“afternoon picnic”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

whilst i was picnicing at this park a party of people were having a bbq which i thought was not allowed they were allowing thier rubbish to blow around the park at will, making no attempt to retrieve it at all. waste bins looked old and tired and inadequate, a black bag was laid next to the full bin, people laid thier rubbish next to the bag just to be blown away again, the small area near the childrens play ground was unkept, grass was growing up the legs of a bench seat, the whole place looked tired and run down, this is just some of the things wrong with this park i found during my visit apart from the entrance fee.a revisit to this park is not planned.

“Fantastic day out very reasonably priced”
Reviewed 30 July 2014

I booked for my daughters to do pony grooming on a Sunday and that included a free pony ride for £10 each. They spent a good half hour with the ponies grooming them then got to take them on a short ride. They really enjoyed this experience. After that my girls wanted to play in the playground. They spent a while here before moving on to the 100 aker wood. Before going to the hundred aker wood ask at the counter where you pay for the farm for a sheet with ten questions on it that the kids can find the answers to in the wood.....it made it more fun.....questions like....how many honeypots were there in the wood, what colour was Christopher robins door, how many windows did poohs house have etc. after this we went back to the play area. After this my girls were tired by this point we had been there 4 hours. There is a farm where you can see and feed farm animals. That is £3 per person to get in. Had my girls not had enough it would have been nice to go in to the farm. A thoroughly enjoyable day out. The weather was beautiful which makes a day out all the better. Lots of seating to enjoy a picnic. We sat near the lake enjoying the beautiful view with the ducks nearby. Was a glorious day that my girls loved and did not break the bank. Parking for the day is £4.50.

Brought the girls over to Aldenham Country park for a good walk, we use to go here when they were smaller, we love the walks in this park, good exercise, lovely kiosk which sells tea/coffee, ice cream etc., enjoyable day out.

“All At Aldenham”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

My family have visited Aldenham Country Park on many occasions over the years as it offers so many enjoyable activities for a family day out. Located near to Elstree between the Aldenham Road and Watling Street in Hertfordshire, the park has a large parkland, woodland and reservoir. There is a pay car park on site and activities include walking, fishing, playgrounds and a Winnie-the-Pooh natural themed open area. There is a farm centre to visit with an admission fee which breeds livestock including longhorn cattle, goats, pigs and sheep. Refreshments are available on site, ideally take a picnic as there are lots of places to sit and relax. Don't pop in, plan and enjoy a day out to be enjoyed by all ages and get away from it all at Aldenham.

“Great place”
Reviewed 12 July 2014

The setting is fantastic with something for everybody. It's now a shame that they charge you £4.50 to park your car. It appears greedy
