“Lovely stay”
Reviewed 27 January 2014 via mobile

On arrival we were met by a very pleasant man ( he was Spanish) he was very professional and another young man that gave us some information about bars in the area.

The hotel was very nice. Beds lovely and comfy.

The staff are all extremely professional and well trained I could not fault any Member of staff.

I'm looking at getting married next year and considering this hotel mainly due to the staff as they're very efficient and would put my trust in them on my special day!

Definitely recommended this hotel to anyone that wants a hotel with lovely grounds and professional staff

Thank you for taking time to review the Royal Chace Hotel on Trip Adviser.

I have passed on your kind praise to Uni Merino on the front desk who you felt went out of his way to ensure you were greeted in a professional manner upon arrival.

We are very lucky to have the staff we have at the Royal Chace as although we do have training plans in every department and sound communication links you have to have inbuilt self motivation to do well in hospitality and I'm pleased to say we have this in abundance and I am pleased you have recognised this.

Sue and Josh in the Sales office would be more than happy to discuss any plans you have for next year and will await your call.

Thanks you once again.

Kind regards

Had another excellent stay at The Royal Chace this weekend. We had a party for my mother's 80th Birthday all I can say is nothing is too much trouble for the staff at this Hotel, they are very friendly helpful and courteous. The party room was excellent and presented beautifully and everything went accordingly to plan. Thank you Joshua for organising everything it was much appreciated by all our family. Looking forward to another stay very soon.

I arranged to take a party of friends and family to The Royal Chase Hotel in Enfield for New Years Eve. We had a wonderful evening. We were in a very pretty room. The food was excellent and served by courteous and friendly staff. The disco played good music. At New Year the sound of Big Ben could be heard. We will certainly consider another New Year celebration there

Thank you for your review of our New Years Eve celebration dinner and dance.

Nearly 200 people enjoyed the evening with dinner followed by a Disco into the early hours.

Thank you once again for talking the time to review the Royal Chace Hotel.

Good Afternoon,

I was interested to read that you had enjoyed exploring London using the Hotel as a base as we are finding more and more of our guests are doing likewise.

A short taxi ride from the Hotel takes you to Cockfosters tube station and 40 minutes later you can be in Covent Garden with all that has to offer.

Thank you once again for your review.

Having previously attended a wedding here we decided to spend the New Year at the Dinner Dance and overnight package.

The prices were good for what was being offered. I am tall and the request for a large bed was willingly arranged without any problem. The quality of the bathroom was to a high standard. Sometimes a long wait with a running tap for hot water. The radiators were a bit noisy and sound insulation between rooms and corridors leaves a bit to be desired.

The evening function room was well decorated, the meal was good and especially so when it was being served to a couple of hundred people.

Breakfast was fresh with a variety of hot and cold food that was regularly being topped up.

On both visits we found that the staff were excellent, friendly, professional and accommodating. The hotel has plenty of parking adjacent to the entrance , in howling wet weather an advantage. We would stay here again.

Thank you for your review of the Royal Chace Hotel and for deciding to reserve the Hotel for this years New Years Eve celebrations.

The banqueting department have excelled this festive period serving nearly 3000 covers to Party night customers as well as 200 on New Years Eve, making it one of the busiest festive periods for a few years.

I was pleased to read you enjoyed the event and thank you for taking the time to review the Royal Chace Hotel on TripAdviser.

Why would you put a four poster bed in a room that would struggle to accommodate a single, and why are the rooms so tiny anyway? Why are there no ironing boards/irons in the rooms & why, when I asked for an iron and board, did I have to sign a form to absolve the hotel of any responsibility should I harm myself with it? What's the point of having a jacuzzi function in a bath so small you can't sit comfortably in it (I'm 6', which isn't exactly tall)?

Grandiose ideas are best in grandiose places: this hotel is a bog-standard place as far as accommodation goes and it would be best to avoid trying to pretend otherwise. The rooms are very small so please furnish (and describe) them accordingly.

It is clean, the staff is friendly, there is parking, there is free Internet, there's a gym and a pool (outside). I can't comment on the food as I haven't eaten here, although I hope they provide something other than the boringly ubiquitous "full English" for breakfast. Would I stay here for business? Maybe. Would I stay for leisure? No.

Room Tip: I don't think there are any good rooms. Don't pay extra for a 4 poster; it's just a wast...

Thank you for your review regarding your stay at the Royal Chace Hotel in late December.

Perhaps one of our premier four poster rooms would have suited you more as it has a whirlpool Bath in the room , a separate walk in shower room and a conservatory to relax in.

With regards to your questions what I can say is we wouldn't put certain systems or procedures in place if there wasn't a need to and in addition to health options we do provide a full English breakfast.

Thank you once again.

We can remember a time before this hotel was built. My sister-in-law had her wedding reception there in 1985. We had moved away from Enfield by then, so we stayed there then with our two young children who were bridesmaid and page boy. It was quite a posh hotel in those days.
I think the years have not been kind to the Royal Chace. We had to queue for over 15 minutes to check in. The room was fine but the pillows were hard. In the morning, the cooked breakfast had been hanging around for a while under the lights and some of it was only luke warm .The waitress started to pour the tea as soon as she brought it to the table. Everyone knows that hotel tea is never strong enough and needs to brew for a while!
