“Traffic noise”
Reviewed 2 August 2012

Do not stop at this hotel if you struggle to sleep with constant traffic noise. It doesn't stop all night. It was not helped by having windows which did not close let alone lock. This was repeated in a second room. The hotel had also allowed a company to work in the car park creating even more noise until well into the evening. It only stopped when I made a direct request for it to be dealt with. Rooms are quite spacious, clean and well appointed but very old fashoined with tired decor.

I stayed here as part of a larger group undertaking an installation in Central London. The staff and management were very helpful and understanding of our specific requirements of early starts/ late finishes etc and also of us taking up lots of space in the rear car park. Is it the Ritz - no (thankfully!) but it is clean, helpful and value for money.

The Bridge is an ok stay. I stayed here for a few weeks, the menu is limited but if you want a hotel in this location thats clean and a fair the Bridge is for you. The staff are freindly and I always felt welcome. It would not be a disapointment if I returned. I would recomend a stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back, the A40 is a busy road

I stayed at the hotel for just one night when visiting my friend's daughter's christening in Greenford. The main reason for staying here was cost and location, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Its bang on a main road and the area surrounding it isn't the prettiest, but the staff were friendly, it has a really nice 'pub' bar with comfy seats, the rooms are decent sized, clean and modern. I booked online and got breakfast included, which was pretty good as well. I had no problem with the noise outside - in fact my only issue with noise were the inconsiderate guests standing chatting loudly outside my door at stupid o'clock in the morning! Definately would recommend it if you want to be in that part of London.

The Bridge is ok, freindly staff you can have a laugh and a joke with. House keeping do a good job. The menu is limited. You do get free Wi-Fi. Vans in car park are prone to unwanted attention. It is conveiniant for work purposes. A pub with some where to sleep and eat. Clean and freindly. Stayed here twice for work requirements.

This would have been a great place to stay - comfortable enough rooms, nice 'pub' bar and restaraunt plus well placed - BUT if traffic noise bothers you then please think twice as you will be bothered by it.
I do appreciate a hotel that advises of proxiomity to major road links and this one did not.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from road and maybe this will be perfect!

Bridge Hotel review

Check-in was efficient and friendly.

The room was clean, quite large, was tastefully decorated and had free WiFi (password given at check-in).
There was a decent sized wall-mounted flat screen TV, but unfortunately the majority of Freeview channels were unavailable.
The bed was your typical 2-singles-lashed-together-to-make-a-double affair, which was large and comfortable.
There was a decent sized desk and comfortable high-backed chair which was ideal for typing up my tripadvisor®.co.uk review and checking emails.
Additionally there was a small table plus a couple of chairs and a cupboard with an iron and ironing board.
The room had an air conditioning unit, which I didn't need to use on this trip.

The room was surprisingly quiet, considering that there is a busy road just across from the car park.

The bathroom had a bath with shower and was in a good state of repair, although the bath was a bit narrow.

The exterior of the hotel is looking a little shabby, specifically the window frames need repainting.

Location-wise it's a short walk or taxi ride from Greenford overground / tube station (on the Central line).
There is a decent sized car park which is covered by CCTV and has gated access, so it should be a fairly safe place to leave a car. The car park at the front is on a slant and is prone to flooding during heavy rain, so make sure don't park at the bottom of the slope, or just park at the back or side of the hotel.

There's an integral bar in the building which has a bit of olde-worlde charm to it thanks to the tasteful wood panelling on the walls. The bar serves pub-grub favourites which I didn't sample as the restaurant offered a better choice of food. The drink prices in the bar were surprisingly high.

My travelling companions were disappointed by the slow service at breakfast, which seemed to be down to lack of staff. I ate breakfast later and had no problems getting served. There seems to be an amnesia problem with certain staff at breakfast – on 2 separate days I asked for toast which failed to turn up.

The restaurant offered a good choice of dishes. The food was reasonably priced, tasty and good value for money.

The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the hotel, bar and restaurant.
