Just returned from our second Sunday carvery lunch at the Lowther Hotel and it was excellent. There was a choice of turkey, beef, pork and ham accompanied by at least eight vegetables. The meats were tender and succulent and everything was hot. The staff were pleasant and attentive and the surroundings were comfortable and tasteful. We shally be going again the Lowther.

A traditional hotel with comfortable rooms at reasonable price. Hotel location could have been busy once but now the hotel is the only attraction in the road. Hotel has private parking but loads of parking on the road and also in front of the hotel. Hotel breakfast is excellent, dinner is best if the head chef would be present. Hotel staff tend to remember regular customers and provide excellent tailored service, highly recommended

Attended New Years Eve function at 'The Lowther`. What a great night out. Staff, led by hosts Howard and Julie, were attentive and friendly, entertainment was lively, New Orleans style buffet amazing, value for money great. Thanks to all for a wonderful time.

Held my first business meeting at the Lowther Hotel this week and have to say how impressed I was. The hotel itself is a beautiful building and decorated to a high standard. Great impression for 1st time attendees. The room used for our meeting had all the facilities we needed and the staff were second to none in the service offered. Will definitely be back as my business grows. Thank you Lowther Hotel

Me and my husband stayed in the Lowther last Saturday, wow. we were very impressed. Room great, food great, staff great, couldnt ask for more. Goole is full of history, this visit brought lots of lovely warm memories back to me as I used to visit my grandparents there when I was a little girl. Thanx to all the staff, we will be back. First stayed here in Feb 2011 and came back as I have relatives in the town. When you drive down Aire Street, it's impossible to believe that this lovely hotel is there, but it is, so keep the faith. Had a different room this time, room 205, which was lovely, but gosh, it was hot! Therefore, I made sure all rads and towel rail were off, and the staff put a fan in the room and left a window open too. Stayed here with family. Daughter has IBS and the chef was really good. The food was lovely. Daughter had a couple of "smoothie cocktails" and was really impressed. The "Voodoo Chilli Vodka Lounge" is really smart...and it looks like this hotel has really "upped its game" since we last went. The staff were great, really helpful and Howard is brilliant...a very good "front of house" host and makes everybody feel special. He has time for everybody. Take some time to have a look at the docks, it's very interesting! Good work folks...keep it up. Howard...keep smiling! All the very best.

Room Tip: Lots of stairs, not steep though, so easy to tackle, but there is a lot of them, so if you're no...

Stayed here overnight on the 5th October 2012 and the staff could not have been more helpful.
When we couldn't get any taxis to take us to a dinner the staff used their own cars to ferry us across town.
The room was very clean and airy and the breakfast was great. Many thanks to all
