Following recommendations from friends my wife & I ventured into Goole to try out the restaurant. The decor is nice & the layout spacious with only 1 other diner when we walked in. Staff were very attentive & pleasant, taking time to make sure we were well cared for. We became aware there was a function on elsewhere in the hotel, but only via the sound of happy customers having a good time. The food was delightful, especially the Lamb Shank, prices reasonable in our view, with a very nice Sauvignon Blanc very well priced. We will definitely be back again, a great find.

Thank Stu B

Thought I would treat the wife to afternoon tea, what a disappointment ,big truckers type sandwiches, thick slabs of cake. Completely missing the fineness of what an afternoon tea should be. Will not be returning.

Was super quiet, and popped in having only heard of it. Went with husband and daughter. Brilliant service from waitress/front of house. And very accommodating of our one year old making her something off the menu. My husband and I both had hit meat sandwiches. Make sure you are hungry as they are ENORMOUS! The meat was so tender though and was really good. Chips were also good, and not salty at all (in comparison to other reviews). As it was quiet cannot really comment on atmosphere, but the room is lovely and airy! A nice surprise to find in goole!

I attended a works Christmas party the other week and was really disappointed!
We had paid £20 for 3 courses.
The garlic mushroom starter was lovely however the bread they were sat on was so hard it would've broken a tooth had I eaten it.
The turkey dinner was more than disappointing, chewy turkey, and the stuffing was over seasoned and reheated. The veg was disappointing however the roast potatoes were lovely.
The New York cheesecake was absolutely awful and I wouldn't ever recommend it to anyone. It tasted like Goats cheese and smelt like feet.
The after disco was good and the DJ was very welcoming and happy to play all our requests which made the night enjoyable. However later on in the evening two of the girls that were waiting tables took to the dance floor in their uniforms and completely took over, throwing their ties to the ground and swinging their waist coats about. Many at the party found this rather intimidating and didn't dare get up and dance whilst they were there for fear of getting whacked in the face! Not professional at all in my opinion.

went for a meal with a friend, food was covered in salt and pepper, before we got chance to season it our self's...staff were friendly at the start about 2 mins after we got our food they came and asked if "everything was ok" (hadn't even had chance to start the meal yet) then didn't come back and couldn't find staff to complain to until they came and cleaned another table upside was that we got some money off our bill at the end.... not impressed. wont be going again
