World of Adventures.
There is building work as a new hotel being built next door due to be competed in August, but not too intrusive. My only gripe was our hair dryer was broken and no portable replacement was available even though reception knew there was an issue with this.
Fancy returning to try out the new hotel next year?

I celebrated my birthday last weekend and at the tender age of... ahem.. 31 you're never too old for a surprise! My boyfriend and parents took me on a surprise trip to Chessington staying at the Safari Hotel - and I couldn't hope for a better weekend.
We arrived Saturday afternoon - parking in the hotel section was a bit of a nightmare! But headed straight in to the park - as the weather was typically British the park was lovely and quiet. Retiring to the hotel it was a busy check in and the queue for the lifts was long. We took the stairs to our rooms - what lovely rooms. My parents gave us the room overlooking the reserve whilst they took the one which was overlooking the building site of the new hotel!
Rooms were spacious and well equipped - one thing I would like is a sleep timer on the TV! (maybe my age!!!)
Dinner in the hotel was good - nice to see somewhere willing to provide diners with information on gluten free options although would be easier to have a printed menu so staff didn't have to go to ask each time there's something you fancy from the menu!
Saw some zebra, ostrich and giraffes from the bedroom window in the morning.
Breakfast was good too - turnover must be huge so keeping it warm and stocked is always an issue - but they did well.
All in all a really perfect birthday weekend. Brought out the big kid in me!

Just returned from this hotel where we took advantage of the Early Riser to enter Chessington World of Adventures. The hotel is 'Madagascar' themed which went down well with my 8 and 5 year old. Clean and airy bedrooms with a seperate room for the kids beds made for a nice overnight stay. Bit of confusion around internet bookings at the restaurant wasn't enough to ruin the evening meal and the food was good as well.

Room Tip: We had 3rd floor safari facing rooms which the kids loved. Family rooms have a seperated section for...
