Gosh, what a waste of money... Had to get this room last minute as my boyfriend missed his train to the Midlands and needed a place to stay. Our room was right opposite the reception desk and because the owner had converted every single space into rooms, the room's door was dodgy and we could see shadows from underneath - it didn't fit properly. That also meant that we could hear a lot of noises - phone ringing, door bell and people walking in whenever as you got given a key. Eastern European owner had bad manners and didn't know much about customer service. Our room had NO windows and our kettle had to be on the floor as the cord wasn't long enough! I suggest she stop being money-pinching and invest more in her 'inn'.
Don't bother with this one.

Room Tip: Steer clear of ground floor rooms

Me and my fiancé ordered this hotel as a get away for two days. Once we arrived, the manager/receptionist was very rude explaining that check-in time is 3 o'clock, she never told my fiancé this on the phone so we was left gutted.
She then charged my credit card £190 when the price is only £119, I noticed this on the receipt she gave us and told her that its an incorrect price and that it says two different prices. She blamed it on her not having a very good day, she then showed us to our room which at first was very clean and looked cosy, but within a day of staying, me and my fiancé banged our heads on the telly several times, the bathroom door couldn't open all the way because the bed was blocking it, the chandilear hanging down from the ceiling had wires poking out of it and it didn't look very safe, it was hanging by a thick thread! We later found drugs under the bed, the bed was broken too.
My fiancé reported it to the lady as he was appalled and all she said is that she can't do nothing about it and that their was going to be a meeting but nothing happened, she acted as if it didn't happen at all. Later that day I checked my balance and it said it was in, I couldn't draw it out due to it being credited! I explained to the woman that if she could fax it to make it quicker, she didn't understand and was very rude, she was also saying it was the banks fault and nothing to do with her, she was rude to the bank people too. I have to wait 6-7 days until our money comes into my account. We went downstairs to have a smoke and I heard the woman taking bad about us, complaining when we haven't done anything at all wrong! This is very unprofessional, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone! If you wanna keep your money, go to premier inn or travel lodge, it's much better and cleaner and the staff ain't as rude as this woman!
Overall service, disgusting. I will be filing a massive complaint towards her, the breakfast is also a £10 charge and its only a crossaint, juice, fruit and cereal.
Will be putting photos on for you to all to see as well, AVOID THIS HOTEL!

greeted by a pleasant lady at reception, showed us to our room, room was cold on arrival but heating was turned on in room for us and was warm and cosy within 15 minutes.
room was clean, beds were clean and comfy, plasma tv, coffee and tea making facilities, dressing table and wardrobe.
my only criticism is that the bathroom although clean, was very small and very outdated !!

overall........a clean and comfy stay but ''no breakfast'' !!

We stayed here as there was a family wedding nearby and Hotel selection in the area is scarce, which I presume why this "business" still stays afloat. The owner from the outset was rude and abrasive, with vulgar jokes about the big mirror in our room and its potential uses. Our room was upstairs and was reasonably sized for London, the downstairs rooms, however, where the rest of the family stayed were minute, the ends of the bed touched the sides of the wall. Cleanliness was just about acceptable, with the exception of the bathrooms, which are tatty and tired, very much like an old peoples home. I wouldn't mind it so much if the showerhead had worked and my wife and I were not reduced to sitting in the tub using a coffee cup to have a "shower". The most disappointing thing was the breakfast, which allegedly is included in the price . This is not your customary cooked, full English found in most B&Bs but rather 2 packaged croissants some jam , 30g pack of cornflakes and 3 sachets of instant coffee left next to our bed in the room from the night before.the room was not cleaned and the "breakfast" not replaced for the next morning even though we stayed for 2 nights. The rest of the family had issues with the heating, which could not be turned off and felt like they were in a sauna. To add insult to injury, as we were slightly late to check out after a 4am finish to the wedding the next morning, the owner was complaining in full volume to other customers about customers"not being bothered to get out of bed in time", true to an extent, but unprofessional.
It is sad to see how theres complete lack of pride in providing any semblance of good service. This is indeed the sort of place you find slaughtered on shows like the hotel inspector, and will not be returning here in this lifetime (or the next)

Room Tip: Avoid if you can, but if you must stay upstairs.

The double room was so small the bed just fitted into it. A wooden "thing" in the corner as suposed to act was a place to hang clothes with a TV overhanging the bed at head hight. If you needed to use the bathroom , you had to side shuffle and duck your head.NO handle on toilet window. NO knobs on the bathroom cabinate unlt only sharp screws sticking out. No bath/shower mat provided. Hallway light did not work but discovered it was not requires because the stair light was on ALL NIGHT and shone straight into our room. The bedroom window blind was stuck open and the curtains were dirty. The window had no stay and would swing fully open in the wind. We had to keep it closed. The floor needed a good vacuuming. Work was being carried out so there was no escape to the Lounge or bar it was not in use. The front of the building is for car parking. A tree takes up a third of the area and a curved wall makes parking very difficult for more than two cars. We refused the £5 breakfast tray and went 500 yards down the road and got a full english for £3.50. I would not recommend anyone to go to this hotel.

I stayed here for one night on business: I have stayed here before but this time there was building work going on; the dining room which was used for breakfast the last time I stayed had been converted into additional bedrooms, The only breakfast available is a tray costing £5 which consists of a croissant, toast and coffee (no fresh fruit or cereal.)
The room was very dark and not very clean; especially the bathroom which had a previous guest's old bar of soap in the shower! There was no hot water in the morning and the man on reception didn't seem bothered when I mentioned it, the reception is staffed on a very oart time basis with nobody there at night. There was also a lot of noise from the builders on site; Thankfully this stopped at night but it was difficult to relax in my room during the early evening. I would definitely not stay here again and would not recommend.
